I don't know if I would want to cover such a sensitive subject, I can't imagine how stressful it was for those women. I know there was a mass grave site, maternal stress (shame and indentured service seems incredible stressful) during pregnancy leads to higher infant and maternal mortality. I know these have been studies on maternal stress and pregnancy outcomes, married women tend to have pregnancies with less complications then unmarried women, assuming the relationship is stable and healthy. The ideal of children within marriage is not because of shame/rules, but it is obviously healthier and less stress on the mother and baby. It's called 'matrimony' for that reason, not 'patrimony'. I know there have been studies, aside of marital status, that if the father lives with the mother during pregnancy and tends to the pre-natal needs there are healthier outcomes. As for forced/coerced adoption, it puts additional stress on mom and baby which leads to less than healthy outcomes. I am not a fan of adoption, unless due to substance/mental health and I always prefer a child to be raised by kin, not strangers.

Combine all of that with the moral teachings that any slip up could put you in hell for eternity, and it can feel like a "soul crushing" experience for many men to try to navigate NFP while also being 100% compliant with Church teaching on these matters. There are in fact more traditions in the Novus mass than TLM. Usually TLM'ers do not know much about the true traditions of Catholicism. Many times they are newer Catholics and do not know the importance of obedience. In fact, the true tradition of being a catholic is to change when the magistrate changes the mass. You deal with it out of obedience. The Latin mass wasn't even the first nor second form of the mass anyway. At Vatican 2 the vote was accepted in principle by a vote of 2,231 to 43. Jesus is Jesus and doesn't change form because the mass changed. The Rad Trads are the new schism I have said this for years.

I'm afraid it isn't only wrath that social media enables, but all of the deadly sins. I've got to tell you Reneé, I've sent myself to the confessional so many times because of what I see and what I post on social media, and that includes things I post on your channel. It doesn't matter whether it was constructive or not, angry or not, well spoken or not. In fact, it is often the most well spoken, polite, and ambassadorial posts I am most guilty over. And it is because, somewhere, I can't help but think that somebody--perhaps a lot of people--were hurt by what I wrote, or felt so moved that they would argue back, or fret over it, or be bothered somehow. I often wonder to myself if what I was arguing was so important--so crucial--that I had to waste time writing it, and have those who read it and responded waste time with me over it. It never is. The fact of the matter is that these people, the Taylor Marshalls, the Michael Loftons, the TFP Student Action, the Cleveland Street Preachers, Based Thomas Aquinas, the whole cadré of Catholic, Christian, and religious RUclips, are so purely unimportant to anything real in my life, that they could all disappear tomorrow, and I would be no worse for it. I don't know these people. I really have no stake in these discussions. And yet, I can't help but think that the only reason I engage with these social mediums is because of selfish and egotistic reasons, taking me away from grace. I overestimate my importance. I privilege my need to be heard and understood by others, rather than to put these needs aside for the sake of doing His work. And for what? Some likes, some banter, and some reassurance (for me and nobody else) that I "matter" in some petty sense? This stuff is poison, Reneé. It is a sin factory. Social media is like a superhighway system for daemons to prey upon our worst natures. Because even when you post good things, they are never as good--and never as real--as actually living life in reality. And, what's worse is that we also draw other people away from important things to engage in these fears, arguments, and controversies. There's life, and then there's this thing called the internet that takes on a life of its own.

There is always a prayer made at mass for our government and leaders, no matter who they are, what they represent, or their beliefs. Government seems to be one of those things that belongs to what Augustine would call "The City of Man." It's an earthy institution, deeply problematic in whatever form, and we ought not be surprised when it fails to live up to divine expectations. But the Christian, as Augustine would say, lives in two cities: the City of Man and the City of God. The City of God is what exists within and around the City of Man, where we can practice and benefit from those divine virtues of faith, hope, and charity. Mercy over justice. Love over expediency. The profound over the pragmatic. Monarchy isn't going to establish these things. No government can establish these things. The purpose of Christian life isn't to turn the City of Man into the City of God; that would be akin to the folly of the Tower of Babel. A monarchy will make our lives no more holy than a democracy, because the form of the earthly authority does not mitigate its earthly essence. Rather, we should suffer the shortcomings of the City of Man with as much patience as we can muster, and take our strength from The City of God. Is that not what we teach today? Or is this view of things no longer what we learn?

