A amazing using of that low health could be a Red gem infused heavy blade instead of mistwalker (late game)
Yeah, when i first landed in the ashlands, i was running full carapace armor, and i kept getting my ass kicked so much that my minimap looked like a graveyard, and when i heard that the root harnesk had crazy defense against pierce, i slapped that bitch on and died way WAY less, ofc if i get bum rushed by a million twitchers and warriors, i get my ass handed to me because the damage they still do is insane, but i can finally comfortably explore the biome withput having to be paranoid all the time, even when i have the full flametal armor built, i still take the root harnesk to the ashlands, it was a literal life and nerve saver 🤣
Why root armor? It has nothing and has fire weakness in lava biome
@@jakubcoufal4544 Barley Wine cancels its weakness. If you are curious, watch the full video. I cover the armors against all ashlands mobs.
Did you say what armour your using hard to see on my phone
@@lewishunt5272 I just had it listed in the text. Heavy helmet, Root chest, and mage pants. Use the best mage pants and heavy helm that you can.
That's a pretty dope arena
@@Mattyamungu Yeah they did a great job at making it
lol
These takes on the askvin cape are the most brain dead I’ve ever heard The clear use for the askvin cape is kiting mobs you can literally out walk them if you have the cape due to the buff all while regenerating your stamina or mana allowing you to fight effectively forever without ever getting hit you almost never need to jump in the Ashlands it’s all flat and climbing doesn’t help anyway askvin is far superior and one of the first items I made from the Ashlands definitely better than the mistlands cape arguably even situationally when compared to the flametal cape due too its armour you could argue it’s better but there is 0 purpose to run the mistlands cape xD
Glad we agree that you probably don't need the feather cape in the Ashlands. The Ashen cape however, is literally a stat stick of relevant combat stats in a combat oriented biome. You are totally right that there is not a better cape for kiting (in the direction of the wind) than the Asksvin. The Ashen cape will just offer me the ability to eliminate more enemies quicker. It just fits more playstyles and weapons. If kiting is your primary playstyle, then I can see how it would be very good.
yeah fire dmg weakness is just what i need in a lava based biome
Barley Wine cancels out the fire weakness of the root armor, and you probably want Barley wine in a lava based biome.
@@t0ssacoin408 yeah i do but i really dont see the point of root armor here
@@pavlestojanovic9631 root armor halves pierce damage. Pierce is a common enough damage type. The Morgen literally only does pierce damage for example.

I love this. I think PVP would be great for valheim if the devs fleshed it out a little more and gave more game modes and game otpions. It could turn into a viking Rust

yeah these guys make the game suck hard. its a joke, i found one that was level 11, i was level 13 with 13+ level gear, It can practically 1 shot me, not only do i run out of stamina blocking the attacks a melee attack does nothing to its hp.. total shit show. I thought lower level enemies are supposed to be weaker.. These guys ruin the fun of the game cause when you see them you have to just run away.. and if your in a area that you cant jump up and cheese them you are screwed, they got 20ft reach and can jump to you.. The devs are bone heads for making these guys too strong, and on top of that if you kill one, you a rune and torn cloth wtf.. straight bone heads.. The devs need to fix this shit and also revamp the loot dropped from enemies. I can get a rune and torn clock from a level 3 enemy, why i am i getting the same loot from a level 11+??
@@turboimport95 Honestly, if you could stagger them off one parry it wouldnt even feel that bad.
@@t0ssacoin408 problem also is, there are usually 2 of these guys at a time.. hard to block rear attacks from guys with 20ft reach, that attacks multiple times.. you would have to be realistically 10x levels higher then them to get a decent fight..it the devs removed these guys from the game, it would be so much better.
2:35 Do max it out, it's going the best way to kill Stone Golems in the Mountains and it's still solid for Moder Fight. 4:59: Dude, you brought up the Spike Mace. Use that and Parry them for faster Lox kills.
@@moonflowerpalace3872 Unupgraded iron mace handles the golems just fine. Or you could just walk away because they are super slow. I prefer to use the iron on the huntsman bow. Porcupine is good for everything but excellent at nothing. Hence why I gave the atgeir the honorable mention for handling the lox. It also is really useful for wheat and barley farming.
By far the worst kit to take into the ashlands the fire will kill you and the warriors will also almost 1 tap you
@@trevorchrisensen9228 I use it regularly without issue. I only recommend stuff If I have used it. Barley wine fixes the fire weakness, and you should have barley wine in the Ashlands anyways.

