Simplest Silage tank solution with deck pump out
Просмотров 59Год назад
A very simple and clean solution with only two valves. This is a Diablo 80l tank which saves a lot of mucking about making your own sealed fittings on a home made tank. For this suck out to deck addition one more "tee" was required and joined into the hose between the tank outlet and the pump. After the tee is a new ball valve to isolate the system when not pumping out.

weak music
Stop deleting your old videos love to watch over and over
Oh ...I thought no one liked that one because of the music...
@robertberndes7878 love the invention and motor flying you people do to promote hanggliding
You haven't provided any data on how much thrust the motors are able to generate. That kinda tells me everything I need to know about this gimmick.
Read the description below the videos
Forget the baby’s … give me how to acquire the product. I’ve been flying the outer Cape Cod Massachusetts USA for years and I’ve always wanted to fly the Winter seasons where beach goers are in front of fire places with vacated cliffs and vacant beeches. We need boosters to launch from a straight in wind high enough to get going. What are you waiting for? This has a world wide selling market! Cut the crap and sell it ! What else do you need for support.
Lots of liability/insurance issues.....Perhaps we need some advice from a hang glider manufacturer.
creepy weirdo. unsubbbed.
this is called a video mish mash
Fab! Will you be selling these? Or sharing the specifications? Cheers
See the Description under below the video (new)
hi Rob. You said in earlier comments that you were planning on making a run of the carbon fibre bracketing to sell, did you/are you still doing that. Your system looks brilliant, so much simpler than the mosquito etc...
Mounting without operation is pointless.
When watching a youtube video, you can click on the channel logo and you will see all the other videos posted by that person.
With such a high thrust line attached to the glider, the risk of tumbling seems very high to me. Unless proven differently,, I will stick to my mosquito harness.
Have a look at the description under Electric motors on Hang-gliders - Mounting a Berndes King post motor for an explanation of how it balances and much more info
@@robertberndes7878 I cannot see any description on this page beside the music source. Google returns nothing. Where should I look?
Would love to see a paddock take off on a calm day please 🙏🏻
We are not quite there yet - with the power - for a take off from flat ground but very close. However we still need some wind 'cause we cant run that fast :) We can certainly doddle along in ground effect as you can see in "a love story".
Please more videos and details of the ehelp
Will try. Have a look at the description under "Electric motors on Hang-gliders - Mounting a Berndes King post motor".
@robertberndes7878 hi Robert do you have more videos of the twin motor downtube mount setup old design I like the previous videos very much could you please post it also.( Wasp wiing style year 2010 )
Interesting.. Is bracket robust enough to take twisting torque with one motor out? also needs testing on one motor? What if any/all of it falls into the wing? I'd rather have all thrust in the centre.
Yes, ideally but how do you get more power cheaply? Also the props avoid the wires by a large margin this way.
You are a true inventor! Can you please share details on the motor specifications?
See the Description under below the video (new)
@@robertberndes7878 Thank you so much for sharing these details. I am a Paragliding Pilot and I understand how much it means to take off from the ground and stay in the air. Do you think anything like this is possible for paragliding without the bulky setup like Paramotor? 👍
Hi Robert I love the twin motor set up at the downtubes ( wasp design) could you upload more videos of it.
Sorry, that was all the video we had of it and it has all been dismantled now.
Wow you are back more videos please
Ok ok ok. Could not stand the fem-bot. Had to turn it off.
Love what you’re doing. I’ve seen the early gas king post mounted versions in action in the middle 70’s. Two of my HG friends where experimenting in New Hampshire- USA and two separate occasions managed to forward tumble during a full power stall. Both survived luckily by large bushes below. Granted today’s wings are far more stable then those early wings Still we have not heard what your units are putting out for thrust. Can you maintain or climb in still air conditions??? My old Mosquito was putt out just over 100 lbs thrust and I tried a friend’s direct drive electric motor installed on a harness and putting out about 60 lbs for a slow climb.
great a turbine to charge your cell phone when its soarable..
What climb can you achieve with this motor?
Yes, we need more specs!
Hard to say since it is just a helper motor to increase our flying envelope but when it has been barley flyable (light winds) we have gotten to 100ft instead of just scraping our wings along the ridge.
