Bro enemies and bosses from the previous games were fun. Basically a Armored Core Nexus Disc Two situation is what your hoping for with the return of old bosses and iconic missions. Your not wrong there's allot they can do with the ip, I just hope people are still willing to give it a shot.
4:57 I see an issue with this idea. There is a vast disparity in the capabilities of AC's throughout the generations. For example, any ACFA boss could realistically wipe the floor with any AC from both past and future generations. In the same vein, bosses from older generations would fall behind the capabilities of modern AC's such as 4th or 6th gen. That's not to mention how differently AC's are constructed and operated across generations. Primal Armor is only a thing in 4th gen, and the stagger mechanic is exclusive to 6th gen. While it would be very entertaining, it would take a lot of work to implement, both on the balance front and the graphics front. I don't know about you, but seeing a 6th gen AC fight a boss made to comply with the "mind-boggling" graphics of the PS1 doesn't exactly sound immersive. It's a great idea, don't get me wrong, but it's very much easier said than done.
Valid points and I can see them mitigating this by having players use ACs from a specific generation to go up against said enemies to comply with these mechanics. Of course the bosses and enemies of old would need to be updated. Then again, Verdict Day literally had us face a NEXT that is far superior to the ACs we pilot and even Nine-ball Seraph at the time was more advanced than anything the player had access to. Depends how much they want players to struggle.
Counter point, AC:VD had you fight what was effectively an edgy white glint stand in for the final boss in what is canonically the weakest variant of an AC that we've used. Sure the final boss was an ancient machine by the time the game takes place and it probably wasn't fully functional but that doesn't change the fact that it was basically "nuclear bomb vs walking trashcan" and we still beat it. Normals are also present in 4th gen being the equivalent to gen 1-3 ACs, and while we can destroy them in a few shots in a NEXT I don't think it's far fetched for an AC protagonist to pull off something like beating a NEXT in a normal since doing what everyone else views as impossible by any average pilot is kinda the protagonists mo in this series.
absolutely true… i lived all the acchistory since ps1…. this is truly a new era… thanks to the great success of souls games… (that i love at the same time with ac) cuz guys….. u have to love great games made from fromsoft…. no matter what… they are great. so be positive! 💪🏻
A roguelike with coop elements sounds a lot more adaptable to an armored core title than souls, fromsoft made it as an elden ring spinoff probably because they examined their current capabilities and found it's easier to cobble a world together with souls asset than AC assets They know what they are doing
The extraction shooter-esque format could actually work really well for an AC game Even the set in stone hero shooter abilities tacked on top of the gameplay systems would fit if they don't tie them to specific appearances/parts and just have them as an invisible build foundation
Frame Gride 2. This is the answer. I'm sure what "oddies" can mean references on successfull franchises what we're successful but for unknown reason don't get their sequels. Imagine being Tarnished and found old damaged Knight Frame from Frame Gride or get one as ruler being supplied with nevest inventions? It's could really fit in setting without ruining lore - magic mecha can be logically possible in Elden Ring, it's just don't invented yet.
Now I can picture them throwing in a random AC boss fight in Nightreign where Tarnished have to use a Frame Gride to survive. Doesn't have to make sense lore wise, this is basically a parallel universe lol.
I would love a "Raven Nest's" or "All Mind backlogs" game where we play the data logs of previous Ravens or previous bosses as a Training simulation. This would be fun. Learning why y'all fear 9 ball like we doNameless King in a Elden Ring Game and started having PTSD kinda of Fun
Can Make it that everyone starts with a basic set up in each mission has a different event sometimes it could be the same mission but with different enemies forcing you to change your build and strategy
Exactly this. The main format fromsoft has been pushing in AC6 has been 3v3. The Nightreign ver of Elden Ring seems to point out that Armored Core will move onto 3v3 co op. Miyazaki & the team is very aware of all the mods goin on. The mecha rennaisance is here, like you said. Fromsoft KNOWS they will need to keep up and innovate or fall behind. Itll happen, we just gotta wait
All I wished for a new AC content is either co-op, new DLC or more parts, or just a new game. Creating something similar to nightreign for AC would feel weird due to each of the previous title's uniqueness so I hope that one didn't happen
A take on "Nightrein but in AC" sounds fucking awesome with a little tweaking, would make tons of sense for AC aswell considering it could be framed as a job for a trio of mercs Altough for AC6 im kind of just hoping for a bit more coop and some new parts, nothing too insane
You’re so right! FS has known they have some work to do on the netcode (literally Striker bring it up all the time). Perhaps this is their chance to hone and perfect seamless co-op the FS way, and what better story to package that testing ground in than Elden Ring, their best-selling title to date. I imagine the 3-day cycles in Nightreign will play out like a longer Armored Core mission.
