Snap-On Impact Driver Battery Repair/Cell replacement
Wows about time we had another positive fix video / they’re great 🎉🎉🎉
Hello, where do you buy the gasket, do you have any tips?
I just did a search online, they came from Germany
Thank you! I followed your repair video and was able to fix my machine too.
Grazie stavo impazzendo e non capivo come mai si riempie sempre la vaschetta 😅 oggi ho smontato la macchina e ho sostituito gommini grazie ancora sei 🔝
Did they solve the issue on the v2 version of this boot dryer, so it will not fail like the v1’s?
I wasn’t aware that there was a V2 of this dryer.
@@positivefixSold as Therm-IC brand there is v1 and v2 version. Mine failed after only eight ski vacations of use. I wonder since i see current version called v2, maybe they fixed the issue with better component. Did you use exactly same spec replacement? I can’t find exact same temp and amp value.
@@ACPilotI couldn’t find the same value from any UK based support, I had to buy from China, but used the same value both temp and amperage
I've bought two thermic refreshers v2 in feb 2024. First one started to blow cold air after one week of use, 2nd failed after 16 usages.
Hello teacher, I have a problem with the espresso machine (capsule). The steam comes out densely before the water, and then the water comes out. What is the problem?
Can i ask what size are the screws on the back panel?
What type srew dive to you need to take out the srews in battery
It’s a T10 Torx if I remember correctly, unfortunately I no longer have this tool so am unable to check
This seems a critical O-ring. I replaced it on our Dinamica and it cured the problem. Thanks for the tip.
Can you share what the size of the surrounds are you bought, and where you bought them from, please?
I love you! Your the best! Struggle for a while but you have the solution. And it cost me nothing because I had a O ring. I'm so happy! Thank again!😅
Wow, this simple O-ring, makes the difference ! Thank you #PositiveFix you really did a great job.
I'm glad you found it interesting
You can review your multimeter
I use 2 meters in this video, which meter are you referring to?
Large screen meter
Could you share a link to the 'O' ring kit please?
Please stop saying, em em em, so annoying
This one one of my first videos and still on a learning curve, I tend not to do that now 😂
After stripping the coffee maker, I found my o ring set had none of the right sizes. It looks like you need 1.5mm o rings in the following sizes (od.id): 7x4, 8x5, 21x18, 9.5x6.5, 14.5x11.5. However this is from measuring with calipers, not a spec sheet so may be wrong.
good video. Green attitude ! With 10mn more you can remove the complete infuser, and clean it deeply. This part is the same on an magnifica S. The most difficult in this repair is to find torx with center pin, and replug some pipe
Thank you so much. You saved me a minimum ~$300 service charge or even a new machine. $20 variety silicone O-Ring kit off Amazon worked just fine; I just eyeballed them for fit. Fantastic explanation - I would have never found that little screw cap thing that popped off if you hadn't mentioned what that was. Found the spring around 10 feet away on the floor.
So glad my video is saving people money and also keeping these machines out of landfill.
4:06, on the top of the slider, there is an hole with a spring, and little ball. These parts allow the slider to stay in position. But in reality, it's not absolutely necessary. The spring and ball are installed at 15;35
It worked great!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much. That oring in my machine was not broken but it had weared out. A new one did the job
I'm glad my video helped fix the issue for you. Please subscribe for more useful repair videos and like this video if it helped you.

Hello. Thanks for video. I just bought thermic boot dryer uv version. Blue cokor. After five use it doesnt work. Now i try to understand what happened, when i open inside, one of white color porcelene looks crack in aluminoum part. Can i send you photo, and help to me please. Because i am in turkey and i cant find any services for this
Feel free to send a picture to the email address in my channel - PositiveFixContact@gmail.com
Thank you so much. I have just successfully repaired my Therm-IC boot dryer after following your instructions. I ordered a pack of 5 thermal fuses for £10 on eBay, from Poland, plus some heat-shrink tubing. This was the second dryer to fail - I wish I had known about this fix for the first one!
