just what I needed, thx!
Great video! This weekend I am about to change the exhaust system of my MT07, what I am a bit worry is about the Exhaust Studs, I do not have a dynamometer, so I can't tight them up with the optimal pressure, so I need to do it manually, so my question is, should I give it like an inch or so after I feel the stud tight enough? I don't want to overtight them, but either have them very loosen...
I can see how that will come in handy. And I suppose once “unlocked” the stud remover will be easy to remove from the stud.
Great video - thanks! You are one of the few who mentioned the adjustment at the engine too, which was key for me in getting mine sorted.
Glad it helped!
Which fuel is used in your country
I have a 86 Honda 450sc with tires from 05 still running them☠️
Nice!
Great video. Clear instructions and visuals of the procedure. I was completely bamboozled before I found your video! 😵💫 Thanks!!
Great to hear!
Nice setup. Do you need a ECU flash for this exhaust?
Ya, that would be a good idea.
Thanks to you I didn't have to fork out $100 in labour fees. Although it took me a little more time than your video. May I ask what is the red jello you put on? Is it lube or some sort of anti rust? I put on some WD40 to remove the slight squeaky sound.
Do I need a center stand too or can I just use the rear stand?
Just a rear stand works fine.
10 out of 10 perfect.....😎
Thanks!
And it only costs you an arm and a leg😂
Simple, but very usefull. Thanks man.
I have been looking at that one myself price is not a factor I own A Mac and Milwaukee stubby 3/8 so it’s more of a thing to have then a thing I need
*AND…* they make a great roach clip.
This crackhead put my chain too tight! I drove about 12 miles with it super tight. Do you think I caused any permanent damage? 2019 Kawasaki Versys 1000… just bought this damn bike can’t even enjoy it, all the motorcycle shops are too busy to work on it. Don’t wanna leave it there for two weeks. I’m out here in the Smoky Mountains. Just want to enjoy the summer! So aggravating.
I'd say do a proper adjustment and see. I'll bet it's ok.
@@motomecha530 yea it was fine. I have a habit of catastrophizing every time something goes slightly wrong. It’s from growing up in a crazy household as a kid.
should you replace both tires or you can do just rear tire when front is tire tread is still a bit thick? I have soft compound tires now on my mt07 and its not old tires yet
Ya, that's ok and common. A lot of times people go through two rear tires for one front tire.
Simple pre ride checks would alert the rider to that. Poor maintenance..no excuse really.
Do you happen to have the links for both kits? Wanna do that for my 2015 700! Thanks so much! Love your channel!
I'm looking but I think I go it from an online seller from over seas. I'll keep looking...
I apply some silicone lube around the fork tubes with cloth, then I compress the forks a couple of times which pushes the dirt out and wipe it off with dry cloth.
My poor rear tire is a slick and my front tire looks like a dry lake bed.
After I had my front tire changed out I put my wheel back on and now when I hit the front brakes I get a pulsing feel like it grabs for a half second then lessens for a half second. Any idea what it could be? Maybe my brake pads aren’t set right?
Did one of the rotors get bent somehow?
@@motomecha530 that’s what I’m wondering maybe they bent the rotor or dropped the rim when they were changing the tire. I’m going to have to take it back off and have a look at it all. You are San Diego based correct? I’m in La Mesa.
Anyone else have an issue where the midpipe fits too loose on the y/splitter? It’s not on backwards, everything lines up properly but no matter how tight I get that clamp the midpipe is loose on the splitter. Far too loose for provided firegum/rtv to make up for the gap. Worried I might’ve got a wrong/defective part
hmm, take pictures and contact the manufacturer. sounds like its missing a gasket.
No more running lose chains
Whole new motor...or just the clutch cover 😂
That's what I was thinking, those cases can be replaced
What kind of bike is it?
Cracked the case on my 400ex. I run a chain saver now.
It looks like the links of the chain further down are kinked up to like it has not been properly lubricated and cleaned either.
They're not called "case savers" for nothing.
My bike just did the same thing
How did you remove the pin that comes stuck under the footpeg I always scrape in the twistys
it should unscrew
@@motomecha530 I tried unscrewing it but I couldn’t get it off it’s on there pretty good 😂😂
Milwaukee all day in power tools
My bolt that attaches it to the frame is completely rusted its like the bolt and the threads on the frame have rusted together
Can you use this style on 530 chain? I'm not sure what size chain you were working with in this video.
Most big bikes are 530
The larger diameter o ring that is thinner, what does it go to? I notice you didn't use it. Is it for a different setup? Perhaps the o ring it replaced wasn't bad and so you just didn't put the new one in? I can't find any information from they who sell the rebuild kits, as to what the parts are to where they go. Awesome video! Very helpful, Thank you so much.
Awesome dude! Congrats on the upgrade!
Will more clutch freeplay reduce mileage?
Sorry to say someone gave me a set. The didn’t last 6 months. Floppy
Hi, I just got my ninja 400. Is there any other maintenance I should look for besides oil changes, and cleaning of the chain
1. Make sure your chain tension or slack is in spec every time you clean and lube your chain. Correct spec should be written in the bike's manual, and adjust when needed. 2. Spark plug condition and gap should be checked. Correct gap and service intervals are in the manual. 3. Air filter must be cleaned and replaced when needed. Check manual. There are many other maintenance items for any bike. Read the owner's manual.
1,6 mm mindest Profiltiefe.
I would like to see a dino before and after.
I have a 2012 fz8 that i dropped need new but cant figure out how to replace pegs
My owners manual says 10 years
Hmm, interesting. What bike?

Do you have to take the tank off
absolutely not, it just makes it a little easier but not worth it in my opinion...mechanics like to do a lot of "extra work" just for the actual job to be even slightly easier cause they can bill the "extra work" from the customer...
not necessarily, tho it only takes about 2. minutes to remove the tank, making my job way easier.
It's amazing all the money we spend on gear and the thought that goes into buying tires but we never even think of suspension.
Just changed my back tire this afternoon... what a lovely pain in the ass it was
Do conventional motorcycles have 100k mile lifespan? Or is this number over zealous? I mean just with regular oil changes.
I believe any bike can last 100k with proper maintenance and not redlining the bike everywhere like and idiot.