I personally am looking forward to playing Nightreign mostly because it's co-op, and I was originally a Dark Souls guy. Maybe I should play the Gundam games while I'm waiting. Does anyone know any good Gundam Console games? Alright, now we just have to wait for a Bloodborne 2.
There are really only 2 choice now for Gundam games. Either it's Gundam breaker 4 for a action loot farming game, or Gundam battle operation 2 for a gacha pvp game.
You only spoke the truth 4:37 If they can do this with Elden... Why not with Armored Core? And honestly, I really want it to happen Can you imagine taking down Armored Core bosses with 3 PVE players? I really want it to happen Not only that, but they could also bring bosses from the other 5 games It would be really good 👍
Them being able to choose enemies/bosses from 15 other titles can really make it a challenging and fun experience for players. *Nineball comes back to traumatize a whole new generation of Ravens.* 👀
Im hoping that fromsoft takes note of armored core suscess and ports their older games to modern platforms, they have so many games that are just unplayable without emulation
Veteran AC fans should still remain as vocal as possible so that the soul of previous games isnt completely lost to appease the masses (i:e Elder Scrolls, Zelda, etc). I'm not an Ac Vet but i can understand why turning speed SHOULD be a thing, for example. 5:05 OG ACs would also be dope. Finishing off a 2 stage boss only for 9-Ball to show up would be a fkin trip
Turning speed is a touchy subject, it has pros and cons. Personally I couldn't stand how it made certain leg types obsolete like Reverse Joints in For Answer until they buffed them very late in the game's lifespan.
I'm interested in seeing wut nightriegn is about as I like co op team pve games I can't wait to do co op in armoured core be great with a wave defence mode or something like halo firefight I love modes like that
I feel like a Nightrein style AC6 would be fun, but there's the issue of movement difference and enemy scaling in previous AC games should we mash all these gens in one game. Going up against J or an Arms Fort from AC 4 against a 6th gen AC would be suicide imo. Maybe they could re-do what AC5 had with co-op, just a little more thought put into it and players should have the option of being solo or co-op for AC 6.5 and forward.
Yes, I already see it. The game starts, and here they stand: I am John Armoredcore Dude on the left - White Glint Dude on the right G1 Michigan "Attack! Get in there, you maggots!"
I agree that Nightreign is a step forward to a better and new AC game or DLC Imagine if they give us an Armored Core version of Nightreign Let Fromsoftware Cook
100% Armored Core revitalize the Mech genre, you can easily see it from Titan Fall 2's getting online play back and running after the second week of AC6's release. (And yes the Titanfall players didn't care saying thanks to AC6 for forcing EA's hand.)
Im so hoping that it doesn't get ignored like titainfall I was an OG pilot there and ive been starved for pills for ages and just internalized its not gonna happen and got a new mecha game to suplement with. I really hope that AC gets more.
Yeah im not worried about the AC franchise. The guy who made Sekiro's combat is the director and they made it very clear they intend to make more Armored Core. They know it will take time to build a larger fanbase. It was as successful as it needed to be.
I'm literally not playing anymore until they fix the basho core bug, and give us new parts. That could probably be years from now since they got other projects that take priority.
Armored Core is the passion project; Elden Ring the international cash cow. Let them milk a bit and then you will have a Keanu AC7 with every feature and the kitchen sink
I'm aware that without Hidetaka Miyazaki, From Soft wouldn't be nearly as well known and successful outside of Japan, but everything I like about From Soft was there before him. The only positive thing he brought from my point of view is that the games are technically cleaner. Apart from that, I hate him because I now need to have the reflexes of a fly for every one of their games. That's maybe OK for one of their series, but the fact that it's becoming the gimmick of every game tires me out.