Thanks for the video! it was of great help to disassemble the control, but now I think I broke it putting it all back together, maybe you can give me a hint? . After I finished assembling back the control and plugged it to the usb cable to charge the new battery, the control's power button started to blink five times, one of the vibration motors starts, and then it stops, to start again a couple of seconds later. I disassembled again the control and disconnected the new battery, but the issue persists, so I probably did something wrong when putting it back together the first time, or worse, I broke it. Do you have any idea of what could be wrong? Thanks in advance!
I don’t have any idea what could be causing your issue. However, I would check that no cables have been trapped and pinched during re-assembly, I’d also check that the ribbon cables are seated correctly.
Does anyone know definitively the size of the O ring that you need to replace? I have seen multiple videos, but not a specific size. I have heard 6x1 and 6x1, 5. Not exactly sure where to find it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You for help!
I hope you managed to fix yours 😊
I've just done this, and while the machine now works (thanks very much!) I have 2 extra screws so I'm gonna have to go back in
If it’s working then I won’t worry about it 😂, I call those ‘pocket screws’ because when you’re done and realise you have screws left, just put them your pocket!
Thank you for this. Everything I need to know. I was just looking at mine and was hoping a couple of AA’s would suffice. What a ball ache! Why couldn’t they just put a battery port on the rear panel for replacements? It looks like I won’t be playing games this New Year’s Eve and I’ll have to watch TV 🥱. I’ll order a battery and find myself half an hour of quiet time to sort it.
Finally fixed thank you, one o ring I missed after a week of changing the others 😊
Glad it helped
I struggled for weeks trying to find a solution for this issue. Replaced various parts of the machine to no avail until I found this video. Replacing this tiny o-ring finally solved my problem. Thank you, you are a star!!
Glad I could help
Thanks for making this video. I have the same machine and the same problem. Except I’ve noticed a blown resistor on the circuit board behind the 3 green buttons. Next to the glass fuse on the board. Problem I have is I dont know which resistor value it is as the colour bands have all burnt. Would you know by any chance? I can send you an email with photos if you could identify for me that would be amazing!!. Considering this age machine are now obsolete with no schematics or pictures of the circuit board to be found anywhere on the net. It’s hard work. I don’t mind compensating you for your time either. Many thanks in advance. 🤞🏻👍🏻
I can take a look and see if I can help with the resistor value. My email address is in the ‘About’ page. There is also a company that sells parts for these machines and could potentially supply a complete circuit board. Drop me an email with pictures and I’ll help where I can, might even get another video out of it 😊
Uhmmmmmm
Hello..Nice video...please whats type baterry?18650 liion???Thanks..
It is an 18650 Li-ion, purchased from this link: bestbattery.biz/Nvidia-Shield-P2570-Controller-Battery-LC18650-CS-NSP257SL.html
How do you remove the main board with all those white ribbon power cable connectors and those other power connectors that have a wire wrapped around a pin I'm really struggling to repair one of these it's so frustrating, I'd like to get this board off and put the rest to the side while I fix the board
What fault do you have? My advice at this time is to buy any unrepairable Onkyo receiver from this era for £20 and start disassembling it. You will find the connectors are ridiculous in function and purpose, only yo find the wirse are soldered to the board also! The wafer this ribbon cables will pull out. You can then wipe and reseat - which can on occasion fix some faults. Removing boards on these awful receivers is labour and skill intensive because of the (deliberate?) way there are assembled. 90% of the faults with these receivers is 'no sound' and 'relay failure'. For the no sound problem there are tips online - including heating the DSP chip For 'flashing red light', 'wont turn on' from standby you will have to remove the main transformer - remove the multi core wires by carefully unclipping the awful white connector blocks as you go further. The raly can be bought for £3 - but fitting it is another matter. Iv been working on these units for 12 months and have never had the need to disassemble anything else but the main power brick - mainly because its just not worth the hassle. If its just for enthusiasm and a your hobby I apologise - read on.. I bought many of these as a learning curve hobby after my 605 failed (I cant remeber why) but I ended up repairing 2 x SR606, 3 x SR608, an SR609, an SR414 and an NR515 (which I am using at the moment) and Im waiting on another SR608 tomorrow which has wont turn on from standby. Get a beaten up one to tear down. The connectors are bizarre and of differing builds. Usually though you would find the 2 clips and push in whilst pulling etc
i re-built mine with rubber surrounds. also had to do the tweeters with silk dome motors. lovely speakers got mine from the same guy, great resource
I have a set of Leak 3050 speakers that need the surrounds replacing as well but I’m struggling to find the correct size in foam or rubber! 😞
@@positivefix how close to the correct dimensions can you find escarpments?
