UCD's Annetta Zintl on mosquitos, citizen science and spotting invasive species in Ireland
Are there mosquitoes in Ireland? Do you think there might be some in your garden? Would you know how to spot an invasive species?
The UCD citizen science community of practice recently invited members of NetVec (the network of insect vectors in Ireland) to talk about their work, as part of the UCD citizen science community of practice.
With the combined effects of climate change, widespread establishment of exotic vector-borne pathogens in continental Europe, and increased trade in livestock and goods between Ireland and the continent, Ireland is at increased risk from invasive arthropod vectors and vector-borne disease.

Wonderful to see this innovative research happening in UCD - linking climate justice to social justice is so important for humanity and the earth
I'd rather die in the wasteland than be stuck underground with rich pricks who think they are entitled to yoga classed and comfort in the face of what they are most likely responsible for bringing about.
Settings>accessibility>Mono Audio "ON" Makes this much easier to listen to/play in both ears for android. Likely very similar for IOS.
