Jerry Jeff Walker and The Lost Gonzo Band FULL CONCERT (Live) February 1975 - Chicago, IL
Просмотров 68821 день назад
Sets 1 and 2 live from Chicago Illinois in early February of 1975. What a series of performances from everyone! The 2nd set crowd was definitely rowdier and at one point a man yells out "I WANT FREEBIRD" at 02:14:25. In this recording you really get to hear how JJW could captivate an audience and how good of performer he actually was. RIP JJW. TIMESTAMPS Set 1 0:27 Desperado 08:40 London Homesi...

An amazing concert live from the Midnite Jamboree. The show consisted of 2 sets, an early and late one. The photo above is from the 1st set which I don't think was recorded. I love how you can hear individual voices from the crowd as it was a very small room. What a show! Here is a little history on how this footage came to be. Leon Russell, at the time one of the biggest rock acts in the world, sent his newly formed video company ShelterVision to Austin to shoot musicians in clubs and outdoors. ShelterVision's footage was edited into the Lone Star Cross Country Music Hour, a music series sponsored by Lone Star Beer that aimed to air on eleven Texas television s...

This is an amazing recording of Willie Nelson and Family live from Panther Hall in Ft. Worth TX. The show begins with Whiskey River and Stay All Night, and then Willie begins to introduce his band. Each band member does a song and Willie is obviously having fun because he acts as if it is a talent show. Stating that Bee Spears was the next contestant before he did his rendition of Okie From Mus...

Such is the depth of his repertoire that Willie Nelson had no trouble filling up two hours and 15 minutes on this July 1, 1976, broadcast from Dallas radio station KAFM-FM. With a little help from occasional guest vocalists Jody Payne and Bee Spears, as well as fellow outlaw David Allan Coe, and owner of the Longhorn Ballroom, Dewey Groom. He ran through material spanning from the beginning of ...

This is an amazing performance of the band in their prime from 1974 at the Texas Opry House. Each member has their own spotlight during the show at one point or another. Bobbie Nelson is no where to be seen in this footage - perhaps the only living man to know the answer on why she was absent that night is Willie himself. About half way through the show, Sammi Smith joins the band on stage for ...

Willie Nelson’s 1974 performance at KLRN wasn’t just a great concert. It was a historical moment. This was the pilot episode of Austin City Limits, a show that’s gone on to become a beloved American tradition. If you aren’t familiar with Willie Nelson’s music, this is a great concert to start with. If you’re a music fan, the birth of Austin City Limits should be an important date in your memory. It aired on 34 PBS stations back on March 22, 1975, and the pilot episode featured a 42-year-old Willie Nelson. The show’s been on ever since, and this pilot episode with Willie Nelson is a great place to start watching, if you’ve never seen it. If you’re a fan of country music or music in general, you’ll want to watch this video. It’s from 1975, the year Freddy Fender’s “Before the Next Teardrop Falls” hit number one, the king of western swing, Bob Wills, passed away, and Canada’s K.D. Lang wrote her first song at the age of 14. It was also the year the VHS tape was invented in Japan, and Captain & Tennille won a Grammy for “Love Will Keep Us Together.” And that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what was happening in music that year. The video is a performance on Austin City Limits by Willie Nelson, which later became the pilot episode of the series.👍

This is some peak 70s drunken shenanigans. My favorite scene is wasted Leon Russel introducing Doug Kershaw wearing that incredible suit killing it on the fiddle... while Leon Russel wanders around on stage. I hope this stays on RUclips, it's one of my favorite things to watch on the 4th.

I got lucky that night and got dropped off the next morning on the 35 feeder. Jumped the fence and my truck was right in the very center of the field was the last vehicle ever park there. Got to go to 8 picnics. Really enjoying listening to this one on the 4th !
