Hi everyone! Welcome to my garden in Central Florida, zone 10a. I LOVE roses and attracting pollinators to the garden. 🐝🌹🦋

Garden Update After Hurricane Milton 🌀
Thankful we have no damage after Hurricane Milton🌀, it hit us as a category 1 in Orlando. So many people were affected not only from the hurricane but also from all the tornados 🌪️ that arrived beforehand .
Praying for our state and everyone affected. 🙏🏼

Hi garden friends! September has been a cray month for me, busy, busy, busy and it shows in the garden. It looks like a hot mess. 🤪🤦🏻♀️ There are weeds EVERYWHERE but there are also beautiful blooms. I’m trying to weed as much as I can and pull some dead plants out and cut my roses back. I need to prep the garden for Fall planting.

Hi friends! Welcome to my August garden tour. This month I’ve somewhat abandoned the garden.😬 It’s been hot, humid and very rainy which doesn’t make me want to be out too much. This past week I started taking all the zinnias out and started pruning/defoliating my roses to prepare them for Fall. 🍂 I will continue to prep the garden for the cooler season ahead. In the video I was going to post th...

Amazing! How many of these plants are annuals verses perennials - I want a lush garden in zone 9B, but I am hoping to focus on perennials for simplicity sake.
Thank you! The roses, coral honeysuckle, red fountain grass, society garlic, and salvias are perennial. Depending if we get a freeze the coleus and sun patiens will also be perennial. The rest is pretty much annuals but again here in Orlando the amount of rain and heat really dictates how long those annuals will last.

Magical little creatures. 😊
🥰🥰
Pretty cool
So glad y’all are safe! That’s the most important thing. Sending good thoughts to the people of Florida. ❤️🦋
Thank you! 💚
Glad you are alright! We have a big mess but I still have power but no Internet. I brought most of my plants inside. I also belong to a community garden and I heard it's flooded. I am feeling grateful! Really glad you are doing well!
So sorry about your community garden but glad to hear you’re well. Hopefully this is the last hurricane for this season.🤞🏼
I got a lot of wind burn and a few toppled plants but that's it. Glad you didn't take a hard hit.
Glad you didn’t either!
That is awesome! We didn’t lose power either. I’m in Fort Myers. The yard looks bad. The live oaks and banana trees look worse for the wear but we didn’t lose anything. We were blessed! Glad you were too!
So glad you’re well. I’ve been watching footage of the tornadoes that hit Ft.Myers, my goodness some had major damage. I think I’m more scared of tornadoes than hurricanes. 😬 Yes, we were definitely blessed! 🙏🏼🙌🏼
@@FloridaCottageGarden the tornadoes were horrendous! And they were big ones not the normal size we get around here.
@@kelliwebb2870 yea, they freak me out. Hopefully that doesn’t become the norm with hurricanes. 😩
@@FloridaCottageGarden our fine government!
So beautiful 😊
Thank you!
Not bad. So thankful here in Ormond Beach, too. Twigs and leaves.
Glad to hear!
Glad to see you had no damage or flooding. Same goes for me in palm bay, BUT I don't have power; so you're very lucky that you do. Lots of leaves and twigs to clean up, but that's about it.
Glad to hear you’re well. Hope you get your power back soon!
너무 아름다워요~♡
Thank you!
Praying for safety 😊
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Beautiful garden and sunset. I love the sunsets in Central Florida🩷🌸
Thank you, me too! 🥰
I love it🩷
So gorgeous!! I’m from Orlando too. Where did you get that vine ?
Thank you! From Appenberry’s Gardens off of Edgewater.

Stunningly beautiful and tranquil 💖🎊
Thank you!
Zar može ljepše?❤❤❤ 🫖🌺🌳🌼🍀
It looks gorgeous. We put up shutters today 🤞 We're in the east just south of Melbourne. Stay safe!
Thank you! 💜 My husband boarded most of our windows, we have our supplies and all my small potted plants are all huddled together. I’m in Orlando so this feels very much like Charlie but God willing we’ll all be fine. Stay safe! 💚
I am bringing all the plants in pots in! It looks like a jungle in here! I am staying I think!
lol, I did that once but brought in some critters as well so I just huddled all my plants together in our porch, boarded up as well and will also be staying. Stay safe!
Be safe!
You too!
Been thinking of everyone in Florida and the SE. Let us know how you’re doing.
Thank you, will do!
Sending you good thoughts during this crazy hurricane season!! Stay safe!!
Thank you so much!
So many weeds this year! It's been a constant battle. Definitely maybe more water than last year? I would love to have a video of you pruning roses if you could. I am new to roses and want to plant some on my Homosassa garden. I want to learn as much as I can first though before I start.
Yes, and it’s still so hot and humid. I wonder if Milton will be bringing in even more humidity, I’m so over it. 🤪 Can’t wait for cooler weather. I’ll definitely do a video when I hard prune in January. If I get a chance I’ll do one of my softer prune. I normally do all my pruning in September but I still haven’t finished. 😫
What plant is this?
Agastache and then towards the end it’s Mystic Spire Salvia.
Beautiful ❤
Beautiful!!
Ranunculus in Florida? This must be fake! If only this were real…. 😳
It’s real, I’ll start pre sprouting some soon to enjoy in spring.
I’m in Orlando too. Where do you get those vines 😍😍😍. Your garden is gorgeous
Thank you! I bought the coral honeysuckle and sky vine at Appenberry’s Gardens.
Very nice garden top,👍
Thank you!
Beautiful garden! What is the name of the vine with the purple flower?
Thank you! It’s called Sky Vine.
❤❤
I love that music what is name
Thank you, it’s called “Secret Garden.”

Your garden is heaven’s place on earth, so beautiful 🦋💕 Stay safe. 🙏🏻 Blessings from Europe ❤ 🍀
Thank you so much! 💚
I'm hoping mine don't get blown away as well. Fingers crossed
🤞🏼🤞🏼 Stay safe!
I was thinking the same thing as I looked at my sweet potato vine....so far so good. Very little wind....just a few rain bands
@@rootelation486 so surprised how little impact we had. Everything looks fine. How about you? Everything good?
@FloridaCottageGarden im pretty far inland...about 39 miles from naples pier...so we don't see much trouble if the storm stays in the gulf. My young trees take a beating, but it looks like everything made it out OK. The tall zinnias are prostrate this morning but hey. I will re-stack my smaller vertical planters later this afternoon...the greenstalk stays in place and is just fine. Glad you're ok!
@@rootelation486 glad to hear it wasn’t that bad.
Identifiquei um monte de plantas e flores que tenho aqui no meu quintal no Rio.Vou pintar o meu muro de branco também porque ajuda a destacar as cores.👏
That’s interesting that we can grow the same plants. 😊
Hummingbirds delight
Yes, love watching them. 💚
Love the pink. ❤
And I’ve never seen that sage before!
First time I saw it was on one of Janey’s (Dig Plant Water Repeat) videos. If you look closely the texture looks like little pieces of velvet.
Salvia leucantha....the most gorgeous blooms. Just make sure you have room for it....she's a big girl.
@FloridaCottageGarden do you cut your leucantha back or leave it to do as it pleases? I have 2...the one on my south side seems to need a cut back while the one on the NE just requires I trim out a few branches each year. I wonder if I should just cut both all the way to the ground each year.
@@rootelation486 I prune them back hard when I prune my roses back in mid to late January.
Beautiful! I’m a big fan of Belinda.
Me too! Love the bubblegum color and the fragrance is amazing! 🩷
Love your garden. Good job!
Thank you so much!
