I just picked up a pair on sale for around $400 and I know im late to the party, but wow, I love them. I never thought I liked neutral/balanced tunings but the URD does all genres well and is just so clean and non fatiguing I find myself listening to them for hours and hours on end. Luxurious sound. I have small ears too and I find them very comfortable despite the large shell.

1 “Balanced Armature”? I’ve gotten so used to having a “Dynamic Driver”, I’m not sure I could go back to a balanced only set of buds. I use my CA-Honeydew’s, Soundcore’s Liberty & Life 3 & 3i Pro’s that I feel spoiled now. What do you recommend from the KZ family to equal those mentioned sets? I loved my KZ 10X Pros but the paint came off & the pins would work loose on my right ear. I’d love your input. Thanks!

I’ve been loving the Liberty & Life Pro 3 & 3i I’ve been using. The clarity is great & the Bluetooth is so close to being in the “niche”, of being perfect but chorded are still superior on volume, drive & clarity. Soundcore is so close to making the 1st IEM/Earbud = to wired but not quite there yet. I’d like your info, knowledge & recommendations as you’ve NEVER steered me wrong yet!! Thank you so much!!!

I’d been using the 10X Pro’s but got turned onto the Soundcore by Ankor and the model Liberty 3’s & the BASS is awesome. I like the 3i Pro but volume is too low. Your take?

Thieaudios packaging, boxes, cables all of it is so cheap and tacky looking... It really bothers me. A $20 tangzu unboxing experience is better 😄let alone Kinera which is leagues above. I know some people dont care about that stuff and they rather the company put money into the iem performance, but I keep all original packaging and collect boxes. Even other companies that have simplistic packaging such as Penon, still have a more premium look and unboxing. However, I will say that their faceplates look fantastic.

I don't care about the looks, I want to know what they sound like! Same goes for the packaging...who cares! I certainly don't. The manufacturers should spend their time and money on producing the best sound, not the best box!

I am new to iems .. I just saw it like in RUclips video .. thern I went and got me from Amazon the most expensive one they had to offer.. and by chance it was thieaudio hype 4,, I looked it up in RUclips it was for the price the best out there.. I ordered it.. And now when I had the seam feeling like you where I just spent all my time only listening to music for two weeks 😂.. I after that returned it and now I am going for the flagship thieaudio Valhalla.. ❤ I am struggling between choosing the Valhalla as there are no reviews of it yet,, but because of that feeling I just mentioned I am going blindly order it with faith that it would be the best... Or going for the much older model the prestige ltd 😅 that every buddy are praising..

Too much moralizing, my friend. We're here for comparisons to see which IEM might suit our taste, not someone's personal opinion on marketing strategies. Marketing has existed since the dawn of retail. Market saturation will naturally cause some products to disappear and that has happened with speakers, headphones, TVs, etc. IEMs used to cost a fortune only a few years ago (upwards of $500USD), and now we are complaining about too many $50 IEMs?

The 2 links you posted for the AZLA eartips say the same thing: "currently unavailable". Divinus Velvet and Final Audio eartips are better for these IEM, IMHO. Thank you, great video.

PP's are awesome. I bought my first set before the ipod was available. And I thought that the Koss company really missed an opportunity to sell literally boatloads of these to people who got sick of sticking earbuds in their ears. I find it hard, yet pleasing, to believe that these humble little oddballs garner so much attention without any real promotion. Memo to Koss: figure out who the influencers are on the web and send out some. Better yet, don't. I like that I can still get them, and for so little.

I have the first ones as my daily driver. Love them. Can't wait to hear these. You're completely off and wrong about the shape of them. Way off. Most people love how they fit. Who cares how they look. They are one of the only IEM's you can side sleep with. Period. And that is not the cable that came with it from every other review I have seen. Not even close to the cable on other reviews. What's up with that?

Looking to purchase my first IEMS and trying to decide between the Monarch Mk3's and the Prestige Ltd's. I've heard the mids, highs and spaciousness of the LTD's are incredible but the bass is lacking, compared to the Monarch's. Is there a cable to add to the Prestige that would increase the bass at all? Would hate to pay that higher buck and not be happy with the bass.

I have tried MoonDrop Blessing 3 and Kato offline. I prefer the bass of Kato,Blessing 3 bass Too much gives me a headache and discomfort but Blessing 3 in other aspects. The E series tips fit great but the absolutely destroy the soundstage on these. I’d definitely go wide bore foam.

I’ve had iems in the $3,000 range that don’t come close to the Holocenes.

Great review. You convinced me! Which koss pro porta is? There's a "classic" version, a pro porta 3.0? yaxi pads black ordered. I have mmcx and 2 pin cables (to 3.5mm and 4mm). I've never soldered earphones and this is definitely an exciting approach to audio.