Honestly a co op roguelike would fit armored core more than soulsborne

I love the Secret Level episode. Watched it multiple times. I hope AC get's some more mainstream attention. I need more AC games. Perhaps a good DLC for AC6 first. And then a follow up in the AC6 universe. And I want some coop real bad. But your idea of fighting ACs from older AC games, not so much. Those are actually different "universes". And competing against a NEXT from ACFA woth your AC6 AC would be impossible anyway.
I'm sure we'll get more AC in due time. You might reconsider my speculation. I'm aware they're all in different timelines/universes but so is Dark Souls and Elden Ring and look what they're doing, so that wouldn't stop FROM. Also, how quickly we forget that players faced a NEXT in ACVD with a weaker generation of ACs and way before that we fought Nine-Ball Seraph, which was comparable to a NEXT at the time. Facing insurmountable odds has always been a theme, so anything is possible.
4:30 I make your words mine, a game where there are alternatives in missions, not having a cooperative with others (mercenaries) that, incredibly, has a lot of allied NPCs but we can't play with other players!? FromSoftware gets everything right but in multiplayer it makes too many mistakes, especially with the servers that keep going down... Bloodborne is living proof of that.
Don't want to discourage you but the reason they are using ds bosses in nightrien is because they can just reuse the assets... I doubt they would with ac because they would have to re do the models to fit they're modern graphics and probably have to redo all the code because of how modern ac changed compared to old ac
Personally I still thing AC got robbed of a DLC by Elden Ring, who just got a DLC not even half a year ago and now they are getting another. The long they take the less receptive people will get to it and the less interest people will get. With more good games slated to come out next year interest will fall even further. AC had had co-op in the past, it's not really that new to the series. While it's neat that Elden Ring getting a new DLC, i just get the feeling that AC just got thrown back into the dust bin to rot for several more years, regardless if it got a Secret Level episode or not. If they won't either make a DLC or a new one in the future until people feel starved like when AC came out (which looks opportunistic when you look back on it) then we have another several years before there's at least a hint before anything new from FS regarding AC comes out. I know better than to get my hope up when it comes to a gaming company.
2:16 like what ? There's like 3 mech action games in development that are barely worth any attention, 2 of them are going to be PvP money milkers. And one of them already was in development hell well before AC6 got released.
Good god no you are not alone coop the shit outa AC6, just incase you don't know the same guy that made elden ring seamless coop mod has done it with AC6 work decently, think it's made by Yui, but check it out on Nexus mods, it's up to 5 players co-op and has invasion to, it's in beta and I have came across a few issues, like low FPS on a certain mission, desynic if the host dies but can be avoided, Oh hear id like to take on 9 ball I know he's infamous in the AC lore. But if you didn't know check out the mod.
Personally, i am not hopeful for either AC or Souls game from Fromsoft movint forward, both have become kinda just cruddy 3rd person shooters that does all the aiming for you. Also i do believe their is a harsh divide between the souls and AC fanbase, seen all kinds of comments from AC players that Souls players ruined their games.
I don't entirely agree with that as those changes were to make the games more user friendly. Hard lock in AC6 being the exception. Can't please everyone.
@dsaBOSS idk, it would make things alot healthier in both games if projectiles had to be aimed for the bare minimum requirement of controlling LOOKING at the bad guys to shoot them, especially for pvp. Alot of builds wouldn't just devolve to just copy paste as much by making that a requirement. Take some melee attacks in the souls where it's better to free aim, for example, raises skill gap and can give you an edge, forcing people to control their attacks is healthier for games in general.
@@dsaBOSS It was a necessary adjustment because 6th gen was going to be the first game in the IP with an orbit camera- you weren't controlling like a tank anymore and didn't have to physically turn to look from side to side.

Sounds like a contrast to Nine Breaker. Instead of focusing solely on PvP, it would be about single player missions.
