I got into WT in 2015 when the ground forces were fresh & the game was limited to WW2 era vehicles. I atopped playing within a few months because of 2 primary reasons: 1. The patches were too frequent and I hated the fact that all game files were checked EVERY SINGLE TIME I launched the game. 2. Spawn camping in sim battles... no comments here Later I got to know about the infinite grind, paid bushes that gave advantage in game - a clear P2W feature I'm happy I stayed out

You simply played it wrong

People know where you spawn can hide can see you when your a single pixel and generally it's never fair unfortunately

Balancing cas is very easy increase spawn cost and/or take off from runway. Here are the problems with this two solution: First if spawn cost increases too much there is no way for losing ground side to call upon something to change the tide of battle maybe. And second problem is the matches are very short and if they make traveling distance too far they have little to no effect 😂😂😂😂

and you match with vehicle's that are around the same level as your own... me in my jumbo with 75 mill vs a 88 mill tiger II H :(

My dad gave me a premium account for my birthday because we play war thunder together and I love when I get that boost in silver lions but it also feels like a permanent 500% booster on my back. that or I have a massive skill issue.

My gameplan is to unlock all WW2 tanks and planes in the German tech tree got the tanks and I am at 5.3 with the planes got 3 jets

God, this game was a disappointment. On paper, it seems awesome: I like the idea of tinkering about the car on a regular basis, trading things, managing the inventory and even driving through long stretches of practically nothing. But boy oh boy they managed to turn every aspect of it unwieldy, finicky busywork. It's not boring, it's infuriating. And the worst of all is the driving model. The Laika just doesn't handle like an automobile. It feels like a sinking bumpercar in a funfair hit by a flood. And the bugs. My progress got corrupted twice and I had to start the entire game from the very start. There's a great idea for a game here, but the execution fails even as a proof of concept.

This game is my filler game. I don’t know why, but I always come back to this game. It’s my game between games or game I play to determine the next game I play.

You should know more about a game before you make a huge video with all these decisive opinions about it. I just started playing war thunder 2 weeeks ago, and a lot of the things you talk about i can tell you only have these opinions due to lack of playtime and knowledge. Premium is a major boost. You just didn’t have a good comparison clearly. With premium, I researched the tiger H in only 6 matches. Now this depends on bonuses at the time, outcome of matches and your performance. BUT without premium… forget it. Even with bonuses you would be at minimum double the time, but really 75% more time because of the the fact research and SL is doubled. You said it took you 500 hours to reach tier 2 and 3 in two different branches. That’s because your FTP. I am at tier 4 Germany, and tier 3 USA with 90 hours of playtime. 30 of which is probably just at the menus while watching YT. Not sure if the premium boost is just that awesome or your exaggerating the FTP experience but I have had premium since I started as my buddy recommended it.

I love playing coastal but it is something you have to get into it's just hilarious to me when this tiny baby launches 27 torpedoes at a battleship that can do literally nothing but cry in their sleep

word of warships gameplay works better ,is better,better graphic,way competitive,better function of each ship job.And i was warthunder player with over 500h. warthunder is a game trying to be "realistically" but the gameplay is bad implemented resulting in a frustrating failed game.

An idea; make AI and scatter them throughout the maps (like scattered in random spots) that the player can defend or choose not to. And as you go up in BR those AAA will have strict guided missiles, don’t know if smart but why not lol

Im just coming across this video. I have an American 2.7 lineup that has 3 tanks, an SPAA, and all 3 P-40s (yes including the twitch drop one). I can, quite often, get into a P-40 with bombs, and then kill enough things to get into a second and even third P-40 with bombs. All off of 2 starting kills in my M8 GMC (the one with the M3 75mm gun). It’s ridiculous how cheap CAS is.

Gaijin should add a limit to how many cas spawn

realistic ships are better then arcade. in arcade destroyers etc have unlimitied torpedo and that pretty unbalanced. Realistic is fun.

In my opinion (as a non cas player), taking off from the airfield is actually fun! (I like realism) The only time it’s not is when you’re using a bomber (frontline and strategic (think b-25s and b-17s)), and you need altitude, as it’s one of the best, and only good defenses against enemy fighters. But seriously, who’s going to be using a whole strategic bomber in a ground battle? Even then, frontline bombers can still maneuver a bit anyway.

i play sweden cas on 8.7 just to prove to anyone that cas is op my record for least effort to get a plane with 4 1000lb bombs and 2 rb24 air to air missle is 1 assist

Its a good game, it just needs more content. The let down is the abandonment of the game. Im sure you wouldve had a completely different mindset if the developers never abandoned the game and added some things. I still play the game often, but its a shame nothings been added since 2019

In my option AA at low trot is pointless to play because I lead the plane and end up only getting a hit. Maybe I’m doing it wrong though.

Coastalships are really fast compared to bigger ones, coastal ship battles are fun aswell imo

The pantsir clapping cheeks would only be a food thing if the pantsir was on voth sides and it isnt. Its taken the issue and just made one side more capable of exploiting it

Cas can be shot down by enemies' fighters

Easy solution: give all SPAA lead indicators, with lower tier spaa having larger and more generalized circles. The idea being that it gives you a rough idea of the general area to shoot. And make plane kills worth twice a tank kill.

Camping, is a tactic, used in real tank combat, and should be used in a REALISM based tank combat.

I prefer the customized controls, and just tick the simple driving, so I can use automatic gears but still have to operate everything else. You can also zoom out to a 3rd person view when walking around too. It does lack polish but it's the best option on console right now and the DLC is over priced (and the main reason I haven't bought any yet).

What I think would massively improve the viability of SPAA is if they added a way to switch vehicles without dying and respawning. If I see there's multiple aircraft up, I want to be able to spawn an SPAA, shoot them down, then switch back to my tank to continue the battle. Like, add a mechanic where if you J out at a spawn point it doesn't count as a death, like in air RB. Or maybe let players operate an SPAA in the same way you can operate recon drones

I wish they would add ground only rb. So tired of being bullied at spawn by smooth brain cas, while my team camp their spawn.

Man, I tried liking this game, I really did. However, I found the world to be pretty boring and bland overall. It seemed like there was even less environmental variety than in the first game. And the amount of times you're forced to go through the same areas got old really fast. I didn't vibe with the combat system either, so being forced into so many encounters just didn't work for me. Ah well. I'm glad other people are having fun with it, at least.

yeah you make a point. but in a tank only game it would make it harder to win if the enimy has more players. the true point of cas is to lower the amount of players. if the enemy has more tanks out use cas to lower it to lead into victory. irl this is how the allies won in ww2 my having more planes out. to lower germanys havy armor. with cas the muas would be deleted and is3 would be nearly unkillible. i agree cas is overpowered but the reason is its meant to be this way to turn a losing battle in to victory. and i do hate cas i just see it as a good way to help your allies also you can scout for your teammates. but we al know those nobrained peanut people. if you were in a t34 place in a hill in one of those mountain maps with a and enemy spawnn on sight. your unkillible untill you get bombed if you lazy and skipped this, in conclusing cas is a blancer made to dictate wins from loses
