Democrats are Hungry Men
I love the delicate, intricate poetry of REM. I got into this album whenI was 16, at the time, absorbing everything 1000%. Each and every one of those songs felt like tiny universes, or tiny planets, with their own existence. So rich and amazing. REM has such a strong and peculiar sound. They were amazing <3
Building blocks for what came 3 yrs later.
❄️🤍
Starman David Bowie The definitive biography by Paul Trynka p.72
Always liked this raw thing without any means.
bro wut in the FUKKK is this guy talking about!?
Bowie may have later semi-disowned this. But I both think it is hilarious and a very good composition. I think he should have been proud of it considering he was still a teenager when he wrote & recorded it. Maybe it brought back bad memories for him…
No wonder a favourite on tours. Enjoy the memories like I do Angela x
:/
This classic song brings back memories of late winter and early spring of 1997. Say, did anyone else here remember seeing Comet Hale Bopp, or on March 26 of that year when news got out that Bre X Mining was all a scam?
Soundtrack was sick, movie was ass
Great. Album still got this on vinyl. Brought it 1971
"Hidden Meaning Of Test Card F "
Brilliant work 🎉
I liked him best with blond hair.
❤never ending
Simply put, The Greatest American rock band ...
I own all the R.E.M. albums through Monster, but this is my first time listening to New Adventure in Hi Fi. Love it!
Rob Dickinson heard this one
in 1996 obviously
Craig Finn heard this
The little girl where did it I come from? Seriously? Heroes from not because of you! Thank you Bowie.
I've not listened to this in over 30 years. Became a huge Bowie fan when I was given all of his back catalogue in the early 1990s. Going through it again, after listening to the @bowiepodcast guys on the Fantastic Voyage podcast, Im not sure it ever registered with my 11 year old self (if I knew what one was at the time) the little Bombadier was likley a paedophile...or was he?
Nostalgia, excelente!!!
One of the best songs ever written
He worked hard.
Thanks!
HAPPY
it's ok to miss the '90s
"I'm commenting because I'm proud of myself for being part of this masterpiece."
Love
What a fucking great song!
This song is about a pedo, right? Weird considering Bowie screwed a 13 yo groupie
Ive never would have thought a song about drowning would sound so euphoric
Rem on the road 👌
Shows his voice really well for those who are focused, open-minded listeners.
This was left over from Monster... I appreciated REM, debated em VS U2 back a hundred years ago. U2 won that easily over time, but I miss these dude's.. GREEN anmd Documenbt still my shit, and this album of course
