How 75 HARD Changed My ADHD. (Why you should do it too)
In todays video we go over how the 75 hard challenge completely changed not only my life but also transformed my ADHD.
Yes you see, 75 hard taught me one very valuable life lesson. YOUR ROUTINE IS EVERYTHING.
Writing down my routine every morning helped to almost focus my brain into understanding it was time for work. sat at my desk.
before starting 75 hard I would often find myself a little lost at periods or times during the day. This would lead to two things happening. One being sitting down on the dreaded couch and doom scrolling for multiple hours.
I hope the video helps you understand we are truly capable of so much more then we realise.

The thing is … Many people nowadays have ADHD symptoms! There is probably one vitamin or some minerals that are missing in our bodies that might cause those symptoms! That’s probably the root cause of ADHD ! Taking medications doesn’t fix the problem but it only masks the symptoms for a while. Health practitioners gotta dig deeper to find the real cause of this pandemic!

I just got diagnosed at 32 and started on 10mg of XR. The effects instantly changed my life. My social anxiety completely vanished and I’m becoming the extrovert I’ve always wanted to be. I made a new friend and joined a club. Side effects are minimal but I’d rather have those side effects than 25 more years of crippling anxiety, depression, failure, and nonexistent social life. Im using the meds to build a social group and new skills so I have something or someone to keep me grounded if I can’t get access to the meds anymore.

After being diagnosed and medicated after almost 50 years wondering what was wrong, I started crying when the meds kicked in and realizing how easy handling your daily life is for a neurotypical person. It was like playing a video game and changing the settings from nightmare to easy mode. I looked at my unmedicated me and really felt sorry for this person, in this case myself, I could see what this dude was going through. It was a very healing experience. So yeah guys get your diagnosis it is never too late.

I’ve been off medication for about 10 years now. When I was a child I think I was given a horribly high dose and was really turned off of treatment. Since then I’ve been able to do a lot with my life. But I’m married now, with a kid on the way and work has become more intense. I started feeling like I was worthless and that there wasn’t enough time to do all of this and after a speaking with my doctor I almost cried thinking that all the noise and self doubt and frustration for not being able to complete simple tasks could come finally come to an end. It’s crazy listening to this video and hearing so many of your symptoms sum up exactly how I have been feeling. I’m also very grateful that the stigma around adhd has lessened

I'll share a bit of my experience using Vyvanse for my ADD and reading disorder (I use 20mg or 30mg). It works great if you take the vyvanse and immediately start studying/working or whatever task you need to complete, but if u take it and go on youtube you will end up wasting all your time and focus on youtube. You'd have to break that bad habit. To reduce side effects: If u take vyvanse early in the morning WITH FOOD (high protein), then take a capsule supplement of the ayurvedic herb, Ashwaganda, at night time it may help with the anxiety/stress come down effect of vyvanse and help you to sleep. Eating healthy and drinking water will reduce the side effects with headaches and dehydration, which you will likely encounter when first taking the medication. Also, just improving your diet to include foods rich in magnesium like Kale and pumpkin seeds helps a whole lot with reducing the anxiety and insomnia. U can also buy and use some magnesium lotion. Worse thing to do is add a lot of caffeine into the mix cuz that will make u jittery and deplete you of the anti-anxiety minerals and vitamins. U will also have really hard time falling asleep.

@@ADHD-Insights That was my first thought too! For people with ADHD Inattentive type (formally known as ADD) this would be a relieve not having to explain why the outside world doesn't percieve them as hyperactive so they don't have ADHD. The ADHD Hyperactive type is measured by the outside world if someone is not being able to sit still. That's it. But DDD would point to our internal struggle in everything we need dopamine for.

Yes, this is called PDA. Neurotypicals call it "Pathological Demand Avoidance". However we neurodivergents more aptly call it "Persistent Drive for Autonomy". We want our autonomy, not someone else's authority. Because it is not often, it seems, we actually remember to do something, and when it's our idea, our motive, and us taking initiative, we're developing on our executive dysfunction, making it more functional. This self prompt gives us more dopamine than being externally prompted. As it has the same mechanism as intrinsic motivation, being our passion or novelty, and extrinsic motivation is associated with chores (aka brain torture). Them telling us what to do and then stalling/moving on to another task looks like demand avoidance, when in reality it just k*lls our motivation since we already were following a strict to do list in our minds which their interruption causes our working memory to falter. And then we get pissed off.

It became impossible after becoming a mom and my adhd got worse. Since going on medicine. I haven't had to have naps at all. I still do the natural stuff that helps me too like- omega fish oil, magnesium, vitamin b/c/d are my favs. Gatorade electrolyte is great. Exercise at the gym, LISTS, 20 phone alarms, Coffee in the morning. Trying to sleep on time. But yea... nothing has ever been as helpful as medicine. So calming, such a relief.

My high school years were the worst I had social anxiety and I’m social awkward I tried get out my shell but it didn’t work. Then my anxiety and depression came in and start taking meds but I didn’t want to. Also I overthink 95% of the day. Negative thoughts, suicide ideation and homicide ideation. I made some friends that hang w now and it’s good but I still have bad episodes of my mental illness when I get very angry and get mental breakdown when I want whoever did me wrong to die and I want to kill them. Forgot to mention I’ve been getting fights my whole life. I strongly believe that some people lack important levels of dopamine for instance. That explains why ritalin works so well for me and others. Good routines with food, excercising and sleep were never enogue for me to feel ok and normal. Ritalin is a tool to complete other areas in life that simply don’t work out without it. I hear alot of people saying, ”you don’t need medicine, just start going to the gym and do this and do that,” it does not apply to alot of us just because of our abnormal levels of diffrent neurotrancmiter levels. I started eating 40 mg for about two weeks to prepare my body. I read that common side effects were lack of aptite and that is something I really, really not wanted so from my very first pill I started working out, thus avoiding that side effect, also not to feel or look intoxicated by feeling high - you just want that minor but highly noticeable feeling of the medicine giving you that little push. At first I got some side effects but they went away quite quickly. I did not feel the effect of the medicine that much so today we added 20 mg. Again, I want to take as little possible so on 60 mg I feel like it really working. That feeling of relaxement and being able to think and sort your thoughts out is something I value alot. All my life I have not been able to watch any movie without having the urge to have 38 websites active or multi boxing / over think and so on so I am really, really glad and hopeful that I am on the right track to find a good dose that is working long term.

Heavily agree with this, for some people medication is needed in my opinion along side the natural tools and solutions suggested. It sucks how stigmatised meds are for us. Made to feel guilty for taking them when all we are trying to do is function.
