Why is the Canadian Taxpayers Federation against automatic Tax Filing?
Просмотров 3932 месяца назад
In my mind, taxpayers should be in favor of autofilling and autofiling tax forms. Their arguments are weak. The only possible reason I can imagine for the CTF to be against it is if they are protecting the lucrative tax filing industry. The tax filing industry has lobbied hard to make sure governments won't do taxes for people.

Raising kids with traditional values: an Interview with Matt and Audra Karam
Hi Brandon. You just can't stop exploring the potential of the brain. I enjoy it. Thanks.
Hi, I have a question. They offer a Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma similar to those offered in the UK which are sometimes considered as “mini masters”. This also leads to the post-nomials PGCert and PGDip. Do you know if these programs also award post-nomials or no? I have no intention to use this to advance into a masters/PhD just want to learn an additional qualification and this one seems too cheap and too short in duration to be true. Any thoughts?
You are right, I see them now... In addition to their masters they do offer programs called postgraduate certificate and postgraduate diploma that contain less content than their "masters". I'm not from the UK and not familiar with the exact standards as what could be considered a PGCert or PGDip whether it would be acceptable or not to use the acronyms. Reading the wikipedia articles it seems those designations may mean different things in different countries. Do PGcert or PGDip programs have to be registered and approved? Is it just a certain amount of hours at a university. I feel from the vast postgraduate offerings that it might not be as tightly regulated as the masters and phd programs and you could comfortably use PGCert of PGDip. not sure though.
Thank you for your review this was very informative I nearly got scammed
Try arm weights. it gives a very big result for very little weight. I use 2.5 pounds

Hello every body people, I am Milo LAJOIE,I'm a doctor.
Hello Brandon. The brain retraining. Old habits die hard. Can the ball and band exercises benefit someone with back arthritis?
Yes, very much so! While arthritic changes can lead to some painful conditions, Spondylosis (spine osteoarthritis) is often a common incidental finding in the painfree so is rarely the source of the problem. Actually, I've had a couple of rought days (maybe a rough month...) and haven't been taking the best of care of myself, I noticed just 15 minutes ago I was getting a sharp pain with the slighest Right head tilt. Sure, I do have osteoarthritis in my neck so I could imagine the bony spikes (osteophytes) blocking me or the bone-on-bone interactions... but instead I found a hand towel, I did the SNAG exercises from another video, and now I can head tilt painfree. The only thing the osteoarthritis is responsible for in my neck is it sounds like sand grinding when I move my neck but it has no association with any pain or discomfort I feel because that is always kept at bay with mobilizations and exercise.
It may not even be specific core exercise. The evidence is weak in quality but it seems like core-exercise versus being active in other ways has similar low back pain protection effects. The proposed control focused exercises isn't necessarily what was done in the studies though. I've had good success with the shown exercises in helping people with back pain. But other exercises can help to.... Think about Tai chi... slow twists with slow arm movements and balance shifting. They are basically doing low back, neck, shoulder, and balance rehab everytime they do a session!
@@brandonramakko Thanks Brandon. I appreciate your broad concerns on overall health and more importantly maintenance.
Thanks for your explanation. I was shocked that your video is just 3 months ago, I checked the price for this course is 2,772 USD now 😅
Well timed Brandon. Winter is a few weeks away. Thanks.
Hi Brandon. Who knew? My brother's daughter just arrived in Bali to start a month long adventure heading northeast. Thanks.
So cool. I hope to return to Indonesia soon and eventually settle down there. Aside from the air pollution, Indonesia is pretty awesome.
You are not going to jail
You are good. Is more a post gradúate degree for continúe education on that matter is good
I Am doing the Aquatic program and is really good. But since is an emerging profesional is no homologe program and it respond more to a continúe education certificación. Is for really good to my experience but not real probably for that need real one. You are true in that regards you could say a post gradúate focus
Thank you so much!!!
Their postgraduate diploma in chemical engineering is a scam. The only good thing is that information is summarized. However, to be a postgraduate program you need to be tested on technical content similar to the professional certificate in chemical engineering (EIT - Australia) which is much more difficult.
I think it's because of corruption in police department
The actual police officers were very helpful to us in getting it sorted out. It was office workers and bureaucracy that frustrated us. Is it ineptitude or malicious intent? There is corruption in the government (in all governments!?) but all actual police officers we dealt with seemed to be trying to just help people, (sometimes just navigating the stupid paperwork) - the purpose of a public servant.
🎉 nice.
Thanks Brandon. A view of Indonesia. I was enlightened and entertained.
I am from Colombia and I know a friend of mine who is doing a bachelor's degree in physical sciences and then his own master's degree, bearing in mind that everything is legal and true with its respective apostilled diploma and certificate or valid here in Colombia, since all this is issued by the Mexican education system. What would my friend have to do to do, for example, to do a Phd/doctorate in physics in the USA? Would he have to show the approval of the Colombian Ministry of Education validating the studies carried out by the aforementioned university in order to apply, just like any other university student from Colombia who subsequently wants to specialise in the USA, or what paperwork would he have to follow?
I think you are right. If it is a program approved by the government, then it is treated like any other masters from columbia. You'd need the certificate, likely a transcript, and may need it translated into english.
Do not pay for education in TECH... Scam alert.
Hi Brandon. Love the rants. They are always bang on and apply broadly. Thanks.
