If you pause the game and then press A, there's a menu with a selection to turn the music off.

The main points are: 1) ARM's so-called "energy efficiency" advantage is either negligible or doesn't exist because most of the CPU's die is not the CPU but the cache memory. All modern CPUs are mostly cache. You can fit a butt-ton of logic and most of the transistors will be for L1, L2, and L3 cache. I show a Ryzen die shot at 11:40, a very complex and dense x86 CPU with more logic than any other CPU other than Intel's own CPUs probably. Despite even with the incredibly huge AVX512, Ryzen is still mostly cache. 2) ARM is anti-consumer due to its lack of standardization. Other RISC ISAs like RISC-V and PowerPC are better about this, but x86 is the best simply due to the guaranteed backwards compatibility. 3) RISC ISAs are supposed to bank on having a good compiler, but how are you gonna have a good compiler with a limited toolset? The "good compiler" argument works both ways btw. Intel Itanium, which is VLIW (not CISC or RISC) was supposed to beat x86 because it was banking on having a good compiler. Unless you make the compiler yourself, don't use it as an argument. Also, making a good compiler is not fun if all you have are very simple and basic assembly instructions. There's other stuff like how ARM has SIMD instructions anyways so as you say no point in calling it RISC anymore. But thanks for watching even 10 minutes!

@@sharoyveduchi K so you are coming at from a general computing perspective. In general I do agree with you from that perspective. I am coming from the the embedded space perspective. Most of my work is done on ARM cortex-Mxx. x86 based CPUs are rarely a consideration or even a option. Most of my stuff is purpose built. I like to call them expensive bricks. So bear this in mind. Some things to consider. 1) Looking at 2 competing products. LattePanda 3 Delta (x86) and a Raspberry pi 5 (ARM). At cursory glance the power consumption goes to ARM. In most case when a x86 processor is present the power supply needs to be beefed up in my experience/observation. 2) Depend who you are referring to as the consumer. From a engineering perspective it is a wet dream. You can really get some really purpose built stuff. The only way you can get some of there propose built items is to extend the ISA be it general or manufacture specific. The lack of IO on x86 has always bothered me. There is always some co-processor involved. We'll have to see how RISC-V pans out in this regard. 3} It's even less fun when you got no ALU to speak of and don't get me started on floating point.

You can just change the resolution to 640x480 if you really want to. If you're on the BIOS bootloader version of Zeal you just go to KStart16 and change lines 73 and 74 to be set to 640 and 480 instead of 1024 and 768. If you're on the UEFI bootloader version of Zeal, you change the Limine configuration files (I forgot which file it was).

Yeah it's been a while and I've been replaying some more every now and then and I probably did them too dirty. They have some advantages like their space troop carrier is better since it carries more people and its homing missiles can defeat fighters pretty easily. The heroes are also better than the rebel heroes.

It's not even as much damage as a detonator and you get one less. With supply bonus it could be more viable for that but still very slow.

Vanilla IWADs should work but PWADs that require a limit removing source port definitely won't.

No problem. I'm not sure if I'll do the other two episodes yet, but I'm really happy this exists. This is a *real* project and it's clear as day it took a lot of effort to get this all working. I hope others follow your example and code more stuff for TempleOS either 100% vanilla like you did or with extra features but the point is that this level of hard work is still almost unheard of when it comes to the TempleOS community. A lot of programs feel unfinished and very "scrappy". TOOM isn't perfect, but it can definitely be called complete and that's more than I can say about a lot of things.
