Pelham Bay Park holds lots of fascinating history and secrets. Also the wildlife is prolific in many areas.Its the largest park in Nyc at 2,772 acres. The Siwanoy trail gets pretty thick and occasionally a bit creepy.But the peace I find is soothing. The kazimiroff nature trail is another gem behind Orchard Beach.

My dog. Snoopy was not mean he lived catty corner from me on glenwood ave. My dog would pullaway from me. The dog had a heart which was to big for his bodyand would have a siezure. I worked in the post office and would take snoopy for a walk on the Aquaduct

I spoke to the 90 year old man, That was the Newtown Historian, In the Library , That Mine was worked for 150 Years, He showed me a Ledger were they where sending dirt for testing, I think it was 72 cents of gold and 33 cents in silver per ton was the figures, It made know since that Mine was Blown up entrance in 1909, He thought it was to keep people from going in, BUT in 1909, I have always thought there was a bigger reason for closing it up, 30 years ago some friends I know, started digging it open, They were drinking , they camped out for 4 days, They were able to get a opening, But Kept hearing Noises in the mine and got scared to go in,. The way he told me 24 inch opening, 1 of his friends slide down, But kept hearing things and hurried out , so thats the story, I do Believe they did this, I know him well and still lives close by to this day, That was in the 90's. To this day, I cant get it out of my Mind that something was put in there and Hidden, Gold or silver, stolen from the war, I,m in my 60's now, Just cant get it out of my head, Gold and silver was stolen all the time during war. Think about it. . I bet 5 good men could dig it out in 1 day, .Could be something worth trying for. I live 1 mile from it .

It's funny: I've lived in this town for over 20 years and I'm still discovering new parts of it and things about it. New Milford doesn't have a massive population but it's the largest town in Connecticut by area.

There is one on the edge of the backyard, right at the backside of the Palisades, in Palisades NY. It reminds me of a big gray African elephant. Scientists from Lamont Geological Observatory came to the house to see it. The granite is only found in New Hampshire.

That’s not how we pronounce his name in NY Nj area!! Maybe this guy is Polish and knows the real way to say it but I heard him talking and wasn’t watching and thought that sounds the famous Kozz E you skow the Bridge in Brooklyn is named after. When I read it I knew who it was.
