Blow Over & Beaver Chew
On a hike in the Boreal Forest it becomes evident that the forest is always changing. Either through blow overs, blow downs, or beavers chewing down trees, the environment is ever evolving into something different.

Ever changing stream meanders through the boreal forest. Beavers build and repair their dams and lodges making it challenging to paddle a canoe through the wilderness. Amazing ATV Ride on Remote Logging Road In Northern Canada
Unalive
Yes, died over the Winter and found in the Spring when the snow melted.
Nice to walk through your neck of the woods!
@HoneyandMe I've got to get over to the other side of my property that has beautiful rock formations. Have to do that this autumn once the leaves fall.
He knows blueberries are full of antioxidants!
@HoneyandMe After watching, I'm sure their full of bear saliva too, which I'll be sure to wash off before eating. 😅
@@NorthernRetreat LOL! Probably something good in bear drool!
@HoneyandMe Roundworms, as bears usually have trichinosis, which can make you really sick unfortunately.
Seems happy to be enjoying blueberries.
It does, thanks for watching.
Young bear happily feasting on blueberries 🫐 in the boreal forest.
Pretty.
Yep, thanks for watching.
Aren’t those pretty! They remind me of the California/Arizona poppies. A beautiful pop of colour❤️🇨🇦
@@HoneyandMe Yep, good year for mushrooms here.
I adore chipmunks! I have several that come to my deck for sunflower seeds and have become quite tame. A couple of years ago I had 3 young ones that were hairless!! They were black skinned, but you could see the stripe lightly on their backs. My cat managed to grab one while out on her leash and I rescued it right away. Up close I could see it really was hairless and not just a different colour. I didn't see any of them the next year, so I assume, sadly, they didn't make it through the winter, or maybe they finally grew hair. Either way, it was interesting to see. They were so cute!
They are cute in the wild unless they get into your engine bay and start chewing wires. Know a number of people that happened to and it disabled their vehicles.
A whole bunch of bunchberries! I've just realized they don't grow here where I live, but are profuse on Vancouver Island.
Usually where logging has happened. They're not good eating but are a good source of pectin when making jams.
Love lupines! In Texas, where everything is supposedly bigger, they call them Texas Blue Bonnets. And they are puny compared to our Canadian Lupines🇨🇦
@HoneyandMe They are large and plentiful in the Spring. They really seem to like the north country. They are poisonous if eaten by animals or pets.
All those green beauties!❤
He needs a good brush!
Wow! What a view! I loved how the creek caught the sun reflection.
Yes, time of day changes the mood of drone shots.
Shaggy looking fellow.

Absolutely amazing videos sharing dear friend ❤️ Really enjoyed watching it's truly beautiful ❤❤❤ Super big big like thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍 See you again take care, keep intouch ❤️❤❤
Thank you for watching.
So pretty and tranquil.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Now that's a crop of Bunchberries!
Certainly is, thanks for watching.
Beautiful❤ Makes me miss being up at the cabin.
When do you headback up? Looking forward to some aerial beaver ponds and lakes.
@@NorthernRetreat Probably in September. After the bugs😆 I’m excited to use the drone there!
Does anyone remember the tie into Monty Python and Lupines?😅
Nice man
Thanks.
They seem to be everywhere this year.
They do. Thanks for watching.👍
That’s so cool!!
Nature’s beauty!❤️
Looks like it has the mange and maybe a leg injury.
I would agree.
So relaxing❤
That's fun.
Impressive tree.
Love the flowing stream sound.
Certainly is.
Amazing how they burst forth.
Just 😍 stunning! I have just, (and I mean 15 minutes ago! ) crossed the border back into BC after 3 months RVing in the US…. And picked up a DJI Mini Pro 3 at a Costco in Montana!! Tax free👍Haven’t had a chance to try it out yet but am excited to!
Cool. I've had my Mini 3 out to over 2kms without signal break. Leaves on trees kill the signal so be careful. Remember line of sight, anything in between and I'll disconnect. High spots are best because the drone can see you better. Have fun. Did you get the RC version ( screen in controller)?
I wanted the new RC , but Costco only had the old version, but the savings were enough, I decided to just get it and if it’s something I use a ton and feel would be a good addition, I can upgrade later. Thanks for the tips!
Quite the fantastic landscape! A colourful scene in the fall I can imagine. Pretty awesome!!
Boreal forest is beautiful all year. Thanks for watching.
Spectacular.
Thank you.
🍄🟫🍄
Busy as a beaver!
Beavers. Enough that there is now a small wolf pack frequently visiting.
Peaceful sound.
Interesting Garter snakes.
Great... We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks Have a happy day!
Thanks for watching.
Beautiful! Even if you are lost😁
At one point, I thought I was, but once the evergreens showed up, I knew exactly where I was.
Awesome!!👏
Had cloud for the first half, but as soon as it was finishing, the clouds disappeared and was beautiful and sunny by the end. Did you get to see any of it where you were?
Very cool!
Thought so too. Thanks for watching.
Spring forth flowers on the way to Summer. 🎉
Certainly is.
Result of neglect...
Are those birch trees?
Poplars and not on my property. How's the South? Snowing pretty hard here.
@@NorthernRetreatLol! We managed to avoid the snow coming down, but have had more rain than we’ve had in all the years we’ve been coming down! Kind of different weather this year coming later than usual. And the desert is greener, which is nice to see❤
An Uncle of mine drove between San Francisco and LA and the desert was in full bloom, a rare event. He said it was one of the most beautiful things he'd ever seen. Enjoy your trip.
Sadly beautiful.
Yep. Thanks for watching.
Nice sunny day, looks like spring.
Love the shadows.
