Ok so I have never done this before but I’ve watched both vids and I’m hoping for somewhat of a successful outcome! I got a gel plate off amazon and two size brayers and paper so Wish me luck you make it look so easy hahaha

Love this style, I wouldn't be able to sell it either. I'd just make more of this style. I've kept mostof the ones I've made. sitting down to make another one and one for a friend for a short trip we are taking. It's so hard to edit it all down though, lol.

Would love some spread tutorials, doing two pages next to each other and just a break down of what you like to add to each journal. Beautiful book

Sara-Lee, it was so interesting watching you make this little folio. Sometimes I ink; sometimes I don't, but sometimes the piece just calls out for the ink. It really does add that special touch. I was especially noticeable on the notepad as it made the individual pages stand out. Thanks for all the tips.

First day covers are stamps placed on a letter or card and mailed on date of issue. Collectors will mail to themselves the day of release so it has the postage date

I dont journal. Love the journals that are full of beautiful surprises! Lots of pockets and folds for goodies. Put things in them like you would put in a scrapbook!

The reveal of the pulls is fabulous! These prints would be great a future journal or two I’m wanting to do!

What was the medium you used for the back of the paper? Was it a type of gesso or maybe mod poge?

That's why I have more than one journal in action or really pending at one time. One was together and pages decorated and I just couldn't go further until I realised I was trying to put things in it that really didn't fit. I've made it a persons note book and she is an educated well to do woman and then things just came together on what she would have in the journal and now I know what I want in it. Another is anything the I fall in love with and want for ME. Others are when I have something that fits for them. The pressure of providing something for someone else changes things. I did 2 birthday journals and I was always worried that they wouldn't like them. They loved them but unlike the JJ family they don't always appreciate the hidden little things that go into a journal. Just one thing you add or see will draw it all together for you and hopefully as you film your process so will we. Good Luck. We love your work.

If it doesn't stick due to it going underneath, just use double sided tape.. probably won't be able to see it. And I'm sure the shiny side of freezer paper would also work well for this.. great video!

Thank you no you haven't wasted my time. I also have the Readers Digest book which is missing a number of pages (I wonder why) and for those in Australia a good one is Field Guide to the Wildflowers of Australia's South West by Jane Scott & Patricia Negus and it has the drawings on only one side of the page.
