Coffee morning talk on UCD Sustainable Research Initiative by Gwyneth MacMaster and Bryan Dalton

UCD Earth Institute coffee morning research talk on the UCD Sustainable Research Initiative: Working together to carry out research in a more sustainable way by Gwyneth MacMaster and Bryan Dalton (UCD School of Biology and Environmental Science), 8 February 2024.
The UCD Sustainable Research Initiative was initially piloted in the College of Health and Agricultural Sciences before being rolled out across the University. Working closely with the new VP for Sustainability and the Sustainability Officer, we are a community of like minded researchers and technical staff based across wet-lab based sciences, clinical research and field based activities who come together to share experiences and to develop and promote ways of working to reduce the impact of how we carry out research, on the environment. In this talk we will outline some of our initiatives around waste and energy reduction that are currently taking place within the Earth Institute itself.