Me and my friend are entering mistlands. Is it worth to play mage? I wanna go mage because it's cool and something different, or maybe I should go hybrid? What are the items should I use and what foods to eat if I'm hybrid?
@@racszgamer1355 Both work just fine. Food is always what you can produce easiest that is still good. Usually for hybrid I use a seeker aspic, honey glazed chicken, and a salad.
@@t0ssacoin408 I went with two eitr food and one health food because I tried something similar to what you said but my eitr is a little low for me so that's why I have two eitr food and It works pretty well for me, tho I don't have much stamina but oh well. For armor, I went with fenris hood, root harnesk, and eitr-weave trousers. I used the fenris hood because It gives me speed and the harnesk for the seekers, but I'm weak to fire but not really a problem for me. I'm not sure if that's a good armor set but what can I change to make it better or maybe it's already good. I appreciate you taking the time to help me.
@@racszgamer1355 I would honestly swap the fenris hood for a carpace helm for more armor, or to the eitr weave hood for more regen. If you end up using the the staff of protection, swap your health food to a stamina food. Also, since you have a root chest (best armor piece for mistlands) make sure you have barley wine to deal with fire.
@@t0ssacoin408 I might just change the fenris hood to the eitr weave hood for the regen. I do use the staff of protection so I'll replace my health food into stamina food. I already have alot of barley wine so I'm good. Anyways, thanks alot for helping me!
@@racszgamer1355 Anytime!
Just dont catch on fire

In Ashlands...Staff of embers is GOD to get rid of spawners at a distance since it does some bludgeoning damage. As well as for dealing with balistae. Also also .. staff of frost + wilds. Throw down a couple of vines and use the frost staff to slow down enemies and keep them in range of the vines...
@@chinoborrego4828 Im not much of a mage player myself, but that sounds like a great strat.
Agreed, magic is great in Ashlands.
@@admiralspandy Definitely shines more in Ashlands than the Mistlands I feel like
@@t0ssacoin408 definitely, especially the staff of frost. Embers was always pretty good, but in the ashlands frost became excellent.
The Frostnear is one truly one of the most op things in this game considering how early you can possibly get it (even before bonemass) and how well it performs rest of the game. Heck its not even that bad in ashlands considering it has slow, knockback and most enemies take/are weak to spirit. In 1v1 the Frosty performs good even against 2 star warrior when you use the secondary attack. When timed correctly you can always knock it back without it being able to hit you. Good video btw man
@@joelhietaranta7186 Thanks! Yeah Frostner is always a solid choice. The only issue I have with is, is later I want to kill monsters quickly, but it has hella knockback, so I have to chase my kills.
All your honorable mentions are better choices imo. Literally no point to building ash weapons to kill ash mobs except for fun since lvl 4 mistwalker exists.
@@Silthanas I tried keeping my suggestions consistent with a weapon tree. My honorable mentions were for if someone wanted to branch out from the normal 3, then it would still be a good choice. The electric enchanted weapons are stronger than Mistwalker when it comes to raw dps, which I like for handling the mob spam in the Ashlands.
Underated content, great video
Appreciate it, these videos take way longer than I always expect lol
Another great video. Thank you for making this. it's so helpful for every stage of the game.🎉
Glad I could help!
I'd put finewood bow as number 1 for black forest. That thing can last you well into mountains, and if spend the time to level your bow skill you turn into Legolas.
I could definitely see it sharing the top spot with stagbreaker, however stagbreaker knockback has helped me cheese my way through too many dungeons to not give it a number 1 spot. Powerleveling bow on Bonemass does make using bows crazy lol
SotW should 100% be the first thing you make in the Ashlands, followed by Nidhogg the Thundering. Easily the best weapons for the biome.
@@itranscendencei7964 Probably the best staff in the biome
Great vid man, thanks!
glad you enjoyed it!
They REALLY need to tone down the enemy spawn. It's actually ridiculous. You'll have 3 or every mob type chasing you at times. Like wtf are we meant to do at that point??
They should have a patch coming soon that does that. It is currently in the player test beta.

