Door dash base pay is Trash! . This is how it should be in my opion . Doordash should be required to pay $10 base pay. And the restaurant should have to give driver's a minimum fee of $5 . We shouldn't have to depend on customers to bail us out every time . DoorDash wouldn't be in business if it wasn't for us dashers .
So food should be even more expensive? Restaurants already pay 10% to DoorDash. That’s why menu prices are higher on DD. All restaurants would do in that case is pass the cost to the customers.
Well my advice until DoorDash fixes the alcohol problem… Turn off alcohol deliveries 10 minutes before 2 AM and then you won’t receive them anymore. I always have mine toggle off I don’t mess with alcohol.
@jerrodg938 it also depends on the time you start, and day of the week. One day you're killing it making bank, and on other days you're just stroking it,and waiting minutes or hours for a decent order to show up on your screen.
@@jerrodg938 I've done DoorDash and UberEats and GrubHub in Orlando, Tampa and South Florida. I've never seen those kind of offers consistently, especially not with DoorDash.
This is such a great video, it really shows why Gig Drivers can not keep higher ratings on their stats. How unfair is it to blame the driver for so many issues that are clearly the fault of the gig companies or businesses. Aaron was off DD for a few years and in that time the issue with McDonalds still has not been fixed. This is why all drivers have a black list which is restaurant or business they cannot go to or it will cost them in time and money and even possibly a deactivation... It is completely unfair and even possibly against state law to penalize an Independent contractor for bids or services they do not want to except... You can also see how bad things have gotten over the last few years, under Bidenomics.
Yeah the being able to check the items beforehand is new...thank goodness they finally added it. Who needs that much soda in the middle of the night? Yay for being unbanned from jack in the crack! Lol Everyone should forward this video to DoorTrash to show they are sending out offers after cut-off. Absolutely insane.
When ever you have a problem with them saying the restaurant I close always call the customer service then they will call. And confirm the store is closed so they will marl if the store is closed. This will protect you in the future. That's what I do. They will pay you for driving to a closed restaurant. Every restaurant don't put if the store is closed. That's when you call a representative
This is what I do. I chat with support and screenshot the conversation. They always tell me to mark it closed in the app and I tell them no for them to do it. So they call the restaurant, which is closed. I get my half pay and leave.
You can toggle off Alcohol orders in the preferences menu. Might me worth toggling it off at 2 am and toggle it back on a 8 am or so. So you don't get as many orders that you can't legally fill
Part of the issue your talking about with the shop/pays is that a lot of times the customer put their order in like what happened to me hrs before and no one wants to do them. A couple of months ago had a shoprite shop/pay near their closing time. Do it and when I get there said hey mam I was almost not able to do it could you please try and order earlier. She told me that she placed the order a couple of hrs earlier and was saying she didn’t think anyone would do it. So it’s not DD doing anything wrong by saying they are allowing people to do the ordering it’s that no one wants to do the shop/pay ones. So the order becomes a round robin till someone takes it. Trust me I had some time ago a cheap arse lady who wanted some tequila I believe and the order wasn’t paying but man I got it let’s say at 8:30 and about an hr later got the same thing AGAIN. So it’s partly also the customer who forgets to maybe pay me to do it. I’m not a charity case driver.
@TheGigsUp2025 kinda but people need to remember gas usually is higher during summer and drops when school go back until Thanksgiving. all has to do with supply and demand
our regular gas is down to 2.81, you guys must have some really high gas taxes? i think this video should be titled 'illegal alcohol orders from door dash', they need to get some heat for that and fix their shitty app!
I just got deactivated for dashing late at night and reporting places closed. They claim it is fraudulent even though they refuse to call the business. They would rather save a few dollars on paying some customer service reps instead of providing a system that doesn't punish the driver
I would’ve accepted all those Walgreens alcohol orders and contacted the customer about the 2am cut off and let them cancel and gotten my half pay. Every time. Would’ve made money just sitting there
you prolly know this , but that one double order that was $17.00 , and included the bad mcdonalds, you could have accepted and then gave back just the mcdonalds order. I do this a couple times a week, and can still keep my acceptance rate above 95 percent.
I still say you should test out earn by time. You might end up driving more miles but it keeps you busy + I've been avg $20/hr doing it pretty consistently in my area VS. declining bad orders for over an hour before I get an okay one. Lot less stressful and you can take it slow. I like to put address in my gps and do the math to see how much base I'll get before I deliver. $15.75 here so base pay is almost always at least $1/mi, but even if it isn't I can wait an extra 3-5 mins at restaurant and then it is 😉
