Hi, I usually make videos about tetris.
[TETR.IO] how to win and not lose // tetris macro (strategy) guide
Understanding how to play tetris as a multiplayer game and not a singleplayer game is kinda confusing when you're starting out, and then some dude comes up to you and starts telling you the top players are all looking at each others boards all the time and there's this deep complex layer to the game that you and I don't see and they're doing this thing called "macro" that's really cool and he can sell you some for $20 but really multiplayer tetris is a lot like singleplayer tetris there's just like a few extra things you need to consider. It also helps to have a plan going in, so that's what this video is about.

edit: hey, watching this video back, I think there were a lot of things I missed and I'm not super happy with how I presented this video as a guide in this format. I will probably revisit LST eventually! With that in mind, I renamed the video to "lecture" to leave space for a more well produced guide in the future lmao Hey guys, this week, I have an in depth LST guide! I did my best to try and ...

vid goog 👍
I'm glad a video like this is now made. I remember not understanding what the word macro meant, due to knowing what it meant in other games. Instead I went to the idea of strategies and plans. And here is what I have thought of for a while 1. There are many strategies people can do to go for winning and to not lose. A strategy is a plan, doing a plan often puts you again. A strategy can only work if you can do it against someone. This comes mostly with experience My response is to make a strategy when going in a match based on what I have observed before. My suggestion for players is to watch what they do and what their basic plan is. Next is to think of ways to stop or reduce their plan. Lastly, learn how to enable your own plans. 2. There are boons and flaws in every player, so use your strengths, use the weaknesses of your opponents, and cover yours. Often an outcome can be decided not in matchpoint, but in one crucial round. We learn and adapt from who we fight. We have moves we can do. It is up to you to decide if you will do it. I suggest to watch your replays, to analyze them with your plan in mind. Do this for others also and question and ask about their own plan. From learning, you can gain so much insight as even the smallest differences in placement can affect what your next move is. 3. Consistency is king, be consistent with what you are doing. For me it is more satisfying to be consistent with my actions. I would rather die making a mistake than making misdrops. But importantly, more complicated strategies only work so well when you can execute them. Not just in good decisions, but in actually placing the pieces. For my advice on consistency... Yeah, its not easy. But I have an idea, the idea of difficulty in boardstates. Some boards are easy. Many moves work, you can relax, you can make natural moves. But some are just really hard, either from having "only moves" or requiring certain pieces. There are boards that are difficult. It is hard to see, but easy to feel. Try to not get to these boards, or try to be second nature to these. It may just work. About screenwatching: I agree with the screenwatching part mostly, I have found that there are other ways to obtain information from opponents. From hearing cues to sending patterns. But I have felt that screenwatching is more common for crucial moments in deciding a win or loss. Just knowing what is really happening can really be game changing. So I would advise people to learn to take essential information when screenwatching fast. This can come with replay analysis, and attempting to watch on practice. And then screenwatch when you are about to send. By doing this, you learn the other ways to gather information without needing to look. I would recommend screenwatching midgame only if you can make a plan, and you can assess a board. Screenwatching in the opening phase is was easier. Do this to know the opponents opener, then act accodringly. All in all, one should know what to do, and know how to do it. Win more rounds, lose less to yourself, have fun doing what you want. But, I want to remind that "macro" or how it should be is real. It is just been jumbled and I believe the term may need a name change.
kez vibe
This is something that people need to keep in mind for any competitive game. Strategy, in its essentials, is very simple. It'll start imperfect then as you improve and learn, you can refine the strategy
you can definitely get SS 1.8 pps with this strategy. then if you learn a little bit of timing, you can get U rank
uh, you can get SS with 1pps...
