This unit is located on W. Shady Grove Rd. and Gilbert Rd. in Grand Prairie, TX, an intersection often mistaken as Irving on the 'TomTom' maps many iPhone habitué rely on. This unit is located on the intersection of Preston Rd. and Forest Ln. in the Preston Hollow neighborhood of Dallas, the 'east egg' of the metroplex. The siren itself was your typical 2001-130 test. I live near this siren. On 5/27/24 when the severe storms came threw this siren sounded a lot higher pitch and louder than when they do the tests. It was kind of freaky.
Unfortunately this amazing nostalgic tone has gone away due to the 2020s being replaced with 2030s unless it’s gonna get downgraded

To all the T-128 haters, im fairly certain 2001s are on average 130 Decibels, where as the T-128 is well... 128 Decibels. The T-128 careies farther than 2001s because T-128s are lower pitched. Due to the extremely close proximity of the T-128 and FS 2001, the 2001 will be noticably louder at a closer range. T-128s arent trash.
This one sounds like the T-128 near my house at princeton road.

@@BACKFIREFUR The electrical box near the fire station caught fire and caused a regional power outage for a few minutes to an hour. Semi-recently replaced by a brand new 2001-130.
