i need your help pls (it didn"t work for me) so i have a didecated server runs by steamcmd and i like it i can host cs2 official games and custom maps with (_insecure) with friends but this method to run workshop maps cant work for me always server :idle this is what i use in server : steamcmd\\steamcmd.exe +force_install_dir ../server/ +login (user name) (password) +app_update 730 validate +quit cd server\\game\\bin\\win64 start /wait cs2.exe -dedicated -usercon -console -secure -dev +game_type 0 +game_mode 0 +sv_logfile 1 -serverlogging +sv_setsteamaccount DB67B29............. +map de_mirage +host_workshop_collection 3141500790 +exec server.cfg . . .i tried removing +map de_mirage and making +game_alias casual but didn't work too

it would be cool and i would welcome it with open arms but having to make a ton and i mean a ton of new breakable assets to make it possible using the S2 engine it seems unlikely

hey, is the rcon stuff working finally? can i login as a client with the rcon password and execute commands through the clients console? also my server isnt loading the workshopmaps, it simply stays on the default map. Update: I put the workshop collection command in the _serverSettings.cfg file and it worked.

@@JishJosh Thank you for being honest josh other folks got to hear this stuff so they can learn too. I been smoking weed daily for a few years and starting to get lung issues, wheezing etc. But no one told me about that stuff before starting.
yeah it is a lesson that can be passed on i think with weed its hit or miss trouble is a lot of weed that is grown with chemicals will onset that faster not saying organically grown weed is any better for you just less of a chance of it really doing a number on your lungs and heart when it comes to smoking i still do that from time to time as i'm prescribed it for my adhd and Asperger syndrome i would rather eat edibles or use the oils over smoking these days but my dad still cracking on 87 still smokes 20 a day and has been since the age of 15 so hopefully i have his lungs in my body

Hi... Im getting an error : Failed loading resource "maps/warehouseskyscrapper/world.vrman_c" (ERROR_FILEOPEN: File not found) Once this happens the servers shut down... For some reason It says It cant find the map file, but I'm not too sure why. I tried to change the file name multiple times. Even use the file ""code number"" that can be found at D:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\730\3080212392

Hey Josh, the servers been working great for a week but now I am getting 'client is out of date' how can I update my servers version. I have tried app_update 730 & 740 but I get 'unknown command "app_update"!'

Is there any tutorial if i have an own deticated server from an provider? how can i put workshop maps in my list?
providers will have a GUI interface that you can use to edit settings i would either fire your provider a ticket or there should be a host workshop map section somewhere in their settings
Hey Josh! Thanks for another great video. I followed your first one to host my server. Glad to see this one :) So doing this instead of donwloading the map and putting it in the CSmaps-folder means that my friends can join without having to download the map locally, is that correct?
yes now that the workshop is out if you host a workshop map or collection on your server your friends should be able to join without the hassle of manually downloading maps it should automatically download it for them when they try and connect to your server now
@@JishJosh That's super cool. Actually tried it out after commenting and it works like a charm :) Only thing that doesn't work is Cobblestone. I've tried Valves own official and other but no go. Have you managed to make it work?

howdo you upload your map to the steam workshop?
you have to use the workshop tools there is an upload feature right on the tools
how can you add maps you have downloaded in the workshop to the server?
you need to add the files to your game map files manually to play custom maps on your server download them from the workshop then add the vpk of whatever map you downloaded to your cs2 map folder and then add it to your map rotation in your server config files or load them map on your server console i have not tried since the workshop release it might be simpler than that now i will find out and make a new updated video soon
@@JishJosh Thanks for the reply! I got a custom map to load, but when having a friend connect, they get "required map is missing on your client". Is there a command to have clients to be able to download the map needed when connecting? I remember having to download custom maps on old surf maps for example.

me either kinda sucks it came out of the game but i am loving the new tools we all get to use now for now you can download maps from gamebanana or similar stick the vpk files in your games map folder manually add the -insecure tag to your steam launch properties for CS2 and load it using [map (map_name)] in the console bit of a pain but it can be done
