Whale evolution has faced problems because of the short timescale (~10 million years) allowed by the fossil record for whales to evolve from fully terrestrial mammals to fully aquatic whales. As Richard Sternberg has argued, the many anatomical changes necessary to convert a land-mammal to a whale could not take place by Darwinian evolution even in 10 million years. There just isn't time. But this new fossil might imply that the amount of time available was actually less than 5 million years. so maybe it ain't DNA alone maybe hox protiens already made in the sperm. and maybe read in the egg .but more variable in the sperm. if ya look at parents and kids even fathers and daughters they seem to resemble their fathers more mostly . limb proportion shoulders head shape and that's all was able to observe

mcmanustony oh yes i have ive read many many books. How about i teach you some basic biology 101 facts. Not sure how much you know about amino acids but I'll assume you do. There are over 2,000 different amino acids but only 20 are used for life. The Urey-Miller experiment excluded oxygen because oxygen oxidises, it was assumed that Earth's early atmosphere didn't contain oxygen, but without oxygen you don't have an ozone layer and the Suns cosmic rays will literally cook anything to a crisp. By now your thinking that this could have happened deep in the oceans, but we now have a different problem, it's called hydrolysis, that is water breaks down the molecular bonds of amino acids and hence preventing the formation of proteins. In fact 99% of the compounds produced by Urey-Miller were toxic. More failures, no success producing all 20 amino acids, no success in producing all 4 nucleotides, no satisfactory synthesis of sugars, no satisfactory synthesis of fatty acids, no success with left and right handedness [that is left handed amino acids] and right handed sugars. It is understood that Life is made up of 100% left handed amino acids (LHAA), when life dies over time this converts to 50% LHAA and 50% RHAA. The Urey-Miller experiment produced 50% LHAA and 50% RHAA (this is poison to life) so the experiment simulated death not life. Why does life only use LHAA's? When you eat your sardine sandwich you are effectively eating 50% LHAA and 50% RHAA but wait your stomach (a co-dependent system) only processes the LHAA. So how does the stomach recognise the LHAA? It is well accepted by all scientists that the building block of life is in the DNA and the genetic information contained in it (the book of life). Information is a fundamental, nonmaterial entity, separate from mass and energy. This means information has no material or physical existence. You cannot see it, touch it, smell it, or taste it. You cannot weigh it on a scale like a bag of sugar or store it in your refrigerator. Yet it is as real as and has more importance and power than any physical or material entity that exists. The grand theory of evolution would gain some empirical support if it could be demonstrated, in a real experiment, that information could arise from matter left to itself without the addition of intelligence. That's how you portray Christ crucified in your sight, as Paul describes to the Galatians when they heard a different Gospel, unsettling them. That prompted Paul's letter to them to remind them of what they had seen and touched. Though in Paul's day, as he states, it glowed. Forensics have leapt forward since 1988. Not only is it now considered genuine, it has the same function as it did for the Galatians: to portray Christ crucified.

Failure to deal with fact is the reason Sternburg is no longer a scientist, as he places his religious belief above facts.
