Hello friend congratulations for this informative video. A question? What is the length x width of the blackboard or playing area? And the wood that forms the railings or bands, what is the length x width? I hope you read my comment greetings from Honduras.

Here in the UK there are places that sell replacement slate. I believe you are in the United States so I am unable to advise other than do a search online for Table repair company's and maybe check eBay.

I used a strong Tar and Glue removal solution but even that was a lengthy process and tedious work, I left the solution on which softened the glue and then used a wallpaper scraper. I believe the caretaker who stripped the other table used a rotary wire wheel on a drill, do be very careful if using a wire wheel as if you use too much pressure you dam damage and scratch the slate. Any bad or deep scratches can be filled with normal poly filler

Only just realised this comment was here. I used a wire wheel on a drill, being careful not to apply too much pressure and damage the slate.

Brake cleaner and a sharp blade does a good job of getting it off.
