    I think it’s an absolute must (at least for me) to have a cordless vacuum.. but just wanted to let people know that cordless vacuum’s are really best for hardwood/ no carpet.. it’s a great quick clean up vacuum but it’s not really (in my opinion) great as a carpet vacuum on a regular basis.. these cordless vacuum’s really are not designed or powerful enough for regular pile carpet cleaning.. dirt and dust are deep down in your carpet and the suction isn’t really sufficient enough to get all that dust and dirt that is deep down in the carpet.. so keep that in mind. It’s awesome for quick cleanups. You will wear these cordless vacuums out so fast if you think you’re going be using it for a house full of carpet. Awesome for tile, hardwood, vinyl whatever.. a must if you have pets and pet hair. But don’t forget the roller needs to be cleaned on a regular basis.. along with the filters to keep it running properly for a long time. I’ve had a Hoover Linx cordless for over 12-15 years

    I just purchased a vacuum/mop robot (X40 Dreame Ultra)(arriving today), and the only reason I didn’t go with this one is the lack of vacuuming it can’t seem to do. The only issue is you need more floor space to have two completely different docks for two different functions. I think it’s better probably to get a single dock that can handle all the functions.

      @@Crusader1984 definitely something to keep in mind. 2 docks means the whole kit takes up more space. Ideally the lower-profile mopping dock can tuck under something out of the way.

    Most Expensive Excrement I Have Ever Purchased! I used to have the gold model from the late 1980s. It was fantastic! Sadly it was given away so I wasn't able to have it refurbished.😭 Based on that, I decided to get the new one about 2 years ago. I bought it locally and not online. I was able to speak with someone about it. He convinced me that I didn't need the extra large water tank like my old one had or any of the attachments the old one came with because the new one was more modernized. Since I had such great memories of the old Rainbow, I decided to go ahead and get the new one. WASTED MONEY! The new one is so subpar to the old one. Here's why you should steer clear of this machine: 1. There is no option for a larger water tank which my big house really needs based on occupancy. 2. The hose can not be reversed and cleared of clogs. 3. The only way to keep the beater bar going is to constantly pull a finger trigger which is VERY uncomfortable especially with arthritis. 4. The wheel assembly is built onto the bottom of the motor with only a hinge allowing for removal of the water tank. This means there is no way use a larger tank even if one is made available. 5. The opening of the water tank is so small that the sludge made from the dirt and water has a difficult time coming out. I have to use my hand to remove most of it. 😡 6. The suction is ok but still leaves particles in the carpet. The old one did not. 7. The weight isn't that bad unless you have stairs. 8. Can't speak too much about the durability because mine is only about 2. 9. The price was pretty steep; over $3+K. I also have an Electrolux that is also too small and does a similar job but only cost $200 about 6 years ago. The only good thing about this vacuum is that IF you have any bugs ( fleas, spiders, roaches, etc.) they will drown in the water. Not a great selling feature.

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1 13 дней назад

      I like both, but the Switchbot is a better performing mop. The Dreame has a more polished app, longer battery life, and slightly better nav, but they’re similar otherwise. If the plumbing feature isn’t important, the Dreame will be a little easier to set up and get going, as there’s extra steps to set up the Switchbot’s tanks (has hoses to connect and whatnot, not a huge deal but a little more setup). Hope this helps!

    • @CameraPunch1
      @CameraPunch1 13 дней назад

      Thank you for your reply. I’m going to get the switchbot then. I don’t mind the more complicated set up I was just worried about its suction power compared to the dreame, but if it’s as good as the dreame and it is a has better mop, then it’s a no brainer

Is there an inlet somewhere in the side of the tub that allows water to fill the tub from the side? I can't pull the dishwasher out without unsoldering the drain, so I am trying to find out what I need to possibly repair the leak, connectors and what not, before I tear it out. Glad I came across this!! I have a similar dryer (different brand but almost exact same thing). I've had it for about 5 years and love it, but more and more often recently, the damn lint filter kept falling off during a cycle. Every 5 minutes or so until I got it secured in a sweet spot and it stayed on. It's been super annoying. However!! Your video brought to light the fact that I've had the filter installed wrong this entire time!! I swear when I got the dryer, the fabric (disposable / replaceable) filter was *inside* the two plastic pieces. The one I yours is exactly the same as the one in mine. Mine doesn't snap together the way yours does, but I'm wondering if it's supposed to. I just got out the manual for the dryer and sure enough, it seems to depict the order of installation the way you showed and not the way I've had it. The diagram is kinda unclear but looking at it the way you have it vs. how I had it your way makes more sense. I just popped it out (and vacuumed the filter - brilliant BTW, also hadn't even thought of that!), reinstalled it the *right* way and the next time I dry a load I'm hoping it'll not fall off again. Thanks so much for this!!

    Hello, do you know of any way to clean the clear plastic top cover of the main roller head on this? Mine really needs to be washed or at least be able to get to it to clean it. The gray thing that goes into the roller head is in the way.

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1 21 день назад

      Yeah the clear plastic is not easy to clean, because the motor for the brushroll is housed inside that area. I find the easiest way is to gently push a wash clothe through, around the motor, but it's tricky. You have to be careful doing so, because you can damage the motor if you force it out of place trying to get around it. You can also take the entire head apart to remove the motor, but that's also an endeavor. It's just cosmetic, so at the very least just make sure the clear parts are clean of extra debris. The plastic being dirty-looking won't make a performance difference if the air path inside the head is clear.

      Eufy’s claim is it’s the first with a self-washing mopping roller, as well as an included auto wash all-in-one base station. I think this type of mopping robot will become the standard soon, as they clean hard floors much better.

      @@VacTech1 I agree, the self-cleaning roller is the way to go! I do like Switchbot's separate water station that you never have to deal with - setup and forget it.

      The claims by Eufy are odd considering kickstarter backers have had their Switchbot S10s since march...I wonder how much co development or straight up licensing Switchbot did.

      @@fuzziestlumpkin I don’t think they’re related at all tbh. Pretty different robots outside of similar features.

      @@VacTech1 You're probably right. It just strikes me as a little strange that apparently nobody has done this self-cleaning roller mop design before, and then we get two at about the same time both claiming to have invented the technology lol.

      Agitation could be better, which is my forever complaint with robots haha. The mopping is indeed where it excels, but it’s keeping my carpeting clean too. It helps that it’s methodical and thorough.

    Right out of the box, our Dyson Gen5Absolute had a significant rattle coming from the carpet cleaning head. Customer service conceded that the part is out of stock with no date for when it will be available (this is a HUGE problem with Dyson), so the unit had to be replaced. Dyson offered to ship us an exchange as soon as UPS received the defective unit. We recorded this conversation. Nevertheless, the next day, after we delivered the defective unit to UPS, customer service informed us that this was untrue. Dyson would not do an immediate exchange, but would ship a new unit only after it received and processed the unit, which would take up to 3 weeks (while Dyson sat on our money and the warranty triggered by our initial purchase continued to run.) In short, Dyson lied. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was assured that supervisor would call me back. No call. Dyson lied again. Even before we bought the unit, we got a bad taste of Dyson’s honesty. Customer service assured us that Dyson would price-match QVC’s sale price. This, too, proved to be untrue. Yet another lie. The vacuum may be great, but beware of Dyson. False assurances and unavailable replacement parts are a REAL problem.

    I have the exact one but my mixing bowls got smashes. Are they still making replacement parts?

      Parts are long discontinued, but you can probably find replacement bowls for it on eBay. I see them at thrift stores occasionally as well.