Itll happen, we just gotta wait
armored core was SUCH A GOOD GAME👌🏽it deserves a DLC we should be able to play as the OG Raven to flush out what he was doing and his motivation
All I wished for a new AC content is either co-op, new DLC or more parts, or just a new game. Creating something similar to nightreign for AC would feel weird due to each of the previous title's uniqueness so I hope that one didn't happen
A take on "Nightrein but in AC" sounds fucking awesome with a little tweaking, would make tons of sense for AC aswell considering it could be framed as a job for a trio of mercs
Altough for AC6 im kind of just hoping for a bit more coop and some new parts, nothing too insane
That's what I'm saying. Great way to cater to both new and old gen AC fans.
All fun n games till they put multiple nineball units deploying from one big arms fort
Then everyone screams in PTSD
I would LOVE coop Armored Core, get on it From
Probably would try that if Nightreign is an success
You’re so right! FS has known they have some work to do on the netcode (literally Striker bring it up all the time). Perhaps this is their chance to hone and perfect seamless co-op the FS way, and what better story to package that testing ground in than Elden Ring, their best-selling title to date. I imagine the 3-day cycles in Nightreign will play out like a longer Armored Core mission.
LET ME FIGHT WHITE GLINT WITH MY GEN 6 AC, I DONT CARE HOW MUCH FASTER HE'LL BE THAN ME
I personally am looking forward to playing Nightreign mostly because it's co-op, and I was originally a Dark Souls guy. Maybe I should play the Gundam games while I'm waiting. Does anyone know any good Gundam Console games?
Alright, now we just have to wait for a Bloodborne 2.
If you also like fighting games, you'll probably enjoy the Gundam Battle Assault series. Miss those games.
There are really only 2 choice now for Gundam games. Either it's Gundam breaker 4 for a action loot farming game, or Gundam battle operation 2 for a gacha pvp game.
You only spoke the truth 4:37
If they can do this with Elden... Why not with Armored Core?
And honestly, I really want it to happen
Can you imagine taking down Armored Core bosses with 3 PVE players? I really want it to happen
Not only that, but they could also bring bosses from the other 5 games
It would be really good 👍
Them being able to choose enemies/bosses from 15 other titles can really make it a challenging and fun experience for players.
I'm interested in seeing wut nightriegn is about as I like co op team pve games
I can't wait to do co op in armoured core be great with a wave defence mode or something like halo firefight I love modes like that
I would love to see co-op return in Armored Core.
For me, i want for Armored core 7 is to have OST's from armored core 5 verdict day... Basically want cosmos like OST...
There is this game I'm in the playtest for called War Robots Frontiers, and their testing range has elements borrowed from the AC6 testing arena
The REAL question is if we can get invincible rummy, nightfall raven or white glint (if the run is too good) as a boss for ER nightreign
I genuinly wish Fromsoft just throws everything out of the window and adds an AC fight in Nightreign
Yes, I already see it.
The game starts, and here they stand:
I am John Armoredcore
Dude on the left - White Glint
Dude on the right G1 Michigan "Attack! Get in there, you maggots!"
I agree that Nightreign is a step forward to a better and new AC game or DLC
Imagine if they give us an Armored Core version of Nightreign
Let Fromsoftware Cook
100% Armored Core revitalize the Mech genre, you can easily see it from Titan Fall 2's getting online play back and running after the second week of AC6's release. (And yes the Titanfall players didn't care saying thanks to AC6 for forcing EA's hand.)
Did that happen with Titanfall 2? Everyone I knew that played it gave up on a sequel, so I haven't heard much about it.
Rogue like armored core... sign me up . Ramdom weapons . Upgrades, engines , thrusters
I would LOVE another Armored core, BUT I'd also love to see re-masters or re-makes of the earlier games as well.
Updated remasters would be nice, there's just some hurdles with that given the different publishers involved with those older titles.
Enjoy the show, and don't forget to smile.
