- In my previous video titled "The Enigma of Memory: Beyond the Brain" I explained that although memories may be represented in a brain they, due to their psychological nature, cannot possibly be stored there. I quoted a number of experts, (Robert Epstein, a senior research psychologist, Matthew Cobb, professor of biological science, and Michael Egnor, a neurosurgeon, to back up this claim. As well, I cited empirical evidence from hemispherectomies and Near Death Experiences to back up this claim. Dr Egnor was so impressed with that video that he wrote an article titled "Where, Exactly, Is Memory Stored in the Brain?" on the video. Now, to further corroborate the primary thesis of that video, that memories can't possibly be stored in the brain, I will cite a recent superb article titled "HSAM Memory Whiz Subjects Scored 25 Times Higher on a Random Dates Test". In that article, numerous experts further corroborate the original thesis of my first video
As you can see, if you read the HSAM article, that is a fairly impressive, and lengthy, list of experts who are strongly corroborating the main thesis of my original video. In short, from numerous angles, it is now becoming very well established that memories cannot possibly be stored in the brain. This finding is simply crushing to the materialistic philosophy that is currently dominating academia which holds that memories must be reducible to the material brain. In short, you, and all your memories, are much more than just your material brain.
