@@HoddysGuides Yes after I could download it from your site. The thing is I could debrick my router. I did all the process fine but the router just keeps blinking the two leds and nothing happens. I tried with the Chinese and international firmwares, only the Chinese seems to work the other one just stays a purple led on

@@beckman925 it should only work with the same version as was previously on the router, some people have said they have been able to put chinese firmware in the english versions but then seem to be unable to return it back to english.

@@HoddysGuides yeah I tried three different versions of Chinese firmware but not of them worked. I give up because I don’t know what else to do

@@DD-ow4or doing what? Most of the guide is done in linux, for the debrick part it can be done by setting up a tftp sever and then just using the test.bin file from my tools

@@jaydenstowe7588 yeah by default openwrt runs with the wifi off you have to go in and turn it on. If you follow this video it will show you how

Yeah i would say so, all you need do is connect the cables directly to the speakers and you have a balanced setup

@JuanSanchez-rb4qu as far as I know any device with Openwrt version 19.07 or later can be used in a mesh (with other openwrt routers) more info here: openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wifi/mesh/80211s

@mertkilic1 sounds like the debrick didn't work tray again and be sure to have the correct firmware for your device (the language matters)

@@HoddysGuides i tried and tried and tried again result is same. To the 24:06 everything goes same with you and then nothing changes the blue flashing lights never ends and my PC can't identify the ethernet so i cant get any internet via ethernet (WAN is also connected to the modem). I'm stuck at that step...😞

By the way I'm %100 sure about using right Debricker tool for my router. It's Mi 4A (R4AC - International Version)

I think you could look into vlans but really if your setting it up as an extender then you it can be very difficult, might even be easier to use your router to block the ip address manually outside of it.

Its likely you used the wrong firmware or it failed during the install. Follow the debrick guide at end of video then try again

@@HoddysGuides i usually connect my laptop through xiaomi wifi router i didn't install or update anything, we encounter some network problems so my wife decided to unplug the rj45 connected to the router then plug it again that's where the blinking of orange light starts then found out the 1 meter rj45 wire was the problem. my set up is the xiaomi wifi router is connected to the 1 metered rj45 then a coupling where the long wire connects to the main internet. i hope you understand my english hehe. can i do that debrick method because right now i can't connect to my xiaomi 4a router. my laptop and phone can't detect it in wifi list. thanks for the response.

@GemboyTV well basiclly flashing orange light is generally showing that your router is "bricked" its likely that it was trying to autoupdate itself when whatever happened in your last comment happened and thus damaged its firmware. Following the debrick method at the end of this video will likely fix it. Other than that if its still under warranty you could send it back.

Odd, i would double check you got the correct firmware for your device. After that hit the openwrt forums to see if anyone else has had similar issues

Thanks for the feedback, i will try to be more thorough in future, for now, i think most if not all the specs you have requested can be found on the ifi website: ifi-audio.com/products/go-bar/ If not i dont have access to the device anymore for further testing but ifi's support is very good for technical questions in my experience.

@@HoddysGuides this is true, but I am here listening to you talk about it, so I want the specs from you, at the time I am looking at it, if this makes sense to you, without that info I don't even know if I am interested. The distortion graph was good, we want that sort if thing, it makes more sense in terms of knowing what the amp is, as an example

Im not sure, you can check the openwrtinvasion github to see if its listed as one that can work, if not check the openwrt website and look for your device, it may have information on install there

It may work without it, but yes it will sound better with it. It will be a phantom psu, i would say, and it energises the mic, making it better at picking up sound

Its generally what most people want to achieve is functional router and wifi yes, i would define that as a basic setup withiut creating a 5hr video on every single possible config.

Sometimes takes a bit of time to settle but i would also check you have the right amou amountof mounting pressure and tighten the screws evenly to ensure it spreads evenly

@@HoddysGuideshi, i also delidded my cpu but with only about 3degrees difference.. it’s not a direct die but just a normal liquid metal application on the die and inside of the ihs. I tried a much thinner layer liquid metal but that also didn’t change a thing. Silicone and everything is 100% gone so the ihs should be directly in contact with the die i think. What could be the issue? I hear people saying i should get at least 10 to 15 degrees less

@Jordy6600 if your going direct die then make sure you have the correct mounting hardware to account for the differnce in hight of the die compared to where the ihs would be, if you still dont see any difference the cooling bottleneck maybe elswhere like your cooler or air flow?

Sounds like you have a firewall issue blocking your router's access to the internet, try (temporarily) disabling the firewall, if you can then download packages you know the firewall is misconfigured.

Yeah i think so, i couldn't find any info on how to test them and so i sort of set out to develop my own, i belive its frequency response. I do know its repeatable and provides results that are expected when compared with the human ear and general capability of devices. That said ive always been looking for different ways to test and the fact that i cant fully explane my testing methods doesnt fill me with confidence, though i know it does work

Follow the debrick method at end of video, next time ensure you use correct firmware for your device.

If you dont see in the log: Do.read.file test.bin Then its likely the tool got blocked by something like your firewall or antivirus

@@HoddysGuides not exacly, I managed it somehow. Now I have trouble with cyberduck, it's kust don't allow to connect. My router is 4AC, I've tried a lot of firmwares including recommended, but I just can't conenct via ssh and ftp. It says maybe firmware is wrong. Also openwrt instructions says "Check the firmware layout with cat /proc/mtd and only proceed if mtd6: 00200000 00010000 “overlay”" but mine is "00010000 00010000" for some reason. Upd: I finally solvedit. The prolems was my router is v2. So your approach is not completely fits. Actually, I've found some scripts on 4pda which allows to install it automatically, works like a charm. Hovewer, your video part about unbricking was extremely helpful.

@@HoddysGuides Thanks for the reply . I tried all the possible ways including Hardware off boarding, software off boarding to solve this issue but to no avail. I read in some openwrt forum that hardware of my Router (Archer C6) isn't capable enough for openwrt for high speed internet (Though the upload speed was good). It was very strange for me as I was getting full speed on my official firmware. But in openwrt it's the complete opposite. So as a layman I concluded that Openwrt isn't compatible for my Router. Then I revert back to my old Buggy official firmware. Now I am getting the full speed with occasionally drop in 2.4 GHz. But still it's better than the openwrt.

Ah, for that you need to switch on a setting in your bios to allow vms or your pc, if you google you motherboard model and enable virtualisaton you should find some info on how to turn that on

When using the tool does the log box show a line like: "do.read.file test.bin" ?
