Katong Laksa constitute a very small portion of Laksa available in Singapore and is only popular because of the feedback by expatriates (people who do not give a shit about eating culture and quality. people who wants to show off that they have been to Singapore.) It is like telling Italians that their pizzas taste best with chilli sauce. BTW Laksa cooked without coconut cream is NOT laksa.
