Take the bagger off & use it like a regular push mower let it come out the side of it

The siren you showed in the video is a Federal "Type Mach. B", manufactured by a company called "Federal Sign Systems", or Federal Electric Company (now known as Federal Signal). It is a slightly older design than the M, the style you documented being made between 1917 and 1922. These have really tiny fans with tiny vanes and have a rather pathetic sound output, and they didn't make an insane amount of sales in their day. Or if they did, they all got swapped out pretty early, making it a fairly rare find nowadays. That one is missing the impeller though, rendering it completely inoperable.

anytime something is being mass produced, and especially now that production comes mostly from China and Mexico, every once in a while you're going to get one that's defective. that's just a fact of life. I've found that Craftsman customer service is very responsive to customer complaints. Have you called or emailed Craftsman customer service? You made a great video. You should send it to them.

I don’t have this exact craftsman (M105) but you don’t have to use the bagger all of the time and you can also raise up the deck with the adjusters on the two right tires. I’m pretty sure you can either do the side shoot or the mulching mode

Had to learn hard way one use and won’t start

I have the troy bilt version of this mower. They're both made by MTD. However, one thing I've noticed before buying mine is anything lower than a Cub Cadet or Troy Bilt in the MTD lineup is made poorly. Also, the spewing of grass always happened with mine if the mower was close to stalling out. What solved the problem for me was changing to a better plug. Get a Denso IK16 Iridium Power spark plug. It has the correct heat range to replace the Champion RC12YC. Then carefully gap it to the briggs spec of 0.020" for the 140cc engine. It sounds crazy that a plug can make all the difference but it does. Fine wire plugs are easier to fire than a regular plug. And, there's a few other tweaks Denso made to their Iridium Power design. Anyway, my mower hasn't bogged down to die since. I couldn't believe it and this was with a dull blade.

Thank You for understanding how masses of transitioners have made the reputation of these He washers dubious. So many newer end-users mistakenly believe that all agitator washers are "meant to fill to the lid" with water. Nope, they are all manufactured in alignment with current DOE/EPA guidelines. So, if a top load washer is not labeled "commercial" á la Speed Queen, or SELECT GE, Maytag, and Whirlpool versions, then expect your washer to use far less water and need far more time with far better quality He detergent than before 2006.

All you have to do is hold the water level button to precise fill

I have the same washer it works perfectly. I Always make sure the clothes are even on all around to avoid that heavy shaking

I believe deep Fill and Max fill are same thing, the washer is full of water.

I think this machine do a good job cleaning my clothes in comparison to whirlpool and other machines. For sure I will never buy Whirlpool!!!!

It was a government mandate to make these washers use less water so that bacteria will build up on your cloths and sicken people so they die sooner so the government will save on social security payments. This is true , I read it in the Bible.

I have the current Maytag commercial washer and I know what you mean about the water level. The water level dial markings do not correspond to what you traditionally know of as high medium and low . On the Maytag it is: Deep water=High water level High=fills to what would be traditionally a medium water level. Medium= Fills to a low water level. Low= Fills to an extra low level. The Normal-Eco will override whatever level you pick, so what's the point ? I have never seen the normal-eco so far in the one month I've had the machine do a deep fill. At least all the other cycles will fill to wherever you set it.

I have this very same model and it falls out of balance easy ! I’ll never buy a GE washer again ! I’ll wait out the 2 year life span that most experts give this … and buy a high quality Speed Queen !

Do you think cuting out a gap from the bottom of the strike so that it could be secured to the lid but always able to allow the lid to be opened. This way the spin would also stop just like the older machines when the lid is opened. I have no idea how the latch lock communicates with the computer control, but maybe just creating a gap wide enough to create enough of a void to clear the locking pin might be a solution to this aggravating issue.

That GE lamp in the preheat shop light is not from the 90s its post sept. 2003 as lamps after that time had to have the HG symbol. the Philips lamp in that fixture is pre 2005 as it has the shield logo on the etch after that it was no longer put on.

Absolutely boggles my mind that LG can make a direct drive, inverter controlled variable speed washer for currently $30 *less* than this GE, and about the same price as a bargain basement Whirlpoop VMW... Why can't American companies figure out anything that isn't 1930's motor technology? Lmao

The indoor (cold) coil is the evaporator because the refrigerant absorbs heat and goes from liquid to gas.

I have 2010-2012 versions of Whirlpool style units (washer is a Roper, dryer is a Whirlpool) mine are in good shape with suspension rod repair done on the washer recently. If you are doing family level laundry maybe 10 years is a good run. I only do 3-4 loads per week so I'll get a long life out of mine I think
