Hi Swetha. Long time no see ! Good to see you again ! I guess the algorithm kinda made me lose track of you for a while (I didn't see your vids for a few months in my recommended, so I was curious and came by your channel to see what's up. Turns out I missed quite a few of your vids. I have some catch up to do, but since this one is the most recent, let me just comment here first. Just expect some of my comments to pop up on your previous vids in the few cpming days). First off : Hey ! Happy birthday ! Sure, it was already a week ago, by today, but hey ! Never late than better ^^ ! Secondly : Sorry to hear that you feel lost and feel like you haven't done anything. But don't worry. Its actually very normal. You're a post-teen, now, just got out of your teenage years, and on the verge of jumping from one decade to another. And me, a 44 year old dude is here to tell you : At some point in your life, you'll remember your twenties as probably your best decade of your life, when you were at your peak, both physically and mentally, had some of the best friends and/or love relationships, some of the most innocent and intense ones, and would do anything to get back to it ! But for now, I can imagine it feels like you're leaping from your comfy teenage pond to a seemingly infinite ocean of your 20ies, and it can feel scary. But that's the thing, it's also what makes life exhilarating. You'll meet lot of super interesting people with lots of common interests, some might become friends for life, some not, but hey, that's just life, not everything is made for lasting forever, so might as well give it a chance to shine when they happen. Also, if the teenage years were kinda comfy, being on fairly solid tracks built for you by your parents, diving in adulthood in your twenties is gonna be your first time taking the reins of your own life, making your own decisions, your own choices without having to rely on your parents, that will all have their own set of consequences for you down the line in life, so yes, it can seem daunting, you can fear the choice since they can have bad repercussions in the future... but again, that's life. As the late chef Anthony Bourdain used to say about travelling all over the world for finding out about street food all over the world : "if you're not willing to risk getting a bad meal, you'll never find the fantastic one" Also, I disagree that ou haven't accomplished anything. You've launched this youtube channel, where you've been dropping wisdom bomb after bomb, and even if it's not taking off right now, who knows if it won't just blow out in a few years (in typical youtube algorithm fashion) ? And at the very least, I'm sure you've also attracted some very interesting people as a result. 3rdly : as an introvert myself, I feel you when you say you're feeling drained by being around people 24h/7, and don't feel anything anymore. Yes, this does seem like a burnout to me (I've been though a bad one that lasted years, and stil reeling from it, although it's now kinda fluctuating rather than permanent, liek it used to be, so ... good news, I guess). And I don't think it's weird to experience a burnout so soon. I mean, you just left your previous home, started college, being thrown in an unknown new environment, both geographically and socially, and are expected to learn everything right from the get go without a single scratch ? Ain't no way you can take it all in all at once. That numbness you feel is nervous overload. there's too much happening all at once, your nervous system just shuts down as a defence mechanism (hence the lack of taste in food, or "life isn't lifing" ! Btw, great quote and I'm totally stealing it ^^). Reminds me of when I left my safe and calm Belgium to come live in chaotic, stinky and noisy Taiwan, with 10 times the amount of people in the streets than in my good old Brussels. Took me 2 years to finally get used to it and finally call it my new home. So yeah, I get you. I'm also an introvert, but with years of practice (kinda forced on me coz I had to change mid school and high school basically every year, so I had to adapt to a new crowd every year, with various stages of success), it did eventuallly made me into quite a social butterfly. One good trick I can recommend would be to find your tribe. Try and find people with common interest or mood, or on the same wavelength with you, either online or irl, and crystallize your time with them. That way, hanging out with people who nurture you and keep you pumped insteadof draining you, even if you're still an introvert, I can tell you you'll feel much more at ease spending time with them than in the vapid "who's the most popular" group hamster mill. Sure, it will probably take time to find them, after all, you yourself are quite a hidden gem with a solid head on your shoulders, so it would make sense they're also pretty rare. So that means more going out and expose yourelf to more people who might not vibe with you, so yeah, growing pains. But I'm sure that with time, ultimately, you can find them. And it will all be worth it. Also,spoiler alrt : sometimes, you can find some people who are everything you were looking for... and for whatever reason, they still won't be part of your life forever. There's nothing worng with it, that would only mean that we all change over time, and fi some people might be the right fit at a given time in life, that doesn't mean it will always be the case. So whenever this happens, instead of clinging to them, let them go gracefully. Same goes for you too, of course. If you feel like you've outgrown a relationship or friendship, tell the other person (or not) and prepare yourself to leave them, either immediately, or more naturally, over time. If you want to find some great people I feel like could vibe with you on youtube, I can already recommend you the channels of Leahsfieldnotes, Chloe Shih, Joz draws in Prada, and Meiqiii, 4 fantastic Asian girls with great sensibilities and at various ages and stages in their lives (one is a lifestyle travel vlogger who's full of charm and young wisdom, one is a former tech girl who was part of the mass layoff in tech in the beginning of the year, but turned successfull full time influencer since, the 3rd one is an animation art direction lead who's talking about the struggles of being part of the animation industry, and the last one is an art uni student, about the same age as you, but like you, also full of wisdom beyond her years. I discovered the 2 of you at about the same time) but each with excellent quality of life advices. Chloe has an ongoing short series called 30 lessons by 30, one lesson per day, which is so good it's taking RUclips by storm, and she jumped from 200k followers to 500k in just a few days thanks to it.And all the others all have great discussions about life in general. I'm sure you can find lot of great insights with them. Of course, if you can find compatible people irl, it's even better, so you can actually hang out with them, which is something your generation has lost the art of doing (and I feel you for that). Good luck to you, and even if your family doesn't celebrate it, I wish you a merry Christmas, and a happy new year. If you can find a Christmas market (or anything remotely looking like it) around you, why not going have a look there, and bask in the atmosphere ? have a chat with the people there and ask them what they love about that part of the year ? Either way, take care, beautiful young lady ! And hope you'll feel better soon whenever you've adjusted a bit more and found some people you enjoy hanging out with.

I been rejected a lot by girls. I realized it reflects on them and if I didn’t get rejected I would be in relationship where I wouldn’t be happy bc my last crush seemed to be extremely self centered. I still feel lonely but all I can think is I deserve better and I will get eventually but idk when or how or who. As for what you said about that guy. I would be incredibly pissed at him too… his response was horrible and that reflects on him not you. The easiest way to change day to day is to make a checklist of everything you want done in a day. At the end of the day mark which ones you failed at and which one you succeeded at. If you failed then try harder to do it the next day until you can check it off. If you do everything on your list then add more things

(Seen from my point of view, on the subject of romantic love) I also believe, that this is what makes the longevity (of a couple, of partner in a romantic relationship, they must have both ( in addition to their love), also an objective, a common goal in their life...) Because if 2 lovers have only love, one for the other, without a common goal (in the long term) their relationship will "get tired" (in the long term) and it will end after a rather short duration... Do you like record your highlights of the day, the lows, the highs and the new staff in a diary or personal journal then come for them later do your introspection, retrospection, reflection and what not?🤔

I agree with your last statement, " make better friendship choices" the thing is we are influenced by the people we spent time with. The subconscious mind is always learning and soaking things like a sponge. Having direction in life knowing what you want, really helps one to choose friends that will have a positive influence, contribution to one's growth as a person and one won't be easily sidetracked from their personal goals, dreams or ambitions. Really nice thoughts on that....👍
