I wish the youtube algorithm had worked for me to get to your videos on my youtube to recommend pianoforall website instead of Ridelyacademy! So far, Ridley academy has charged me $1200 bucks and $1200 more to go for a bunch of videos that I just don't have time to watch right now with home renovations! And then supposedly, I am being given generous offer Ridley Academy for one on one piano teaching for the low, discounted price of $15,000 USD. But on Ridley Academy facebook, I do see at least 10 Stephen Ridley Academy students benefiting a lot from the basic course so far in the last 4 months that I had signed up (not really started at all). Thanks for sharing. Looks like the art is scanned in Black/White, and cleaned up for printing. I would have preferred a full color scan to catch the artwork in it's original form. When the art is cleaned up in printing we don't get to see the little pencil marks, notations, or inking corrections, all the personality of the artist's hard work. Carl Barks is an artist I'm particularly would love to see his comics in it's most original form to get deeper look into the artist. This book looks like an oversized reprint of his comics in BW, which is nice to have, but not the "Original" Art Edition that the book markets it's self. Even if Barks worked this clean in his original art we would see a variety of black tones in the ink instead of a flat crisp black. Alot of times artists would draw a scene, but choose to black over portions in shadow, in printing we would never tell the difference, but in the original art we can see an underdrawing below the black washes. Anyway, nice coffee table book, Barks is great.

Garvin is genuinely a nice guy. I loved his podcast with Jaffee. Sometimes we say things we don't mean-I've been there too. We're all human, and we all make mistakes. Are your arms too low relative to the height of the keys? I've just started learning myself, but I wonder if that's why your hands are getting tired.

I just bought a Yamaha 225 two weeks ago, so on the same journey! I'm using The Alfred's All in One book, and started taking lessons. Very curious to see your progress.

One thing I'd recommend in your practice: play the pieces down tempo, so there isn't as much as a pause when you're shifting hand positions. It'll be better in the long run for you. If you're experiencing excessive pain after practicing, check out some videos that detail exercises for minimising tension of the carpals. RUclips is a great resource for picking up piano tips.

I am glad a senior professional gaming artist is utilizing these tools. I don't see why using a very efficient tool to get inspiration or to get the basic framework to build more on is a bad idea. I think it's very inevitable that all devs/artists will end up using, so I would adapt.

I finally got the book and I absolutely love it. I love the paintings and the quality of the book itself. It's a book every Barks Fan should have.

Very interesting video! comfortable drawing speed in the video and an interesting plot. The thought occurred to me that oil on canvas has a greater historical value than on other media. Maybe I'm just used to seeing art on canvas more.) Anyway - Well done, John!
