Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - Aerith vs Bahamut Arisen: Dynamic / Full-Might
Aerith goes SOLDER-mode and slays the dragon in 2 min 9 sec. Not quite "no damage", but close enough. Swapped out the 9999+ damage of the Gengi Glove out for the Fury Ring, inspired by @tboomgaming 's gameplay.

Is there a way to choose what the next spell cast in the ward hits?
I managed to do it for this fight by reselecting the target manually immedately after casting. But there's some other instances where I can't make it work
Make me appreciate how good the combat system is in rebirth. I gotta get some tips on these builds

There are no synergy skills when solo.
Damn I hope Square removes the that perfect block crap in the next game. And please stick to one play style, make it jrpg or action but the melding of the 2 isn’t working.
I agree this game is TOO focused on perfect blocking- it’s absolutely required too much rather than it being a helpful tool. But I love the jrpg action blend
Does anyone know his what camera options he’s using? Because every time I move I have to move the stick to see my target. It’s very annoying.
Click right joystick R3 to lock on to a target - it’s a must! I think all other camera settings are default

I think it's about practicing the blocking timing using R1
@@elwinbu5926 i tried, the timing feels quite off. or maybe im just that bad haha
usually enemies give you a visual cue, so you have to be patient and wait for that-- no dodging or attacking at that point. Like with bahamut, his first attack is very quick but he moves his leg and that tells you when its coming. And definitely use a mastered Precision Block materia!!
You have to learn each boss’s tell for their attacks. One you learn the patterns the timing is easy. And the precision defense materia helps a lot

After 30 tries on Odin, the other night I tried Aerith and started using her wards and while it was so hard to tell what was happening it rang me in a glorious victory.

I feel like Odin, as hard a boss as he is, is better as a solo fight, so the CPU can't imperfect block and cause Odin to instakill the team
His attacks are super procedural and generally speaking he has the worst range of just about any boss in the game. If he kills you with a spear abiility you were already dead. If not for Zantetsuken or Temporal Imprisonment or Repieval he'd be a joke

Amazing! How does Aerith dodge dash like that?
In Rebirth, whenever she stands on her blue Radiant Ward, she can dodge like that and can attack more powerfully! In Remake, that dodge came from Parry Materia

I actually don’t know how to set it to dynamic? playing on hard mode
@aerithancients you have to start chapter on any other difficulty and set it to dynamic from the menu (or just start the chapter on dynamic)

There’s a little weirdness transferring there gameplay from Remake to Rebirth, but I’d say that Aerith got BUFFED. Like a significant amount. The main thing being that if you block at the last second, you don’t take ANY damage. And for a squishy character like Aerith, that on its own would be a buff. And her revamped kit allows for a bit more mobility than she had in Remake. And the synergy stuff helps get party members out s of danger and it’s a very good addition.
