I wonder if you are intuitively preparing for a different future than you were hoping for? Anticipatory grief for loss? This was my experience when my husband had a malignant brain tumor removed. On one level, joy and relief. On another anticipatory grief for the loss that is to come.

I only found out recently that endometriosis is an autoimmune disease. My friend had laser treatment and never looked back after 20 years of terrible pain. Sending love to you both. Just take each day as it comes, like you did before the tumour was removed. Xx

I know what you mean. My husband and I are finally empty nesters after 36 YEARS! I have cared for children and grandchildren for almost 4 decades. It is an adjustment.

You become the “care receiver” which can be an unexpectedly difficult transition. Try not to get wrapped up in needing to define it.

Of course doctors can make fairly accurate predictions regarding a patient's prognosis, however, there are so many other factors that come into play that doctors don't look at. YOUR SO LUCKY TO STILL BE HERE AFTER 20 YEARS. MY HUSBAND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH GRADE 3 ANAPLASTIC ASTROCYTOMA IN MARCH OF 2017.HE HAD 3 TUMORS BUT ONLY THE LARGEST ONE WAS GIVING HIM SEIZURES WAS TESTED.THEY TOLD US IT COULD TURN INTO GLIOBLASTOMA AND IT DID. HE FOUGHT A HARD BATTLE BUT PASSED AWAY AFTER 15 MONTHS. YOU DON'T EVER HEAR STORIES LIKE YOURS BUT I HOPE WE WILL STILL HEAR FROM YOU IN ANOTHER 20 YEARS. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES.😊😊😊
