    Hi Alexandria, always good to see another video from you 😊 looking forward to seeing more, esp of new home etc. I use to have bad anxiety 2 years ago like yourself but after increasing my prayer life and relationship with God I’ve become calmer and no longer stress about the things I can’t control. I’m 30 (no kids/marriage) now and I’ve grown exponentially in faith and learned to take each day at a time and allowing God to do his will. Stay faithful to him and he will to you. ❤

    Currently a Recruiter, been doing it for 2 years and I’m burnt out. Any advice on how to pivot into being an HR specialist ?

    • @alexandria9870
      @alexandria9870 Месяц назад

      I feel this so much ! 100% update your resume of course but try to match a lot of what a specialist does to some of your roles listed. Do you mind sharing with me what positions you've held in HR? I feel like I can explain better If I know. In the interview stages I would sell myself in knowing HR laws, processes, compliance, coming up with scenarios to use as well.

      @@alexandria9870 Hello Alex, Yes, I am “older” 32, but early in my career. Which I feel makes it harder for me. I was an HR intern for 5 months, HR Assistant for a year and change, HR Recruiter my current role for 2 years. Prior to that was a receptionist for 3 years. Everything before that was unrelated. Familiar with HRIS systems Paycom, Workday, Dayforce. I want to work ideally with benefits. But I am open other options. I just really want to get out of recruitment lol

    • @alexandria9870
      @alexandria9870 Месяц назад

      @@RadioactiveDavid I completely understand because I just got out of my recruiting role because I was DONE with TA. I'm sure you've been applying to a bunch of HR Specialist/ Generalist roles, have you had someone in the roles look at your resume? I try to match my resume to the job descriptions posted. With my new HR role I went back to a coordinator position however I won't be in this position long I don't think. I was really just needing to get out of the recruiting role and company I was with. But when I was tweaking my resume I put in some of the postings jobs descriptions as my experience.

    Hello, my community college offers the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Human Resources Management. What do you think about this degree? I'm curious if it's possible to secure a job as an HR administrative assistant, HR assistant, or any entry-level position in the HR department with this degree. I want to gain experience and learn the basics first to ensure this is the career path I want to pursue before committing to a bachelor's degree. Thanks 😊

I think it's a fantastic Degree to have and I've met plenty of professionals who took this route. Some of which have become my mentors. I also think it's a great idea to explore this Degree path and see if this is something for you long term!

    • @alexandria9870
      @alexandria9870 6 месяцев назад

      Hiiii!!!! I was turning those in end of day or the next day! I had a reminder in my outlook everyday for it! It was extremely frustrating not getting them from the superintendents especially bc they always say they don't know. By Friday's we would take time to call the Superintendents or go to the site to get those terminations! At the company I work for now (still construction) my HRBP is on top of our Supers and Office Managers for that information. It's a constant chase down! We discover someone's getting benefits way after and having mini meltdowns because we'd been paying those costs!

      Hello! Thank you for your sharing and first off I am so sorry to hear that this has been your experience. I personally don't do well in positions where I don't understand my responsibilities. In my first two HR positions I was trained extensively on all of my responsibilities; I had a complete outline of my duties and was trained on a 3,6,9 month cycle and re-evaluated at a year. It was extremely organized and NOT all over the place.