I don't think of "Catholic" as a noun. I think of it as a verb. When my mother asks me why I'm going to the parish on first Friday today, I tell her "I'm Catholicing." When people ask me why I wash the statues of the saints, I say "I'm Catholicing." When it's near noon, and I drive to the closest parish to do the Angelus, and my company says "why are you here?," I say to them "I'm going to Catholic for two minutes tops, but I'll be right back." Being Catholic is something that you get better at the more that you do it. But it is in the doing, not in the believing, where the graces can be found. Personally, I don't think the angels and the saints are any more or less available at a novus ordo parish than they are at an SSPX one. I don't think they are going to care if we pray in Latin, or English, or Spanish, or any of that. But I'll say this much. If somebody asks me if the retired janitor washing statues of the saints at dawn at his Spanish-speaking parish is any less pious than the highly-educated trad-cath convert who wakes up at dawn to drive hundreds of miles to sit in on an SSPX mass, I'll say "I'm not qualified to judge." People have got to do what their souls tell them to do. But there's dogma, and there's maturity. Dogma is easy to learn. But maturity is something only practice and experience can bestow.

OK, just bear through one more post if you would please, and then I can get off for a while, because we have lives, right? First, a brief side point. Nothing to do with the Catholic Church, but the United States is not a democracy, and in fact, democracy is not a good thing. No, it doesn't mean dictatorship or even monarchy is a good thing, something I addressed recently. Ben Franklin once aptly defined democracy as two wolves and a lamb sitting down to decide what they would have for dinner. The United States is a constitutional republic, which is limited majority rule done through representation and subject to the limits of established law. But that's not the main thing I wanted to write about. I want to say something that may be a bit startling, may even be a bit irritating, but it is meant not to attack but to give you deep thought and, as best as one can do over the Internet, offer Christian correction. Now, nothing can excuse whatever crazy things have happened to you as a result of someone attacking you on FB and all that. That's evil, that's a sin, and it really is an example of someone who really has too much time on their hands. That being said, I have seen your videos for a while, and in regards to Traditional Catholics, I might offer this. You are prejudiced. I don't know where it comes from but you are prejudiced. And this is the vantage point from which I see this. I am a Traditional, Latin Mass Catholic. I also happen to be a permanently professed member of a Catholic congregation of brothers, which is over 200 years old, which is part of what some other Trads would call the "post-conciliar Church" or the "Vatican II sect". I go to a Novus Ordo Mass with them six times a week. "Wait a minute...what?" Well, life is not always so cookie cutter. To make things even more complicated, I used to be opposed to the Latin Mass, mainly because they had announcements in the middle of everything, and before I came to know why that was, I thought it was a terrible abuse. I had seen it at my first Latin Mass, and because of it I didn't attend another one for seven years. After that, I warmed to it again, and things have changed. I now attend a Latin Mass on Sundays, the one day I can alone, and on any other day when something happens and I can go. If I had a choice, I would go to a Latin Mass seven days a week and would not attend the Novus Ordo, but I don't. Now, here is the challenge. Attend a Latin Mass. Not an SSPX or other independent one, no, an approved Latin Mass. Look around online. There might be some not far from where you are. And don't just attend, but talk to the people there. Maybe go once a month, making friends with some of them. You just might find some things about the Latin Mass that you find beautiful. And you might find some people who are not like the trolls that you encounter online. You might find people who, like myself, have life circumstances where they attend both. I also teach catechism at two parishes where the Novus Ordo is offered, one exclusively. I live in a monastery that is exclusively Novus Ordo. And yet, I am also a Trad Catholic. Like I said, life is not so cookie cutter, and things over the course of years worked out that way, namely because I moved from being "Tradition-minded" in my time here to Traditional Catholic. I challenge you, as a Trad Catholic who is literally surrounded by the "post-conciliar Church" (I don't usually use that term, it's just the Church to me) in his daily living, go to a Latin Mass and make friends with Traditional Catholics. If I can be tolerant enough, be non-prejudicial enough, to live my daily life with BROTHERS who do not share my views, people whom I pray with, work with, eat with, then by all means YOU can go to a Latin Mass, maybe once a month for, say, six months, and make some friends. You might find them to be more Catholic than you think.

