Walmart never looks at the name on pickup orders . As long as you can give them the driver code that's all they care about. Only on shopping orders they verify the name with your ID.

I have thought about it, and I think, it might be happening after they make a major update on their AI face recognition software. As ANY AI, it must be re-trained/given time to adapt - literally - to any new parameters it was given, and, as any "child", it makes false identifications, to the left and to the right, until those who are in charge of maintaining it get all its, well... screws properly tightened, so to speak. And, during THAT period - first implementation of an update - until it is straightened out, is when this whole mess happens. That is why when people call driver support during these occurrences - they tell them that they were deactivated by an automated computer. So, it IS, kind of, true that it is not ENTIRELY Spark's fault, but those who make a half-baked update to one of the most crucial systems, with intent to twick-it-as-you-go, later. What they do NOT realize is the impact it has on the lives of THOUSANDS of innocent people, whose ENTIRE LIVELIHOOD depends on it, sometimes. Microsoft used to do it, a while ago - they just started throwing updates out there, without properly testing them, and it started taking living shit out of people's computers, (several years ago), until somebody complained, and those in charge of testing went in and kicked some asses around, and then, it had improved. With this whole AI-thing, the age of which we are entering, one has to be EXTREMELY careful before he releases ANYTHING out into the wild, for it affects COUNTLESS innocent people's lives, if those in charge screw up. Now, the next question is an ethical one. Do they care? I'd like to think that, at least, most of them do. However, we all know that just a few scabbed sheep spoil the entire flock. ... Just saying...

Have been having pretty solid weeks I did break 1200 last week… Hoping to do it again this week. I’m a single mom so I only work during the day… Every now and again I work Fridays and Saturdays when the kiddos are gone. Shopping this week has been very very profitable of course because of Thanksgiving.

I'm in Colorado Springs. We have the same crap here too. Haven't see the shared rides but they do have a way of getting all the orders. I'll be sitting in the parking lot waiting to get decent orders, but and I get nothing. These guys are nonstop action... don't speak a lick of English. They hold up the phone for the Walmart employees to read. Most of the drive with expired tags. In the last year my Spark income has gone down over 50%. Same with UberEats, GH and Doordash.

Spark drivers are a complete joke, with many clearly using fake accounts just to get jobs, and Walmart couldn’t care less. All they care about is getting the package delivered, no matter how bad the service is or how shady the drivers are. There’s no accountability, no support when things go wrong, and it’s obvious Walmart has no intention of fixing anything. The whole system is a disaster-untrustworthy drivers, messed-up orders, and the company just ignores it all as long as the delivery happens. Walmart doesn’t care about the customer experience, only about getting things dropped off. The CEO should be ashamed of how their company operates. If you work for a worthless, corrupt company like Walmart, it’s no wonder you're treated like garbage and betrayed by the system. Why would anyone want to work for a company that clearly has no respect for its employees or customers?

Started out here in SC. The shoppers never leave the store. They trade phones with the drivers and keep all the orders hogged all day. Tired of this crap.

What happened to me and some other drivers I have ran across is the drivers that are reporting the fraudulent issues are the ONLY ONES BEING PUNISHED AND DEACTIVATED! They will continue to get away with whatever they want and they have the WORST app of all gig/drivers apps

I had my face scan fail for the first time on spark yesterday. It put me on pause, so I did a uber eats and it was back on after about 15 mins. I was worried for a bit though.
