My word that Larrivee sounds amazing! Ohhh and you did a great job also.
@@nickster5286 thank you, it really does! I don’t play it out often but did the other night and it does sound great live as well, with a K&K Pure Mini
@AndrewLynchMusic right on my man. I have to say I really appreciate how you entered the "verses" A chord (I think it was an A at least). Most players just hit it with no finesse. It shows understanding and musicality. Very nice indeed. As for the Larrivee, I have been a fan for over 20 years, it will probably be my next big acoustic purchase. I have a couple of pieces collecting dust that would free up a bit of space for something just like that......
Hello. This is a great video. Thanks for doing it! I was wondering what other effects and settings you have on at the 5:38 mark along with the echo to get that fat sound.
@@TransitiveNightfallofDiamonds thank you! The settings are in the bottom left corner of the video 🤘
@@AndrewLynchMusic Thanks! I was wondering if there was a Distortion effect in there as well as the Transistor Tape. Your guitar has a pretty awesome crunch on it. Maybe it is just the amp. If you ever have any extra time and want to do another instructional video on using HX, there isn't all that much online for handling the Distortion effects. I watched your compressor video and that was really good as well. I have never had such a useful lesson on using compressors. Would love to see that same kind of treatment for some of the Distortion effects on HX. Maybe some rainy day ........ Thanks again!
@@TransitiveNightfallofDiamonds ah okay. Honestly this video was made so long ago it’s hard to remember, I haven’t used the HX Stomp in years. I zoomed in on the video at it looks like I have a compressor block, probably the LA Studio Comp set very light, and an amp block, probably the “matchstick” with some gain. No distortion or overdrive blocks. I also have reverb, probably plate. For the amp blocks, dial up the gain to about 1/3 or halfway, and use the volume to compensate for unity level against the bypass signal. EQ I generally like a brighter tone, taking away bass can also add clarity
@@AndrewLynchMusic This is great!! Thanks!!

Thanks man.
@@scottgaul334 thanks for checking it out
Do you by chance have a video that speaks a little to your setup? Like what interface you’re using and how it works in concert with the amp and pedals?
I appreciate the direct and brief lesson!
I don't like phase with heavy distortion either. I found the solution running it in parallel with my drives.
That works!
Hi!Nice playing. What about tuning stability with this tremolo?
This is the Callaham strat trem, excellent stability
What is the guitar stand model and brand?
This is the K&M 17515. Great stand
This was dope

@@ivanrizo-ui3my 🙏🙏
The only thing I focused on was telling which one I liked the most and 10 ou 10 times I picked the real amp. It sounds much better. *I own a Helix.
@@sejuyz agreed!
I think your lesson is the most accurate interpretation of this tune. I haven’t been playing for long and sus chords can confuse me. At 4:35 in your vid, you refer to an Asus chord. But isn’t it an A7sus? Not trying to be critical, I’m just trying to learn
Thank you. Yes you are correct, that is technically an A7sus4! My apologies
Good going , sounds really good❤
A univibe is a phaser. Just like like a Muff is a type of fuzz. 9.9/10 a phase 90 will serve you better.
Both is nice!
They’re not the same though even though they are the same
@ramencurry6672 It's just a type of phaser, a phase 90 sounds different to a phase 100 and that differs from a different more complex phaser. Calling it a univibe is a confusion. It'd be like singling out a RAT and saying its "RAT" and not distortion. There's a foolishness to it.
@ they are two separate effects for all intents and purposes
@AndrewLynchMusic Definitely are not, the marketing got you.
I just recently got my first flight date the issue is I have an old Roland VG8 which is part of my tone and playing in a big way so I'm thinking I can ship my VG8 alongside my pedal board via FedEx so that it can be there safely, round trip would cost somewhere close to $50 and I think I would be far more comfortable with this instead of stupid TSA rules.
Very cool....
ALways been a strat player. IMHO Two strats are the absolute minimum.. One fat humbucker oriented sounds and the othe one with classic quaky and glossy sounds.... Way to go bro. Suggestion: make another one for slide or drop D, or just for pickup testing?
Great lesson thanks. Especially for the notation!

Great demo , i use my Phaser and univibe and every other modulation pedal i use now and then before the distortion , i love the univibe (i have the Mojo , pedal pawn and Jam Retrovibe) but in a live setting with another guitar player the Phase 90 is way more usable , the vibe doesn’t cut through the mix IMO
@@janvanzuilekom sweet
still, i like the vibe better for soloing
Wheres the ending part?
@@TheDonzim I should add that in a part 2! 😝
@@AndrewLynchMusic. Look at Loren Bariger’s lesson and he does the ending run no disrespect to Mr Lynch
@@joecontreras5068 haha none taken! I filmed it but I remember it was not clear so I left it out haha
I had to watch Mr Lynch do it because Loren’s bridge just wasn’t clear but Mr Lynch’s bridge was very clear. I learned Loren’s version of the song , I just couldn’t get the bridge. So they both taught me the song, I’m so happy I learned it but praises to both of them guys
Sounds a little hotter than the blue side of a KoT honestly. Killer IMO