@@laughlan22 I can get rubber surrounds that would do the job almost perfect, they would nee to be stuck to the top of the cone rather than the bottom. however I would rather use foam surrounds as that's the original spec. I might order a single runner surround and see how well it fits.
Bonjour , j’aimerais si possible avoir la valeur du composent et sa valeur .Merci..jp
Bonjour j’aimerais savoir le nom du composent et sa valeur merci
The component that failed was a voltage regulator, I do not know the value unfortunately, I simply used the part number that was on the old component to find a replacement that matched
Thanks. Managed to repair mine which I thought were bin fodder :-)
Great news, glad the video helped keep them out of the Landfill :)
Hello, do you know what temperature is the thermal fuse for? I can’t recognise the value on thermal fuse in my device. Thanks!
It’s 135 degrees 3A. Printing on the fuse is: AUPO 135 P5-3A-F250V Hope this helps you.
Do you have a part number or link to the service kit?
It was purchased from eBay and came from Germany, quick deliver though: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304660115367?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=AQmADgC_SHO&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=teEjHMJcQkW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@positivefix Hey that link appears to now be dead, would you happen to know another place or the part info? thanks
Love this channel.- so informative and interesting as we experience the tear down and repair with you, making mistakes along the way - very real.
Great video! Appreciate the detail. This helped me out. Cheers
I’m glad it helped
Hmmmm it appears he doesn’t reply to questions , what a shame , wish I new which Acronis true image was used..
My apologies JOGO but I have not seen any question from you, I do try and respond to any and all questions however, sometimes it is not immediate and can take some time. As for wanting to know which Acronis True Image was used, do you mean which version? Any version should work, some drives come with the clone software for free included in the packaging
1 minute boot for the ol' Verus Pro. That is superb time!
It certainly is, the original time with the spinning HHD was pretty good too but with the SSD it’s impressive.
Great video! Love the step by step approach. Couldn't find another video specifically for the Gen 1 controller. As other comments have mentioned, all for the newer version which is a much simpler replacement. I ended up taping the buttons in place to avoid a severe psychotic break and immediate destruction of the controller. Don't know how you got those ribbon cables back in place with the buttons loose. You must have the hands of a surgeon and the patience of a saint! Thanks for the battery link. It still works and the company are great. Have now bought other batteries from them too!
Hi where do you purchase the replacement cells from please?
Thanks for the comment, the Cell pack was purchased from eBay and came as you see it in the video. if you have the model number for the tool then search eBay and chances are there will be someone who makes these Cell Packs up, or offer a service to send them your battery and they will replace it and send it back.
Awesome! Best video about this dryers <3
Hello friend congratulations for this informative video. A question? What is the length x width of the blackboard or playing area? And the wood that forms the railings or bands, what is the length x width? I hope you read my comment greetings from Honduras.
I’m not sure of the exact l measurement but the table is a 6x4 ft table
Great video … Did not even know this could be done - a top positive fix 👍 Looking forward to your next MacBook repair video …
Would have been nice to know what screw driver bit I needed when I recieve battery to replace. Now I have battery and cant unscrew lol
My apologies, I have just checked and the screwdriver used was a T6 Torx, 2 of the screws will need a long reach driver which I'm sure I mention in the video.
@@positivefix yes figured it out and video help I changed battery all is good
Did you ever make that second video updating to Windows 7? Thanks!
This is still on my "To-Do" list, I rarely use the Verus so I keep putting it off. I will do my best to get it done as soon as I can.
@@positivefix thanks for the reply. Will be looking out for it.