I compared your videos to others and it looks like you haven't done anything with gains etc, no worries! @@removechan10298 I believe I was using a cheaper microphone at this point. Maybe that could contribute to it. I'm always stressin over how my audio sounds.
I technically got the razor before killing Eikthyr, but that's because I usually kill Eikthyr and the Elder pretty much back to back later on and instead take my sweet time to plan out my base and build defenses. I pretty much never mine copper myself anyway, I employ the trolls. Even if it means I have to haul it from greater distances. Tin is a little trickier because of how small it is, but I usually get a troll to mine just enough so I can make a bronze pickaxe and then mine tin myself. The razor is definitely amazing. It took me a while to give knives a chance, but once I did, I instantly fell in love with them.
Never even thought of trying to get it prior to eikthyr. That is insane lol.
@@t0ssacoin408 Hehe, I blame all the handy tips from youtube 😉. Once I learned how to dodge a troll and have him mine ore for me, Eikthyr stopped being a priority, because all you really need to progress is the pickaxe. Definitely not a universal advice though. It has a deadly learning curve 😅
@@msmichellewinchester Sometimes I forget how clever people have gotten at advancing past a biome without completing it. Trolls are usually my arch nemesis till I get a bronze buckler.
@@t0ssacoin408 I tend to have a problem forgetting I can parry them later in the game, because I spend such a long time dodging. I honestly don't tend to skip a lot (not a fan of glitches and without them you can't really progress through swamp unless you killed the Elder anyway). The next boss I usually wait on while also going into the next biome is Moder, but that's because I tend to have weird "luck" for seeds that have their good mountains surrounded by plains 😆
@@msmichellewinchester I think the plains are easier to enter from the swamp rather than the mountains. I never see the wolves coming, and it takes me a while to get used to the timing on their attack. Deathsquitoes are easy enough to dodge and then you have time to shoot them with your bow. Plains over mountains any day.
Pierce ? Huh...
The Morgen does all pierce damage. The root chest armor resists that damage type.
I would have never guessed
These are nice tips ❤ also for the onions- yes the onions are best if you can make the foods. Also you will need a looot of honey late game. The meads need them and also the honey glazed chicken. So a lot. I had 4 beehives but later i went and looked for 3 more. And now I am good. Also I play with my husband, so I am taking care if cooking and the honey production covers us both.
Glad I could help! Very true about the honey. I usually keep about 9 hives myself.
Thank you! This was a nice video, you really did a lot of edits 🎉
I appreciate it!
In very hard mode, it's instant death even with the best Mistland armor and food
They are insane, but very hard mode just feels unfair sometimes.
So the game is poorly balanced?
I think it is actually a pretty balanced game. The game is meant to be played with multiple weapon types. I'm going to be making an updated version of this video that will do a better job of showing this. One weapon per biome is oversimplified.
Chickens are hard to beat. Great food production and arrow supplies.
That's why they are the fave!
what about fenrir leggings for fire res
You need the whole set for the fire resist. This vid is kind of old and out of date. I have newer ones that cover the same stuff. You take fenris legs for the movment speed bonus. Root chest almost always. Lastly, whatever is the strongest helmet you can wear. That is basically best in slot till the Ashlands.
the fact that the warlock hits like a truck is because you are wearing the feather cape, it is VERY weak to fire. take it off when fighting warlocks it helps
Good point, the fire portion of their attack does a sizeable amount of damage to root and the feather cape.
Why is your Ashlands missing the enemies? If I sprint more than two seconds in Ashlands I’ll have 2x valkyries, a Morgan, 4x askvins (at least 2 of them 1*) and I dunno maybe 15-20 charred.
Lol, this is just how mine is. I get them in waves it feels like.
I kinda bad in english, could you help me with list of your mixed armor? Thankyou in advance
Root Harnesk, Carapace helm, and Fenris greaves. The helmet and pants change based upon what you have available to you. The Root chest piece is constant though.

Wolf jerky and Modor... meta content right here fellas.
We were exploring different mists, hence the moder. The wolf jerky is just because it is easy to make a ton of and not terrible. The seeker would have damaged through the block no matter what the food. With Krom, I'm pretty sure you need 3 high tier health foods to block the attack and not get staggered. Still take big damage doe.
@@t0ssacoin408 Depends on your block skill, if your much under 60, there's not enough hp food in the game to get you to parry a 2 star claw attack
@@waynerackley Just tested it. 100 Block, Full Flametal with Ash Cape maxed, Maxxed Krom and 285 hp (3 quality health foods). I could parry the 2 star seeker, but still lost health about 4-6. Stagger bar got pretty full from one hit. Next I did it the same block and krom, maxxed Carapace and feather cape, with 211hp (2 quality health foods and 1 stam). I could just barely parry the 2 star seeker (stagger bar was just about full). The seeker did manage to stagger me a few times but not many. If I would have tried to parry a second attack in succession I would have definitely been staggered. I was of course still losing health on parry. Roughly 10hp. Conclusion, 2 star seekers are insane. Krom just doesnt have the block armor to stop damage from coming through even with 100 block. Rip to anybody with a subpar block and gear. (especially since I feel like block takes forever to level)
@@t0ssacoin408 I'd be curious if you repeat the test and ate the same foods but with 0 block and bonemass activated?
@@symeonnoemys6838 My guess would be that the parry gets broken and you get staggered, and you take somewhere in the ballpark of 20-50 damage depending on the attack. Just my guess though.
My playthrough Flint dagger through meadows, sneak jump those deer. Upgrade to copper and Abyssal Razor when you get nails for Carve and Fine wood bow to cheese Elder. Abyssal razor through swamp but need iron mace for Bonemass. Silver dagger were a bit meh, so Frostner + Draugur Fang it is and those work well through Plains too. Mistlands goes nicely with Skoll and Hati and Arbalest because it's there or Spinesnap since bow skill is already good. Next stop Ashlands and no idea what there is :P
Goodluck in the Ashlands. I dont want to spoil too much, but unluckily there is not a new dagger in that biome.