There is a very good reason that the successful motor modifications for HG are attached to the pilot. It's to do with pitch stability in turbulence. When under power, you get big pitch down moments when the pilot goes light on the hang strap. There have been a few attempts at airframe attached motors. Most have either killed or nearly killed their inventors.
Completely disagree. You can successfully mount motors to a glider. However, this design will have issues if you try to flat-land launch it with no ridge lift. The thrust line is too high compared to the center of mass, however, with the low power motors and some ridge lift I don't see an issue with the design just limited in application and wouldn't increase motor size much. My preference is an ehelp for low performance gliders and a twin keel mount for high performance (still testing but getting good results and 400fpm up). Also if you're referring to the Soar Master I read one of the best accident reports out of the UK on the unit and have spoken with multiple pilots who actually flew them including Mark Stucky. My takeaway is people didn't understand the operating limitations, didn't have proper training, and were flying them on very dated equipment by today's standards.
@@cwallen32 Yep, agree Cas. "However, this design will have issues if you try to flat-land launch it with no ridge lift." That was my first thought on seeing the launch from the beach. Lot's of laminar flow there to help out. Looked like he could have gone gooning without any help. LOVE the idea and the adventure! "...people didn't understand the operating limitations,..." This is your golden nugget IMHO. Thanks.
@@jamesgaar5383 Yup but a good solution to get established in lighter beach style ridge lift, so a cool design for the intended application.
We only fly them on the beach with cool, predictable laminar wind.
Nice one Rob.
lose the creepy AI pervert stuff.
its powerful clickbait.
What is the big deal? When you can launch from a flat field, like a paramotor, then you will impress the community. Everything I've seen in this video can be done WITHOUT the motors.
Mate on that hill in that wind, he would not be able to stay up without those motors.
@@jimwolfe2862 We would need to see a motor assisted and unassisted flight comparison.
It was a barley sustainable day and off to the south.
Looks promising! how long can you fly with it and how fast is the climb in stable air?
Full speed time is limited to 5 - 10 min but we fly for hours with it just ticking over, powering on just for turns in light winds or to jump gaps. Rob flew a massive coastal run that had only ever been done in a high performance glider with very experienced pilot - in the past.
@@robertberndes7878 Thanks for the answer. keep up the good work 👍
Good job Robby, well done mate, i am keen to buy a set when your ready to sell a commercial version.
How much thrust are those two motors putting out please? Thanks!
21kg thrust (46lb)
That is fantastic thanks!
Your Kingpost-Motor is a great idea. Do you think, you will sell it in future, or is it just a personal project? I'm very interested.
Thank you! They are just a private project for the foreseeable future.
Please these videos without the half-naked girls, has nothing to do with flying!!!
Sorry - you ruined it with music. Any updates, though?
YUP! 1970 baby! My feet first left the ground in the summer of love, 1969.☮ 55 years later, after a marriage, house, kid, dead kid, divorce, and I am still flying! I love every minute of airtime I can get! I have Aviation Induced Divorce Syndrome... AIDS for short.😂 A suggestion. Mount two ducted fan motors. one on each down tube. This will lower your thrust line. They are pricey. About 300. bucks apiece+ batteries etc, but each fan has an output of 8.6kg that will give you a total of 17.2kg/37.9 lbs. of thrust.
Dang - you beat me! I did my first course in the UK in 1973 but kept moving to jobs abroad - trying intermittently to fly. Always had a thing about HGing though...
So nice! What motor are you using? Is it a 63100 on 12s battery?
Why oh why the “music”?
Only watchable, (especially in the beginning), with the sound turned off.
WHOAW absolument superbe vidéo J'ADOOOOORE ❤👌🛩
I've been looking for a while for an old old HG video. Title was something like "walking the dog". It was a short vid, somewhere in Australia (I think) on the beach between beach houses, very blustery day, short dune/sea breeze hops, dog barking and chasing along after the glider. Set to music Angus and Julia Stone "Bella" I just love the vibes of this video. would love to find it again....
Wery cool ❤👍
great to see, where is this beach can I ask, cheers from Ohio
That video was all over the country but the spectacular beach I think you mean with the rounded hills is near Tunkalilla South Australia.
Any progress with mount system?

Where can I read more about this motor/kit? I flew an Explorer many years. Thank you.
