A lift/elevator filmer from Singapore.
All lifts I film are traction unless I state that they're hydraulic. They're also all in Singapore unless I state otherwise.

1998 Schindler M-Line Lifts - Block 20 Ayer Rajah Crescent

8 May 2024 This building was opened around July 1999, with 5 passenger lifts and 7 cargo lifts. In the early 2020s, JTC walled off 3 of the cargo lifts and decommissioned 2, leaving just 2 cargo lifts (D and E) working - on my visit lift E wasn't even working! It appears lifts A to C had their interiors refurbished, lifts M and L have the same reflective interiors as Block 28's passenger lifts....

17 Apr 2024 6 years later, the lifts here are still original with their rare coloured lanterns, M-line buttons and predoor! Maintenance has been handed back to Schindler too. ~Oct 2023 Just a quick ride filmed while I was working there. Outside fixtures are pretty standard across all service lifts in the complex, white lanterns and the fire lifts have indicators.

28 Apr 2024 Indicator has been fixed at some point since my last visit in August 2023. This is the last remaining lift that hasn't faced the recent mod, the last passenger lift will be done soon and then this one will go.

28 Apr 2024 The fire lift goes all the way down to B3, for a total of 16 floors! But I didn't risk going down in case the lift stopped at 1, as it opens right in front of security. I also can't be sure the basement lobbies don't have cameras. The other lift is smaller and doesn't serve the basement carpark floors, not great considering most people living in this area drive.

These rare TVC chimes and voice announcements had not seen there in SG because it was rare.
Can, enter the building and turn right, lifts are behind a glass door. Just don't stay at the first floor as reception can see you.

In Australia, we don’t have many original Schindler M Series lifts
Sounds like a truck hydraulic brakes.
Turns out these are XFSN, probably the only ones in Singapore to have this model, as they are usually installed in Vietnam.

The M-Series installations that had the most character was at the former Jurong Entertainment Centre. I always remember riding them, especially the larger ones, just to watch the rush of the doors closing.
The same lift that trapped someone got modded by otis. Prob having issues so they modded it and leave other one untouched
