Basho FTW!

Not really, doing some practice rounds helps to get me warmed up. Then again, when I was grinding for S rank for the first time I did feel that way a bit but ever since it's just about enjoying the game, at least for me. The key is to not take each match so seriously and try to enjoy yourself. Hope that helps!

Seriously, it's very dependent on the scenario. Most of the time retreating like that seems to end in disaster.

You might be right. I never had the issue before and I hold it down to quickly deactivate AB when I need to. Old Rat Catcher habit lol. 😅

How'd you deal with Duckett's recoil on Basho arms? They don't really handle weapons with that much kick too well, even with Ocellus.

They are the best melee arms in the game. I might try a full corp setup, couldn't really do that here since BAWS has no dedicated shoulder options.

You really need to be up close to make any rapid fire weapon work on Basho arms.

Like the Pile Bunker, Slicer can just end builds quickly. I should know, I've been on its receiving end too many times lol. Oh man, AC1 Nineball was rough. I think I ran Karasawa, having heavy hitting weapons makes a huge difference. His pulse gun melts like crazy.

Is that right? Even then these meta names are so bizarre. I miss the basic "dual rifles" or "missile boat" naming schemes. The single Ransetsu RF is one of the only options I found the arms can handle for ranged skirmishes (I also wanted a BAWS weapon for the theme). I tried Harris and full auto weapons, but unless I was in their face 99% of the time I was just missing my shots.

@@dsaBOSS not even the Etsujin worked? I'm pretty sure you can throw that weapon on almost any build and it just works, truly an easy gun for RLF recruits. Harris is more for picking the perfect moment to send out a charged shot. but yeah it is true that this kind of stuff is played at a very close range. The Japanese are a bit uh, theatric with their mech naming schemes, lol. Couple of the recent meta builds are called "PowerBaka" and "TokuRobo" depends on what the first ranked player using it calls the build sometimes too.

@@varyagace Maybe because I was facing kites at the time, but Etsujin was missing every other burst. Another reason why I leaned towards Ransetsu. That's interesting, back in my For Answer days a lot of the top Japanese players I faced had a more straightforward naming convention. When I hear stuff like "neo statue" or "power baka" I'm just wondering how anyone who isn't a hardcore pvp player is supposed to know what that means lol.

Oh yeah, when I'm entirely invested in close-range those are my go to boosters. This loadout calls for a more balanced option IMO.

Sometimes fashion > function. If you're a Basho arm enthusiast, try the rest of the frame. I think you'll like the defense it offers.

Putting all those LOADER 4 named ACs to shame. 🤣

That could be cool. The Nacht frame has a lot of potential.

Funny you mention that, my initial loadout for the frame was double melee, but since I made that Exia video recently I wanted to do something different. Having a balance between melee and range is nice, don't you think?

I'm guessing you also run the Ocellus FCS because when I tried using any of the pistols on these arms I just couldn't hit the broadside of a barn lol.

Don't tempt me. I've already made some builds that turned Ranked into hard mode but Jailbreak would be impossible mode. 😅

For real, when I was putting this together I quickly realized how tricky it was when it came to finding the right weapons. The arms in particular with their poor recoil and tracking limited my options.

That's what separates a BASHO from a BAWSHO. 😂

Thanks for stopping by and asking. I would suggest checking out my builds based on Jack-O and Blue Magnolia. Both do a really good job at making the Karasawa work. But if you stick around, I have a few more Karasawa builds in the works.

Both have some good ranged attacks. I would imagine the missile rat was questioning everything when they saw a tank keeping up.

SONGBIRDS were nerfed in first balance patch, and it was justified. Initially it was just faster, lighter EARSHOT with its damage split between two projectiles, and also had more ammo.

As was mentioned, the first balance patch nerfed the Songbird, Zimmerman, etc. I do wish they would give the Songbird a slight buff, it's strictly worse than Earshot now, while Earshot feels like a grenade cannon should.

That sounds like an awesome tie-in, since the Internecine alongside the drones and Pulverizers are supposed to be reactivated ancient technology.

It really is! Coupled with the Songbird, you're constantly blasting any opponent.

Not this season. Since I've hit S rank/made top 100 a few times, I haven't really felt the urge to rank up. It's nice seeing some build variety for a change too.

That initial feeling of dread seeing the missile rat became pure bliss when the tank was able to keep up and pulverize it. 😅 That's a good idea. I'm still working on some requests on recreations, but if I get the time I'll look into doing that.

Nice, how're you liking the update so far? There's a bit of a generator shake up for sure. I just dislike how they nerfed the Duckett after it got a much needed buff.

@ uhhhmmm I’m still using the nerf stuff because I’m not going to change ALL my mechs but what I have noticed is more variety. I love using weird stuff no one uses in custom battles and it’s nice to see other builds. Of the duckett nerf…. I still don’t get why the nerfed them when they should prioritize nerfing other stuff but hey, game is still fun AF!

Unknown/Nineball really surprised me. It would be even scarier before the Songbird nerf.

You can't prove that lol. Some lore for my personal ACs would be cool. I think the Rat Catcher has probably the closest thing to lore so far.

Indeed, they're good even after they were nerfed way back when. More importantly, they make great looking blade arms. 😅

I just wish the hover tank functioned closer to hover legs from the previous games. Could've been a nice hybrid of a tank and a quad.

@@dsaBOSS you me and both. The lack of weapon arms and proper hover legs made me enjoy this game much less than the old gen games but don't get me wrong AC6 is really good.

@@ColtonGamingTV I feel ya. For me it's the lack of extension parts. Love AC6, but as someone who played the other games, it feels off that they didn't include the part categories that built upon each entry.

@@dsaBOSS yeah the lack of extensions sucks too. Hopefully that will be remedied in whatever comes next. Whether it be a new game or dlc.

That's true. Glad you like my approach to the blade arms. Come to think of it, I don't think these kinds of arms were ever available to the player, right?

@@dsaBOSS there was a dual blade arm available on 3rd gen, but it wasn't nearly as strong as the Moonlight, and honestly it was pretty terrible. We never got the cool blue long blade arms.

@@varyagace That's right, physical blade arms would've been a cooler concept. It would clearly work too as they were made for the Pulverizer designs.

Sounds about right. Nine Breaker seems to be its own thing with Nineball being potentially based on the original and used to train Ravens.

Probably why they were my favorite third gen entries. 😄