No, Dear. You are not a practitioner of the ONE TRUE FAITH. You are an indoctrinated masonic tool. Catholicism is not merely your ideals of Roman Catholicism. There are other Catholics, as well as many Orthodox, Coptics, Assyrians, Chaldeans, and Ethiopians who support the beliefs of what traditional Roman Catholicism fundamentally taught, practiced, and upheld civilization by nearly 1,000 years. Difference being their royals and leaders were infiltrated and enslaved by Caliphates and not by Muhammedan Masons as Europe was. Same thing in all actuality but Masonry is much more detrimental to society as a whole because it destroys Faith, it Divides, it usurps historical facts and teaches false theology, false ideals of Liberty and Freedom, and it seeks to demolish any ideas of a world government run by ethical and moral equivalence. A thought first on monarchy and TFP. While some TFP people may be sympathetic to monarchy, I do not believe all are. It's a fantastical idea to believe in it here in America, anyway. There is an error of fantasy in the belief in monarchy as something that is the perfect system of government ordained by God. If one looks at the OT and the institution of the monarchy of ancient Israel, one finds that God did it only very reluctantly, and that the prophet Nathan spoke to the people, telling them all that their king (in this case, Saul) would do to them, in terms of taking their property and all. God only agreed to it to placate the people. The result was predictable, with the majority of kings in the OT doing evil in the sight of the Lord. Also, those Traditional Catholics who believe in monarchy fail to see how it is a double-edged sword. Yes, monarchy did cause the conversion of whole countries in Europe to Christ. It also, in one fell swoop, caused the Catholic Church to be lost for a time in all of England, suppressed Catholicism in Ireland, and helped spread the Protestant Revolution through German princes who sided with Luther. Finally, who is to say that God does not ordain other forms of government at different times to fulfill His purposes? Some Traditionalists criticize the American Republic for various reasons. OK, well, what about the Roman Republic? What is the justification for opposing that (other than some individual issues in the Twelve Tables of the Roman Law)? If we did not have the Roman Republic, we would have not later had the Roman Empire. If we did not have the Roman Empire, Jesus would have never been crucified, would have never Resurrected, and we would not have had Christianity spread through Europe on the roads and ships that the Romans built. Now, that being said, you heard this from a Trad Catholic. A Trad Catholic who is sympathetic to the TFP. I also have a background in Social Science, which means government, economics, history, and related subjects. Let's talk fascism. How is it defined economically? Fascism is the control of the means of production and distribution without outright ownership, usually through government-corporate partnerships. So a lot of what you and society do not recognize as fascism is, economically speaking, fascism. For example, Obamacare is fascism. It is a system of government control over the health insurance industry while, through state-run market exchanges, sets up a system of cooperation with health insurance providers. The term fascism comes from the ancient Roman ceremonial battleaxe, the fasces, which is an axe surrounded by reeds. It was a symbol of Roman, and later Italian, strength. Mussolini's Fascist Party was an outgrowth of the Italian Socialist Party. A lot of it's manifesto reads like the Democratic Party platform. There is support for old age pensions, an eight hour workday, a minimum wage, "progressive" taxation, universal suffrage (including voting rights for women), and government involvement, through national councils, in labor, transporation, communication, and "social hygiene". In other words, fascism is the kissing cousin of socialism and belongs on the political left, it's militarism and nationalism notwithstanding. On a true political spectrum, government goes from 100% control (on the far left, where Communism, Nazism, socialism, and fascism are), to 0% on the far right (where anarchy is). What is in the middle is limited government, best found in a constitutional republic (NOT a democracy, but that is a different story). This is a much more logical, reasonable, and simpler take on different forms of government, rather than the mess that is commonly used. It is simply reasonable to state that economic control of a society by government leads to political control. If a government does not have significant control over an economy, if most of that is left to private ownership, and the government merely acts as referee, then it is less likely to be dictatorial. Now, on a personal note, in regards to a previous video you had on not watching TFP videos, which I had responded to, but for which further comments are now on hold, why should I contact your cardinal to complain about you? Your expectation of me doing that comes from exactly the kind of leftist thinking that that is what should be done. No, I am a Traditional Catholic and a free market thinker. I believe in freedom. I believe in people having the freedom to put out their own views, as long as they are not calling for criminal or other illegal acts to be done. Reporting people is the thing leftists do. About Jesus being carried out on a luggage cart, why didn't I stop it by going to the local bishop? Well, it's a little hard to do that when I am in their weird, New Agey quiet room and, suddenly, they are carting out Jesus right before my eyes. Nothing to do in that moment but film and send it to TFP. Ummm...and just one more thing. Like I said, the idea of having a monarchy here in the U.S. is a fantasy (although returning to being a constitutional republic seems to be also an increasing impossibility with our descent into madness and socialism). But, in all brutal honesty (how shall I say this), you don't exactly project a Rambo image. 😂😂😂
