I think the Magic Square version of the small blue robot is the Toon!Rumble while the Newage one is Toy!Frenzy... I mean the Newage small blue robot looks more close to the original toy while the Magic Square one looks close to the toon...

Thank you as you've just saved me $70. I like the look of Xtransbots Locke better than Koot but, after this comparison, it's a pass. I've already have Koot and Locke is currently on sale for $70 and I thought I might upgrade. With Xtransbots, I usually like to watch a review first. I went with the sale for they're versions of Cyclonus, Inferno and Grapple instead at $70 each. Cyclonus will be a future Christmas present but both Grapple and Inferno will be for me. Grapple will be an upgrade over my Takara Tomy version, which will now become a future Christmas present.

I've been looking at the two of these recently and finally decided to go with Koot. Should get him in a few days. I like the look of Locke a little bit more, but from everything I have seen, and the hilariously complicated transformation videos I've watched, it seems like Locke is fantastic if he were a statue that you'd put on your shelf and never touch again. While I don't play with my transformers too much, I do want to pick them up, pose them, maybe transform them once in a while without feeling like they'll disintegrate in my hands! I've only recently gotten into the world of 3rd party, and only have a couple of other FansToys, and while they have some frustrating transformation aspects, they are very solid and impressive in quality and build.

I got the reissue, and the connector piece to Blastoff has already been replaced, and the knee and hip joints are tighter

I bought the carded version of this set . I wish they would of used the english language for the Gift set like the other combiners . I don't know why they used the italian language.

Mine broke at the same place too, kinda just fell off really. $250 Canadian when it was first released. Yup I was disappointed as you would expect better QA from Takara.

I think you forgot to flip a panel on each arm to fill the sides of the alt mode. That's why it has gaps. Thanks for the review, I'm waiting for mine!
