Best stuff I have seen for Canon video content. I have the R7 but it is pretty similar to the R6. So, great stuff ill be trying out in AZ for making music content

On the current Canon website, there is no option for an R6, it is only R6 Mark II - should I download the Firmware for this camera, will it work? Also, what is the "route of the SD card" mean? Do I need to have my new SD card attached somehow to the computer before putting it in the camera? Thanks, very useful video, about to watch part 2.

Are you able to record externally in clog 3 cinema gamut ? Was this issued addressed or not ??

At this point I’m still using my r6 for travel documentaries for over 3 years, the overheating issue is the only thing I hate sometimes, but has been a workhorse, put it through very though conditions I don’t baby my camera at all, I love the image quality and the reliability (besides the overheating)

"For higher quality, you can charge more"..... The thing is that someone want "higher quality" to pay more or not. Or if there are enough of clients, if you make it faster, have more time for another client, but there are not so much clients.... Especially on that competetive field. Hm...

Thinking of selling my r6 and r6ii to buy the R5c. What do you think of that move ?

But with this HDMI Setting you lost AF on the original Screen, do you focus manually? If i connect an Shinobi, and use the first setting Internal + External monitor than it will not record on SD Card right?

With Canon false color, what color should I aim for to get for a generally correct exposure? Is it green or pink? I never use gray cards, and only judge exposure from what I am shooting. Thanks!

I've seen comparisons where it's shown that C-Log3 gives a step of dynamic range in the highlights at the same exposure, but it's noisier in the shadows. In my tests, C-log1 gave the same picture if I exposed for the highlights and then pulled up the shadows. I think EOS R5 can pick something out with this gamma, but with the way R6 works with the electronic shutter in general (difference is noticeable in photo mode with ES - eos r5 has better DR) - there is simply no useful info for this gamma. For most studio scenes, C-log1 is better. It's easier to grade, takes up a little less space, and I can even assume it heats up the camera less. But I like Canon noise, so I often shoot in C-log3. However, on RUclips this noise is only visible when viewing in 4K quality, full HD completely cleans it. This noise is very very sexy: red and blue grains, does not spoil the detail too much, I love it And from the tests that I see now, there is an impression that C-log2 is a slightly optimistic gamma for the new eos R5_2. They did it again

Brilliant video. So I have R6 mk 2. If I press the * it is eye or subject tracking and servo. If the camera puts a blue box around one person but I want the other person tracked, how do I change what the camera is tracking, please?

Why is my Atomos stuck on 25p not 50p - this is a problem I cannot fix!

Dear friend, first of all congratulations for all the effort made to share with others what you have achieved! This is what made me subscribe because I think you do a lot of interesting work… Thanks to this video I bought a week ago an "Atomos Ninja 5.2 inch 4K HDMI Monitor & Recorder" although I had a Godox Monitor but no recording. Thank you, because I do not regret the choice made! Also then I also buy a 2T Samsung SSD and an Atomos 4k/60 fps HDMI cable... In addition, they use false batteries for the Canon R6 and the Ninja, and through a home-made adaptation they are both powered by an NP-F970 battery (7800mA). All of this is mounted on a DJI Ronin S3 Mini Gimbal. The battery that powers the R6 and the Ninja at the same time lasts around 2 to 2.5 hours. The display on the R6 closes after 1 min so that I can access it when I want and for filming I use a RF 35mm lens more on manual focus, because I can adjust the focus from the wheel on the gimbal. This is the current setup. With FHD/30fps, everything works without interruption as long as the battery lasts, at least 2 hours. Even if I only use the video for hobby, I took a spare battery! With 4k/59.94 fps (IPB Standard) I managed a maximum of 31 min (so over the 30 min limit!) with both SD cards in the device. After about 30 minutes, I continued the test and removed the SD cards from the device. Without the cards in the camera, the recording stopped, although the camera did not heat up, after 20 min. I continued filming... After 4 min it stopped again due to R6 overheating. At the time of the tests, the temperature in the room was 28 degrees Celsius. However, any idea how I can get past this overheating since it seems to have gone over the 30 min limit on 4K? I note that all devices are with up-to-date firmware.

Thanks so much. Found this super helpful and it inspired me to go down a rabbithole and watch a bunch of your other videos! You explain things great! Side note, all the sudden, after changing a bunch of my custom buttons to reflect your suggestions, my shutter button stopped working- yikes! I tried changing them back one at a time to see if it fixed anything (along with all the usual attempted solutions- power on/off, remove battery, etc) so I'm assuming it's unrelated to these customizations, and just a coincidence that I'm encountering this issue at the same time, but thought I'd check to see if you had any ideas what may have happened to cause my shutter button to suddenly stop working!??

Great video! I have the r6 and external monitor (not ninja). Will it help to use a dummy battery, turn off the camera screen, use one card and add ulanZi fan to shoot in 4k? Will it work? My goal is 2 hours, with pressing record every 30m.
