Noooooo stop it now. I am meant to be working on my Children's Stories content for my channel, but being distracted but fabulous festive videos like this!!!! 😇
Oh, 13 minutes of your time won’t hurt! Merry Christmas and thanks for watching!
what's with the repetitive muzak....
Free music can be limited- especially Christmas music. I had a great little soundtrack, but it got dinged for copyright (even though it was on a free site), so I had to replace it. Infuriating.
London is totally addictive at Christmas, can't beat it!
💯
noise music
I’ll go to a Barry Manilow pub for you next, mate.
Great video and nice touch finishing with The Emirates Stadium - A touch of class! Up The Gunners 💯⚽️💥🏴
Thanks! Even better inside 🏟️
Very nice! I liked all of them. I can't wait to move there.
I hope you get as much out of moving here as I did.
The entire London is my favourite dude.
Good answer! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
To everyone who deosnt know London, this guy is referring to when he was in his 30s. This isnt the coolest area anymore. Maybe it was in 2000. Now that title goes to Shoreditch. He's not even English. It's a commercial area, full of media companies and ad agencies. So equivalent to Madison Avenue in NY.
Still cool. Nice pubs, record shops and galleries sprinkled all over! Thanks for watching.
We are going over next week from Northern California! Can't wait and thank you for your tips, we are going to Covent Gardens and Trafalgar square for sure, and I also want to see Fortnum and Mason Department store!
Excellent! I’m doing a department store and High Street Christmas episode in a few weeks. Fortnum is beautiful. Make sure you stop at Herrod’s too!
Thank you for a great video!
Thank you for watching, and Merry Christmas!🎅🏼
Subscribed. Living in London and will check out some of these market. Merry Christmas 🍾
Très sympa cette balade de Noël dans les rues de Londres.
Merci beaucoup, mate
Thanks, noted everything, we are going in 3 weeks
Sweet! I’m also putting out a Winter Wonderland carnival video this week. Make sure you catch that one, and have fun!
What a great video, thank you!!❤
Thank you for watching! Cheers 🎄
Pub fish and chips are never as good as from a chippy.
I think it matters where you go in both cases. But the intended point was food better at chippy, atmosphere better at pub. Thanks for watching!
Never have a full English anywhere they put greenery on it.
Yeah. They unnecessarily poshed it up! Lol
❤❤❤
🎄🎄🎄🎄
I've been watching these videos, and I have to say, really enjoying them. Imo the most entertaining travel channel I've seen on youtube so far, you can feel the excitement.
Wow, that’s really nice. I love reading comments like this. Thanks mate!
It's just overkill! I mean who the hell wants to walk about bloody freezing, maybe get mugged, hypothermia or frostbite, just to get fleeced with these markets? I will buy a big issue and give a few bob extra to those less fortunate than me! Get back to true Christmas values, makes you feel better!
I don’t agree with everything you said Ronald, but as I do every year, helping the less fortunate is a given at this time of year.
Great and fun Fogg coverage! Lost in the Fogg!
Indeed! Thanks for watching 🍻
You have such a hard life Dave! 😄 I'm sure some people have moaned about the Yorkshire pudding on a pork roast but I think all roasts should have them. And a full English definitely needs hash browns on the plate!
Right on the nose again!
I am going next week from the US ! I am so excited !
Wonderful. You’ll get to catch some markets that were not up yet at the time of filming, like Camden and King’s Cross.
Enjoy! I love London, it’s magical and so incredibly historic, I go whenever I can. Don’t listen to all the naysayers!
Markets by the river Thames is captivating, one can look over across the river the tower bridge, gazing at you ,it's beautiful spot to eat something as well as to have the view of river, breathing the breeze which is fresh and calming.its preparation before hand of Christmas, and in this cold weather it's good way to feel warm by strolling round many markets. The Spitalfield I think is far more interesting.but it's beautiful video, you are looking great
Many thanks, as usual for your kind comments
As a Londoner I would clarify your statement for overseas visitors, "There is nothing more magical than Christmas in London." You are quite correct in that the BUILD UP to Christmas from early November is magical but actual Christmas .... Christmas Day & Boxing Day & the following few days are dull, dreadful & boring. Transport does not move on Christmas Day with Boxing Day limited services. Plus virtually all overland railway lines into/out of London do engineering works Dec. 24th to Jan. 1st so it is almost impossible to get into London. In fact this festive season is the worst ever for closed down rail services due to works. So in short do NOT plan a visit to London for actual Christmas - it is awful.
I haven’t experienced this yet. And my parents are coming Christmas week. I’ll tell you how it goes. Thanks for watching.
How about people just watching and enjoying the video without the cobblers critique. Don’t like it= don’t watch it…
Actually, Bob, all interactions help the channel, so I welcome every comment- no matter how rubbish 😂
We're a Christian country pal. Two days without mass consumerism isn't going to kill you,
Have to agree particularly the time between Christmas Day and around January 10th - the time of year I least like in London. Yes, the build up period is great 😊
🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅
I think I'll stay at home and save money. 😀 If you have any interest in the old London docks you can find some vids on YT. Also, there is The Pool of London 1951 movie (available on DVD) that shows the old docks. Especially interesting are the views around Shad Thames, Tower Bridge and Pickle Herring Street where the former City Hall is.
I’ll look into it!
I am hooked on your videos. Bit biased as I was born and raised in London now living in Canada it is a great intriguing city
Thank you! That means a lot to me. Cheers, mate
No....
