Good content swetha, i hope that you continue like that, expresing your thoughts and giving your point of view. I watched other videos and you express very well. I hope that you heal soon and blessings.
Oh my gawd!! Exactly Two days before when i was travelling I got a thought that I was not really living but surviving and this youtube algo got me here and repeatedly suggesting your videos and I'm not even bored.Bless this Human! ✨❤
Damn... Being sick is no joke, regardless of the age you're at. Hope you're gonna recover soon. As for your definition of living/surviving, basically nobody is actually living (except maybe some gurus lost in the mountains). I'd say sure everyone is in survival mode, but that doesn't necessarily mean nobody can feel alive in little oasis of moments. Case in point, I've been on survival mode for the past decade (I'm an animator, and for the most of this past decade, I've had no stable jobs in it, only contract stuff that lasted me a few months in a row, maybe a year at longest), so when I don't have job, I manage to financially survive teaching art or photography or animation on the side. But that doesn't mean I'm not feeling fully alive when I'm spending time with my friends who came to visit me from abroad, going to meet and greet artists (and draw nude models) at some great artist events, or going out to explore and discover beautiful areas or towns or countries I've never seen before, and make great art by taking street photography of them, or simply enjoying a great restaurant or movie that fills either my stomach or my heart during the time I'm consuming it. Living or surviving is not a full time gig. Both are not mutually exclusive. And I feel some people are seeing them as 2 extremes that can't coincide, and end up living miserable lives thinking life is out of reach, while they most certainly have their moments of grace.
What I meant was that most people live in survival mode without even knowing it. Without aligning themselves with what their soul wants instead they go for what they think they want cause of society. And yeah you can never always be in a living state its more so being conscious about it. Like you said living can be in small moments when you spend time with friends or make art, but even these things will only be living if it’s truly you being yourself and authentic. Everyone go through survival and living state but doing it consciously makes life soo much easier. Knowing truly when to switch from survival to living can save people so much time and energy. As always thankyou for the comment! And just curious I don’t think you have ever mentioned your name before, how can I adress you?
@@swethav231 Agreed that living is also about intentionality and authenticity. Life certainly is better when you have a drive and know how to pursue it. But that doesn't mean people can't get in survival mode even while being their true self (I know something about it). Especially if the survival has been going on for long enough that we kinda lose sight of our own goal, or give up on it, because the goal/dream was just too lofty or unattainable in the end. Then, either you enter survival mode for the rest of your life, or you switch goal to a more attainable one. While still trying to enjoy the little nothings that makes life so crunchy ^^ And oh, you can call me JJ (Jean-Jacques is my full french last name, since I was born in France, but JJ is simpler). Nice to meet you ^^.
