Great album
Have been a fan since Spain with Chick Correa. What about his work with Joe Sample on the same album as Michael Franks?
And Jim Fielder on Bass
God Bless the Child
Gino Vannelli’s Brother to Brother album plus the title track
The Art of Tea 😉❤️👍🏼
Thank you … I first heard Joe Sample via “Carmel”
Eddie Kendrick started singing falsetto
Thank you. This song really heals me all the time. Grew up in Japan, living in London, I always dreaming western world when I was kid, listening to this. Somehow went to the university Sade went to. I do feel that no one makes music like this. but I do believe that I can create beautiful music like they did. We shall carry on and on. As long as we have a soul that we can appreciate these beautiful music. We can create.
Thank you for liking my comment. Will send you my music in one day. Once I completed. See you.
You've earned a subscribe from me .. I'm old school and I love Raul is my top 3 vocalist in my list and he is not 3rd or 2nd.
@@staylebutler9135 Thanks for the sub, and I agree with you about Raul. Legend!
Have loved The Mavericks and Raul Malo for about 30 years. They always made me want to dance and I could get lost in Raul’s smooth vocals. Pushing 70 and still LOVE them!
Love all of Lenny's music
I agree with everything you say. Tonight I rediscovered this brilliant masterpiece, and it wasn't until I heard the chorus that I realized I knew this song. It's just fun to hear the twists and turns this song takes. e.g. The ingenious flowing transition from the funky intro to the first chorus alone is compositional art of the very best quality. And you have experiences like that over and over again with this song.
Amazing songs, timeless!
Wonderful memories ❤ I love your reactions i can see and feel your love and emotional invest in them
Jazzy because nearly every chord is a 7th chord. Love the Gary Katz connection.
I probably heard this great song in 65 but I was young listening to different types of music especially pop. This is an incredible song, Levis voice is incredible. Probably my favorite of all their very good songs. So fortunate to have grown up in the 60s, my favorite decade for music. A plethora of great singers, bands, and songs!!🎉🎉
Such a slick bassline throughout the song. Definitely a sleeper for players of the instrument.
Honestly, I can appreciate the 5th Dimensions version BUT I enjoyed what I know as the original version more as sung by Patti Drew. I was about 4 years old in summer of 1968, the year Patti's version came out. I had older siblings and we had the 45 record of Patti's. Many old 45 records were left behind when my older siblings move out of our home to start their lives after high school. Anyway I love the 60's, music. Aquarius/Let The Sun Shine is a great "mashup" as the kids may call it now. There is a story told by Marilyn & Billy on how they decided to records the song(s). See if you can find it online, and all I can say I guess it was just meant to be.
What a voice ! RIHP
2025 still fabulous❤
One of my favourites too. Sublime.
Phenomenal song by a phenomenal singer❤❤❤❤
what a great track ! Killer band to boot.
I really liked the song Sweetheart when it came out and I agree Toto's songs sound like that type of pop music, but so did many other bands or groups music sound the same at that time like Hall & Oates.
ronstadt best white female singer last 60 years !! no one comes close even now, power, beauty in motion !!
I like your review. You’re very knowledgeable. Your sound sucks. Fix that and you’ll be great.
What a fab story! Must have been such a thrill. This is my favourite track off an album I bought on release from Boots in Blackburn, Lancashire.
They were NOT a real couple..
2009 video Bob very complimentary regarding Joan and she explains a few things too about their relationship ruclips.net/video/Olh-XGQkp3g/видео.htmlsi=Zbw7xNYXAGC5nufZ
Great song. Give it up to the Andantes for backing them up. Check out the Mosogotam extended version of this song.
I Sing this song everyday while driving .. A big fan of those two since 79..and Marcus Miller as well.
I used to see Tiran at the local electronics store in San Jose. I think he still lives in NorCal. This song is my favorite of Tiran’s and also Chinatown from the Living on the fault line record.

@@CalifKid730 Chinatown is epic. you have great taste!
@ I live here in the Bay Area still. I’ve been to the top of the transamerica building. I’m living on the fault line here. Thanks for your channel! All the best! Steve
Its the best song and track ever! Perfection!👌❤️🤤
I don't believe there was anyone in music who had the vocal ability as these guys, it is truly mind-blowing!
I'm the same age as you, and after hearing this Song just ONCE way back in 1972 (that was when it was a hit over here in the UK) I immediately went out and purchased it - the first Record I bought with my own money! I did not know about the tragically sad story - thanks for sharing. I’m certainly with you on all those re-makes; people rave about them - but they are not a patch on this classic! (by the way; you’re WELL FIT! You have such a HANDSOME profile!) Great Review of this wonderful Song. Thanks.
I would like to add the genius drumming of Mark Craney. I am 70 now and Gino is still on my best music list
Wow, that song gives me goosebumps!! Praise the LORD!!
The Thing is, The Song That I Just Shazamed It About 2 Months Man, 2 Months That I Just Shazamed With This Song, So I Got On My iPod Since I Shazamed This Song, But I Just Loved To Listen To This Song, It Sounds So Pearlie Man, Because I Feel Very Happy!!!
Down Mexico way...."He don't need an airplane/or some kinda engine/And never will......" Don Juan, Carlos Castenada/Peyote, Mescaline.
I so appreciate your passion and enthusiasm for this wonderful music. I am also a huge fan of Joe Sample and Michael Franks.
I love Martika. She was great on Kids Incorporated. Fergie was on that show too. This song is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.
J
I love Robins vocals in this sexy song. All 3 of them are amazing.
TSOP FOREVER 💙
I still play my mono original 45 of this over and over! Pure monophonic analog vinyl bliss😊
Edwards did it in 1951 on 78rpm, a slower version. Melody was composed by Charles Dawes in 1912.. he was vice president. Look up a TV special about this on Google “ Remembering Tommy Edwards” produced for a Richmond TV station . There’s a historical marker for Edwards in Richmond.
Huge hit in the fall of 1958. I remember this as a kid and still one of my favs. Many other versions but this is the definitive that others copy. Edwards is from Richmond, VA. Died November 1969.