Im so hoping that it doesn't get ignored like titainfall I was an OG pilot there and ive been starved for pills for ages and just internalized its not gonna happen and got a new mecha game to suplement with. I really hope that AC gets more.
an open world armored core would be awesome
Yeah im not worried about the AC franchise. The guy who made Sekiro's combat is the director and they made it very clear they intend to make more Armored Core. They know it will take time to build a larger fanbase. It was as successful as it needed to be.
I'm literally not playing anymore until they fix the basho core bug, and give us new parts. That could probably be years from now since they got other projects that take priority.
Armored Core is the passion project; Elden Ring the international cash cow. Let them milk a bit and then you will have a Keanu AC7 with every feature and the kitchen sink
Don't put that Evil out in the world.
621 pull up a chair we're getting wasted
Love the vids, just wish you were also on Xbox to spar with 😂❤️
Thank you, maybe FROM will consider making their games cross-platform eventually.
@dsaBOSS here's to hoping!!
Well, when youbput it that way. I say good, a testing ground for co-op in their games. Stability would be nice
Am I the only guy that loves AC PVP but, cares more about the story?
4:30 I make your words mine, a game where there are alternatives in missions, not having a cooperative with others (mercenaries) that, incredibly, has a lot of allied NPCs but we can't play with other players!? FromSoftware gets everything right but in multiplayer it makes too many mistakes, especially with the servers that keep going down... Bloodborne is living proof of that.
Tbh i don't really care about ER but my hopium tanks are as limitless as my patience i'll be waiting for AC
Don't want to discourage you but the reason they are using ds bosses in nightrien is because they can just reuse the assets... I doubt they would with ac because they would have to re do the models to fit they're modern graphics and probably have to redo all the code because of how modern ac changed compared to old ac
LET ME DO THE OLD KING ENDING FROM ACFA AGAIN WITH NEW GRAPHICS AND ALL!!
You'd love my video where I recreated Old King and broke 100 million. 💀
Imagine ... The White Glint. I won't say anything else
Dude miyazaki lied they were supposed to be done with elden ring ac6 was supposed to get a dlc
and clive is cool but I need my brawler girl if it's not tiffa it's josie at this point...
Really hoping we get Tifa in a later season.
@@dsaBOSS i just take a brake from tekken8 for now mi hopes where to high....im sad :(
"oMG muh amazon sewage"
"Omg elden ring OmG OMg"
"please make Armored souls please make want easy game"
Back to reddit non-gamer
If they don't do it, I'll just move on and wait for xenoblade ChroniclesX definitive edition to come out
Personally I still thing AC got robbed of a DLC by Elden Ring, who just got a DLC not even half a year ago and now they are getting another.
Nya, thank you!
i think they said its only gonna be like 40 bucks. That said, I can't wait where the secret boss if is FUCKING WHITE GLINT!?!
2:16 like what ?
There's like 3 mech action games in development that are barely worth any attention, 2 of them are going to be PvP money milkers.
And one of them already was in development hell well before AC6 got released.
Soulslike Formula Front
Why , WHY Miyazaki? What was the point of bringing back Armored Core and not use it, at all...
Vc so falou verdades 4:37
please god yes
Good god no you are not alone coop the shit outa AC6, just incase you don't know the same guy that made elden ring seamless coop mod has done it with AC6 work decently, think it's made by Yui, but check it out on Nexus mods, it's up to 5 players co-op and has invasion to, it's in beta and I have came across a few issues, like low FPS on a certain mission, desynic if the host dies but can be avoided, Oh hear id like to take on 9 ball I know he's infamous in the AC lore. But if you didn't know check out the mod.
I waited over 10 years just to get armored core and not even really a really true to form version of the game it's a massive disappointment for me...
ur point is invalid since you use double ear shots
Because night rein exists I now want an armored core co op rouge like.
anyone that watches game awards for anything you want are just a gullible
Sadly the moment that armored core becomes super mainstream is when it will turn gay with flags everywhere.
Bruh....... So true
its a fromsoftware game, if you play it, it means that you are already gay
@@dimagoloborodko6106_va I guess I was gay before it was cool. Been a Fromsoft fan since the 90s.
@@ChubbsMcgoo yes, because I never met a straight fromsoftware fan online or irl
