I love you so much! I recently just found your kislux and i’m in love!! Your videos are so fun and you energy is just MWAH! keep living your life
Unfortunately some "group" riders aren't group riders.
I have a GRX RX 810 gs rear derailleur, do you think it will work?
En el momento en que vi el bolso kislux , supe que tenía que tenerlo.
I wear white shoes in the summer on my gravel bike. They were dirt cheap in a sale!
And are probably no longer white 😄
@@ukgravelco who knows what colour they are under the mud?
You wearing them on Strictly?🤔
😂😂😂
Canal path can get tacky and gloopy in the Winter around the Cookley section. Most of that ride I would prefer to use a rigid mtb although of course you can get around it on almost any bike .
I used to live half way up the Old Wyche Road. I think 4th steepest at the top. Beautiful views, great hills to ride and hike. Thank you for the ride down memory lane.
You're very welcome, thanks for watching 👍
Only thing that makes it summer is the flies
100% from the massive black terrors to the clouds of tiny gits it's the only way you know it's summer, certainly not by the weather!
Perfect for the new white shoes 😂
I've got no cleats for them yet or they'd be deep brown by now! 😄
I love the lost lanes rides, I'll have to try this one soon!
Serious question and not judging, why do some segments do you wear helmet and others you do ?
I had the same when i went up the Wrekin, hard work then at the top so many people talking. Oh and the many e-bikes at the top asking how you managed
Sponsored by Cadbury... Mmmm
Nice views....a comment for you 😜
Thanks 😅
I like them but not for gravel! 😂
Possibly the stupidest colour choice lake could offer they shouldn't even have bothered having a white pair. Their shoes are amazing however i have a pair of winter road shoes excellent.
I run flat pedals and baggy shorts on my S-Works Roubaix SL8 , and take pride in dropping whole groups on my Sunday solo road rides, upstroke is a myth , strong legs trump aero everyday and when you find a saddle that fits you'll never waste money on bibs (or clop around a cafe feeling like you've shat your sisters leggings) again. Pretty sure roadies are more keen on getting dolled up and shaving themselves for their boyfriends attention than actually riding a bike like a man.
Thanks for the tips on pedal selection - added to my list for a future monstercross bike build. Currently riding a Trek hybrid that I've souped up over the years with 40mm all-terrain tyres etc. Still got the original sheet metal flat pedals that have been solid (if slightly uncomfortable with sneakers for commuting) for a good few years. Using with waterproof walking shoes with solid soles and deep treads for hike-a-bike when bikepacking in UK gloop...
The planned monstercross will basically have paddlewheels for tyres 😅
GCN did a test on RUclips a few years ago and found 0 difference in power output between flats and clipless - difference is purely perceptual. (I think a person's power output finds it's way out through any muscle group and the down push is much stronger than pulling up muscles anyway). But they said advantage of clipless is for sprints when racing, just to keep feet on pedals rather than slipping off (and I suppose similarly to keep feet attached in MTB if needed). They might just give a different feel that some people may prefer though.
Yes that makes sense 👍
I’ve got several all different colours 😂
Roadies can be a little odd 😂
Got it rubbish over priced both helmet and mk 17 ! Diablo oil slick ! Not worth the $$$$$ ! Tap feature rubbish when you hit a bump it goes off !
Sounds like a fault, have you contacted exposure?
Hi Gary. This bag looks perfect for me. Just to confirm, is yours the 3.8 litre capacity half frame bag?
This is the 3.0L
great video but my man they make those things in diff sizes get the bag that fits your frame for gods sake :(
It does fit, I wanted to run a full size bottle on the seat tube and the Fustle has a radically sloping top tube so not a lot of room. Also this size fits my hardtail MTB too so all factored in for the sizing
Great bags, I have the frame bag and the top tube bag, the top tube bag uses the frame bag straps so it looks really neat and like you said that tool on the website to show you exactly which frame bag fits your frame is great 👍
Keep it up, you r doing great
Cheers!
