    Aren't you supposed to run the Motorcraft flush and cleaner with the old coolant?

      Prefer to drain the old coolant first. But either way shouldn't hurt, just make sure you get it all out before adding new coolant.

      Not sure about that, are you talking about Bobber or some other trim. My knowledge is that there is no chance in the models until the latest 2024/2025 version.

    I tried fitting this grill to my scout rogue 2023. After hours of trying i just couldnt make the grill fit. I managed to add the grill on the headlight with the clips. But trying to attach the headlight back on the bike was impossible due to the grills thickness pushing the light back in the housing. So the light couldnt be attached on the bike. No space for the ”hooks” to attach on the top of the light. If anyone with a rogue 2023 has a solution. Please let me know.

    • @drifter-indian1448
      @drifter-indian1448 28 дней назад

      I have heard of it before, take a look at the glass cover, some of the stock glass has a small dot/indentation on the bottom to identify the orientation. You can file or cut the grill in that area so that raised indentation on the glass cover sits on it completely. That little cut in the edge of the grill won't be visible after installation, but it will allow the light to go back into the housing. I hope you will get what I am trying to say.. do let me know if that works out.

    I did this a few years ago on my tracer 2017, about to do it again on my 2019 tracer. 1 thing to take into account: those auxiliary connectors are fused at 2 amps. This means that if your phone charges/pulls more than ~24 watts (a lot of phones do these days, quick charging 60+ watts) it might blow the 2 amp fuse. I changed the 2amp fuse on my previous bike to a 5 amp one, increasing the range to (5x12) ~60 watt. The wiring harness handles this without issue (ran it for years). Btw the fuse I’m talking about is located on the front of the bike behind the fairing your indicator lights are mounted to.

      @dibs2021 Месяц назад

      Well if it ever stops working, you probably popped the fuse. Theres a little fuse box behind the (iirc) right fairing. If it happens, just replace it with a 5 amp one :)

    On the instructions for the Motorcraft Flush it says it can be added directly to the old coolant, run 10 minutes then flush.

    • @drifter-indian1448
      @drifter-indian1448 Месяц назад

      Yes, that can also be done.. it just agitates the sediments and build up, just make sure you flush it out and then move to adding the new coolant

    My 2022 Scout Bobber Sixty was supposed to come with black, but it came with chrome. I just found out that the black slip-on mufflers are discontinued. There are still a few shops around the country that have them as of this comment date. But they won't be around for long. I'm replacing my chrome slip-ons and heat shield with black now while I can instead of waiting.

    • @drifter-indian1448

      Makes sense! In my opinion Idian is doing it to make the Rogue more appealing. The Rogue comes with all black header and pipes, I think they wanna prioritize on that vs keeping on the regular bobber. Also, they likely know 90% of the Bobber riders end-up replacing the pipes with something else, seat and pipes are the first things to go..

My hood release lever didnt break on my sonata, but the actual lever mechanism was dangling when I tried to open it one day - - bc the bolt that holds the lever to the body of the car was so loose that it came out! Tried putting several new bolts in, but evidently the threads in the body are damaged or worn. One of these days ill get around to re tapping that hole so i can finally re mount my hood release lever... AFTER i fix all the (other) things (2007 sonata) GOTTA LOVE DOZE HYUNDAIS! 😂

    • @drifter-indian1448

      I don't think that's the case anymore. It was mostly during the early to mid 2022. When the pandemic hit they had a shortage of black exhausts and they started accumulating backlog, after a couple of months delaying the shipments they started delivering the bike with chrome exhaust, when the customers complained they just gave them a coupon to buy a new black exhaust at a later date, that coupon was valid for buying anything from Indian stores.

    2019 was the first year for the USB. I agree 100% that bike is a BOBBER not a Bagger, if you you do a lot of road trips you should get another bike for that purpose. It will do long road trips no problem but it is not very comfortable doing it. I say that from experience I rode from Wisconsin to the state of Mississippi and back, and now I have a 21 Vintage Dark Horse for road trips, a lot better experience doing a lot of miles comfortably.

However, my practice is to do it every year. i usually get about 5-6k miles in a year. In my experience the oil at 6k miles looked bad, and as time goes it loses it's viscosity as well.. i will suggest you change at least around 7-8k miles, if can't do every year.