😂😂 Actually pretty good for Beatles fans.
You sir are a wally.
That doesn’t sound like a compliment.
@@StarstruckByLondon It wasn't' You need to find another line of work.
Thanks for watching, mate.
waiting for the christmas video! <3
Should be up next Wednesday
@StarstruckByLondon ❤️
It’s up. Hope you can catch it
"London, the hub of English football," yes, in relation to teams situated in a geographical area. But in relation to success-actually winning trophies (Premier League, FA and League Cups, and European/Champions League and other Euro club competitions)-it's the North West of England above all other parts of England and the rest of the UK. Liverpool-Manchester. Of course, And outside of the Northwest. Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest in the West and East Midlands around 40 years ago. The most successful British team in European club competition is Liverpool, with 6 titles, as well as the most English League Cups, with 10 titles. The most successful English Premier League team is Manchester United, with 20 titles. So although there are more clubs in Greater London, and Arsenal and Tottenham have the most modern stadiums, it obviously doesn't mean they are successful by a long way.
Thanks for watching. In hindsight, I would have worded that differently to highlight the concentration of teams, more than the success.
I once had the worst bacon sandwich I've ever had in my life at the Millwall Cafe
Lol. Good thing I went with the shrimp 🍤
That was where I met the guy with the Pith Helmet, thanks for the snippet.
Look forward to your Christmas vid!
Cool. Should be out next Wednesday.
You did no go to Bromley in the London borough of Bromley
Check this video out, mate. Made up for it. ruclips.net/video/sjGxLGIdgqI/видео.html
hey Dave.... even us Hong Kong folks know Bromley is in South East London :-)
Worth the visit either way!
You'll have to get out of your comfort zone ( London ) and travel up to Lancashire to find proper football , Lancashire home to probably 75 % of all trophies won in history
Couldn’t agree with you more. But this is the first year of the channel, so I’m banging out London content for now. A visit to Lancashire is inevitable. Thanks for watching.
Definitive answer as someone who was born in the borough. Technically yes, Bromley is London. It's one of the thirty two boroughs. If you live there and want to sound posher, it's often referred to as Kent. It was previously a part of Kent before the GLC etc.
You I trust! So not a wasted trip 👍
@@StarstruckByLondon Pals of my parents live about 200 yards up the road. I know the spot well.
Had no idea what a Lime Bike was until I looked it up. One lives and learns.
Between here and Hong Kong, I haven’t owned a car in 10 years. Lime bikes are a godsend here.
Well done. To be fair I grew up nearby and watched them a lot as a child when Palace weren't playing. Haven't lived in the south east for over thirty years and had no idea when your video came out that Bromley are now a league team. Delighted for them. Always a good club.
I'm turned OFF by the way americans use the knife and fork.
I’m kind of shocked at all the comments about my forkwork, TBH. I’ll look into it. Not trying to offend, for sure.
Need to try all those pies. Shepherds, cottage, pastry, doesn’t matter. I like them all.
It’s on the list, for sure. You can do Barrowboy and Borough market the same day.
Why is it so hard to hold a fork properly?
57 years of American upbringing, mate.
No hash browns. Try a chicken dhansak madras hot😂😂
Hashbrowns forever!
Chicken tikka masala originated in Glasgow, Scotland not England. Scotch egg was originally made at Fortnum & Mason in 1738 as a snack for travellers on the horse drawn coach. As an American you would know it is rude and disrespectful to wear a hat indoors wether it was just for filming or not
Thanks for watching. Your comments are noted.
Sorry that you didn’t research table manners you really should remove your hat when going indoors especially when you eat
Only on for filming, mate. Thanks for watching.
Don't buy fish and chips in a pub, go to a chippy. Same for Indian food, also don't buy Chicken Tikka Masala, it may now be the "national dish" but that's only because it's so bland, be more adventurous. Greggs for a sausage rolls, no worries, but for fucks sake get out of London, I wish the politicians would too. New London railway? No problem, a decent upgrade to railways in the north, Wales or Northern Ireland, too expensive, yes you all pay taxes but that's for London, cos that's where the posh people live, and if you work things out the way we prefer, all profits exist in London, cos that's where we have headquarters and stock markets, so that's where all the tax money. museums and culture have to go, not because that's where royalty and all their sycophants and hangers on live. Little bit of polotics
A little bit of politics?! Lol. I do go to chippies often, but likely the reason I handled the Indian food so well was because it was bland! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
@@StarstruckByLondon I really wasn't expecting any attetion to my comment, never mind an honest reply from the originator. Thank you very much. Also, I think everyone who lives in the UK would understand my "little bit of polotics". We all pay taxes, but the goverment pays out excessively to London as it is calculated that profits are generated there, because that is where headquarters and stocks are held. Hey, it doesn't matter how much you guys in Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle produce, the profits are at the headquarters, so boohoo you.
Charlton the best team ever big fan
I loved the Valley. I need to see a match there.
Greggs is the best 😂😂😂. That's like saying McDonald's makes the best burger or Hershey makes the best chocolate.
Just had to confirm it, LOL
Stop with the London thing, you can get a full English over the rest of the country, and cheaper, but make sure you don’t have any hash browns.
You do realize the video is titled “Top 10 Must Try BRITISH Eats”, right?
Seems that this is another American who only thinks the countries in Great Britain (England, Scotland & Wales) and The United Kingdom ( England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) only consist of London
Thanks for watching.