What bar bags are you using ? Looks about the size I need

Looks like some good off road stuff there. I mostly do canal stuff htrough stourbridge, kinver and wolverhamptom routes. I also cycle the lanes around enville greensforge and local to those. There's the old Staffordshire railway route, which is a bit overgrown at the moment, but worth a ride too. I've cycled from Stourbridge to Malvern a couple of times and there's some lovely little villages along the route. I enjoy your videos, thanks for making them. It would be nice to join you and a few others on a route some time
you that's me all the time cos i'm shit at navigating.
Just checked on merch.... Sold out 😭
What size did you need. I've just added an XL in choc brown to the store
Any chance you do a size 52 inch chest in the t-shirt?
That's a cool looking bike. I love my 1x12 hardtail for the same sort of rides you went on. What i dislike seeing is e bikes on flatish routes. Maybe I'm just ketting old and grumpy!
In any case the Santini gilet vest is wrong for this... that's how the mesh back pocket of mine got ripped apart the very first hour i wore it...and to reply at your question from an older video again...Santini never answered me back... Anyway, I end up in these type of areas all the time with my gravel bike as well but I do prefer my MTB or " monster" gravel bike anyway They can handle much more😊
I rode spd's for many years but recently ditched them from my Gravel/Adventure Bike to be more flexible with the shoes especially when on multiday tours. I think except on the road bike I am done with clipless.
I call mine a bridleway bike, as it's great on those.
Vitus called them ATB but everyone likes the sound of gravel more to be fair. It's a marketing thing. Road bikes can ride strade bianche but sounds odd calling them Some terrain bikes 😂
or a modern road bike with 700c gravel tires and Tanus armor inserts
actually I am from Canada and I think you could turn any bike including a trike or a cruiser bike into a gravel bike if you put wider tires and more aggressive tire on
I'd call that a bit of bimblin' or womblin' 😊
Rode mtb before gravel and always hated the road sections, now tolerable so I can ride more remote bridleways without boredom.
100% with you there 👌
I carry a small bush saw myself. But I live in Asia, not the UK. Is it legal to carry yours in England?
I think the pull up theory was debunked some time ago ,in terms of power and efficiency Clipless certainly “feel” more powerful though.
Perhaps Multi-surface bike, since ATB is already taken.
The only thing I hate to hear is "push bike".I do push mine when I have to but it's probably the most efficient machine mankind has ever invented(that's bikes in general). We all have a bike that's pretty good for everything. The keener we are the more bikes we have for specific terrain and/or events. The worst scenario for me is mud.I don't like cycling in it at all. This has caused me to narrow down my collection of bikes considerably but I still don't know what to call them individually.
I guess push bike comes from either the first "hobby horse" which was a plank and two wheels and no drivetrain or to differentiate from motor bikes. With you in the mud but where I live if I avoided it I'd only ride off road 2 months a year 😢
Gravel bikes, often never the perfect bike for each section of the ride but overall is the right choice for those rides that encompasses a bit of everything.
True all rounder 👍
They should be renamed “A do it all bike “ Hardly a natty name though 😂
ATB all the way! great content, thanks
Cheers, thanks for your support 👌
I've got an old 3 x 8 mountain bike with road tyres on, fantastic it is and quick.
Sweet, the bike you already have is always the best for the ride you are on 👍
I bought a 11x1 speed mountain bike for work and trans penine. TBH 6 of the gears are worth jack. You peddle and get nowhere uphill, and downhill on the lowest gear you can't keep up.
Just about to take my Revolt down to the Hotchillee Stone Circle ride in Salisbury (will be wearing my UKGravelCo shirt on sign in), this weekend. I’m doing the 155km ride, as the 220 might be a bit of a push. Either way, having a gravel bike lets me enter this kind of event, as I wouldn’t fancy it on an MTB.
Awesome, weather looking perfect for it! Pics in the T shirt would be fab. Thanks for supporting ukgravelcollective Gary
