Question. Does the emergency generator and the main generators have low oil level and low oil pressure cut off switches that can be disabled during major storms so if the ship gets at a big angle it does not shut off the generators . I have thought oil accumulators could be used with check valves that the fill check valve has a restriction so on start it does not take the major flow of the pump starving the bearings. But there is no restriction on the discharge check valve. So loss of oil flow from the pump is instantly made up by the accumulator.

Mmm may be specify a two port flywheel housing next time good to see it works 😊

brother, prior to bunkering, do you really need to go to bunker barge to check their initial sounding / flowmtre and temperature? some say need to go. Some say no need, its risky. climbing up/down pilot ladder dangerous. not all ship has basket thing

i see u in steering gear room, we normally dont do that. from bridge they start the hydraulic motor. we only check telegraph and blow through. rest are same like u have shown

i thought thats a job for electrical engineer (E/E). myself also 4/E. but not comfortable with electrical part.
