My pos computer won’t run GitHub
Could you do a tutorial on how to properly configure the Steam Deck's controls on ITGMania? Also, a how to play with a controller (XInput) on the Deck when connected to a dock would be very nice.
Dom, awesome build man! Subscribed! I have a colab in mind with a pad build. What's your email?
Just a heads up, OpenITG has been out of active development for a few years now and has been superceded by NotITG.
Baila Tech is from my country, Argentina! cannot tell if they are good or not, i was just about to buy one from them. I'm definitely not a Stamina Player, as i have just started and don't really look forward to that kind of playing, but i just wanted to say this company has cheaper models, the one you mentioned is the one that looks the same as arcade's one, with the bar and lights. However, there are cheaper options without the bar and lights which cost around 230 usd!
Shoot I completely missed the stream 😭 Merry Whatever-You-Celebrate 💜
While it isn't a terrific option, soft pads CAN be modded and upgraded with foam/wood. It isn't incredible, but it's a solid midgrade if you want something better than a softpad, less good than an ltek and can't into making your own
The inward facing arrows...what the heck
This type of stuff is why I stay clear of internet communities a lot of the time. Now, gling drom playing drr on ps2 on a crt to ps2 with an lcd was enough to completely throw me off. But i feel like if you're playing on pc you're probably good these days. I dislike when hobbies become shopping checklists
I saw stamina play and it doesn't look fun or appealing to me but idk why people give a shiet what other people do with their property. Also I've been playing since 2007 and only ever heard people bitch about holding the bar online. Never in person.
I'm getting back into DDR / stepmania soon so I'll come back and say if I happen to get into stamina play.
For so many years or seems like nobody could just make decent pads. It was maddening. At least L-tek ones can be modified to work much better easily. (Though I have not tried, but for the price I think it's worth modifying a bit for the price )
Both pads I got in my teen and early adult years, seemed to be like. Fake high quality. Using thick sturdy materials but the sensors were just simple aluminum tape contacts or some.
Love the project farm format 😂
I love the clips of you playing. Reminds me of someone who really has to pee and is waiting for the bathroom 😂 (not meant as an insult 😅)
dx is elite wtf u on
Basically: if you don't have a 20=15 years old wooden PC you will run all of the software mentioned perfectly fine xD
Look, I really hate "ITG stamina" ( ive tried didnt like it) and I also think the purpose of DDR is to move more, but some people like it just live and let live
Bro Dom I actually love the videos. Good luck with future endeavours these are great videos man you really put loads of effort in and it feels your really passionate about this stuff ❤
Beyond impressive.
The world changed when this banger dropped
13:16 this is actually awesome, i was looking to buy a pad but being brazilian i would have to pay huge ammounts of money to buy one because i thought i would have to import one from america or something like that, not anymore, THANK YOU for making this video :)
10:44 That is very location dependent. I haven't had many bad experiences with the pump it up machine over where I live. It's properly maintained and I'm pretty sure the owners modded it for better sensitivity. The DDR machine at the other arcade near me is pretty shotty, the owner doesn't get much time to fix and maintain the machines. The Jubeat machine has been out of service for like 2 weeks. 😢

ORANGE LED: LEFT AND RIGHT (WHITE NOTE) / BROWN LED: DOWN AND UP (BLACK NOTE)
As a noobie, Idk how these people get so worked up over shuffling and using the bar, the first time i ever saw someone play like that my first thought was just "wow, its crazy how their keeping up with all that while able to move so little"
i overbuilt a vacuum table box out of 3/4 thick MDF for a CNC machine years ago is about 4 inches thick x 4x31/2 foot nearly the same as a DDR pad. well the ddr gets more use and the vacuum table is perfectly level, extremely strong and stiff, dumb heavy and I can staple my soft pads to it making them loads better. ive almost convinced myself that i dont need a metal pad setup. genuinely surprised with the performance increase. only bad pad is every step needs you to fully remove you foot and back down to register, no bouncing
One of my favorite songs to watch
Capital F..THAT
What a beast.

If ur crt monitor is arcing you desperately need to call a tech to look at it
Good luck finding a CRT technician willing to make a house call in 2024. Im sure they exist but have got to be super rare and only service very specific areas.
Ritchie Loop
is there any updated video of this I have 3 days looking for the way and I can't find it ? The paths shown in folders today do not exist
I bought a blue combo (im in the US) and took it with me on a 2 week trip recently, i play tech FA mainly but i quadded some tech 10s and 11s on that blue combo with very little modding and tweaking, it feels incredible
8:00 It's 417 now
just tried itg stamina for the first time pushing yourself is so much fun 10/10 would suffer again
"just use a keyboard lol" - 🗿
Do you have a new recommendation for a dance pad this year?
Why can't someone just find the engineers who made the original DDR/ITG pads and see if they are willing to make pads of that quality for the community market or reverse engineer the DDR or ITG Pads and find a way to get them produce with newer materials?
incredibly detailed, and informative. Thank you for this!
As a long time DDR/ITG player, I understand where everyone is coming from. It takes out the complexity of going for scoring and solely focuses on "can you survive the song". Which wasn't the original intended purpose, but things evolve. And wiggling to conserve stamina by sacrificing accuracy is an interesting observation. However, I do understand the concept.
Hey dom what bpm and mini do you play at man?
I am still waiting for my impulse updates haha
Go to the gym. Problem Solved. JK Good job. love this.
So fuckin jealous.
Well said thank you
16:28 song?

I genuinely think that the tx not only sounds better but the pads are also better (without mods) and i like the design better, also, 55" is way too much 50" doesnt sound like that much less but it's definitely noticeable and in my opinion it's perfect, in love with the tx
I just noticed there's no jumps
Do people do doubles on these ?
Stamina is just a certain way to play the game. That’s it. Some people play for FA (or MA, or if you’re old like me, PA). Some people play for freestyle and/or routines (and yes, those are different things). And some just play because it’s fun. But stamina wasn’t really much of a thing early on, specifically, DDR Extreme and prior (maybe Supernova, but by then, I wasn’t playing much so I’m not as familiar with it). Extreme and prior, there were no stamina charts than can compare to the madness you see today. I tried to break the endurance record on DDR in 2001, which at the time was a paltry 8 hours (and pre Extreme). I beat it, but my documentation wasn’t sufficient so Guiness wasn’t interested. Keep in mind this is pre-smart phone. Not everyone had the ability to easily live stream. But I digress. It was nothing to play the whole catalog of songs on a given version up to and including Extreme. Now bring ITG into the mix. That definitely raised the bar on stamina. And now, the top tier stamina charts require such ludicrously fast foot speed, that I wonder if it’s even plausible or possible to pass, FC, or FFC/FMC some of them WITHOUT minimizing foot movement. In fact, I doubt anyone could play 8+ hours nonstop of such stamina challenges. But like I started with: with the advent of crazy charts, stamina is just a new way to play. I close with this: there’s practically nothing danceish about how you play these stamina challenges. It’s not very much of the “D” in “DDR.”
