You head back in August? Did you sort out your hard drive?

@@NorthernRetreat No set date for departure yet. My husband will probably head up in August, but I'll stick around home for another month or 2 after. I like spending time 'alone' and it's usually when I get to. The silly hard drive was not fixable by your average computer repair guy. He said it might be fixed by a high tech place with a special room that is all sterilized for these things. But would cost me a pretty penny. Like $1000s! So, until I win the lottery or discover buried treasure...I'll hang on to it and store it safely until I can do that.

Autumn is a nice time up there as it cools down. My favourite time of year at my cabin until the hunters show up and start shooting into my property.
Those HDs are a pain sometimes. I just had a Cellcam do the same thing with an SD card. Tried it on multiple devices; cameras, computers, you name it, and then I tried it with an adapter on a new laptop, and I could see the info. Couldn't retrieve the photos but could reformat it so now it's usable again. Try some different computer people, there probably is a cheaper way of retrieving some of it.
