This was from the movie, Jailhouse Rock. After his moves in this movie and some of his live shows, when he was on television they only filmed him from the waist up. They called him Elvis the pelvis.

Ha ha. No music videos back then, no MTV, so if it weren't for the films, we would not have this. Eventually he grew very tired of the films that he was contracted to fulfill by his manager, the infamous Col Tom Parker, a Dutchman, and not actually a Colonel! Thanks again, keep 'em coming!

He LOVED American youth and was their icon versus the SOCIAL ELITES, the older generation. I think young people today appreciate Elvis for his rebellious actions. He was HUGE proponent of the YOUTH revolution and the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT of the 1950s and 60s. And he paid black talent HUGE sums of money and even hired them during an era where black talent WAS NOT GETTING PAID for their work.