Don't take it down you are doing right telling us the truth
Thanks Dr. Ramakko. I recently bought a tread mill. 2+km a day. 15 minutes. Can't hurt right? At least not forever.
That is Amazing!
this "university" is really BAD, they content is good only in the summary..but no teachers, no support, no one person answer you real academic questions.. i think they make money and take advantage of the people like me...scam and bad quality
Thank you for taking the time to inform us with your findings You save me to make a mistake even I'm just trying to get a license as a interior Designer to be able to do more business in my current job
I’m a medical doctor who contacted them for a Master’s degree in Paediatric Emergencies. I’m now skeptical after this report. They have given me a payment deadline. I think I will stick with Ireland’s Royal College of Medicine. Thank you for all the information
Thank you for this very informative video, I was almost taken for a ride. They spam you with millions of messages on WhatsApp pressuring you to enrol before the scholarship expires, it's crazy. I can't even find a straight forward answer online so thank you really. You saved me so much money😅
Why do I always check reviews after paying, OMG! 🥲
Dude, the POOREST people in the world have the most children and are able to survive- you'll be fine.
Thank you Brandon for the Video, I was trying to find out more about the university as I am thinking to study for their professional masters. What confused me is, on their certificates there are credits earned and apparently it is recognised by European high education authorities?
Look at the wording, the program credits are "equivalent to". The university is a recognized institution. The professional programs are not. The professional masters can't be used to meet government requirements or to apply for a phd. Info might be good and might look good on your resume though.
I've personally found that movement helps mitigate the motion sickness/ brain disconnect issue. I always prefer to actually turn my body over stick rotation, which I find uncomfortable and immersion breaking. Starting out with VR, I would walk in place as I moved in game to give my body that sense of movement. Also, I think a vr mat is probably the most useful piece of kit to have. It keeps me away from obstacles since I know that as long as I feel the mat under my feet I'm clear of hitting anything.
Pistol Whip kicks my butt.
I have a my own Quest 3 already earlier this month, and it was awesome! 😎
Dope VR gaming channel > UniqueVRguy 🔥🔥🔥
Audio Trip is my current go-to workout app, the new DLC offers a 30min mix with dance choreography that'll get you sweating!
A cautionary tale for current and prospective Meta Quest VR headset owners (for sim'ing or gaming): I'm on day 23 of Meta holding my Quest headsets hostage. I've been using Oculus/Quest devices from the day they started making them (10 years ago?), and I have not been required to give my date of birth to Meta in all this time. But they recently demanded my DOB under threat of disabling my Quests, and they made good on that threat 23 days ago. Meta can metaphorically brick your headsets, any time they want, and for any reason they want, and you will have no defense against it. Conclusion: Think carefully before you BUY anything from Meta; The thing you BUY will not be yours.
great info, yep they can change the terms of service at any time and you just have to take it or else. A similar story, I'm trained in sonography and when I bought my unit there was a subscription for cloud saving. They changed the terms of service and now the subscription is required for locally saving the images - a medical reporting necessity is to record images. Forced connection to wifi periodically and forced auto update and updates the firmware to only be compatible with the newest version. The companies are testing the boundaries of what they can get away with.
@@brandonramakko _The companies are testing the boundaries of what they can get away with._ They need not bother 'testing', as we all willingly give them whatever they want.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
With a masters degree, why is it that there is no research element in the program of study???? There a question on the format of the certificate from this university, signatories ect.
Yep!
Hey Brandon. I was offered a teaching position at their company, but honestly there are so many red flags about it. I’m not sure if I should continue with the process. I recently graduated and I’m looking for a starting job, it’s really difficult finding jobs without experience, and they seem to be ready to hire me. Difficult dilemma
The quality of the programs seems okay. I was actually contacted by a worker of the company after the videos aired and it is the marketing/sales department that is under pressure to be scam-like. Workers in those departments are helpless... as you need a job to live and they have to just do whatever the higher ups ask.
this is brilliant i just ordered my quest and getting it tomorrow 😃and being overweight this is the content i need, as long as it gets the blood pumping it's a bonus ive been waiting to get into VR but all the others seemed like the film lawnmower man but this seems close to what we've always been promised
Awesome! The blood pumping is the key! Honestly, some games are very simplistic because it is running on cell phone tech. Still fun though. Some games are amazing. The feeling is just right in most games. It feels so good. Like you are really doing it. I swear playing minigolf I feel the ball being hit (I didn't mention it, but the controller shakes when you collide with things). Someday I hope to have a gaming pc to fully take advantage of what it can do visually. As a health professional I'll gently remind you that losing weight happens more in the kitchen than by exercise (much easier to eat 400Cal less than to work off 400Cal), but exercise has its own types of benefits. The workouts can be intense. Even the archery one, I couldn't hold a bow for more than 7 or 8 minutes straight at first. I really was sweating profusely and exhausted with sore arms for 2 days after boxing for 8 minutes. I had to build up the endurance and strength. I felt so good though. Getting stronger every week. Much less back aches too. Body feels lighter again like it did a decade ago. I wish you the best of luck and have fun! 90% of my exercise is now VR but I mix in some rehab type exercises and some weightlifting now and then. Check out my health education playlist for some rehab type exercises for the upper back, neck, and knees. LOL, the low back video has been on my list of things to do for 5 months now... I'll get to it....eventually.
@@brandonramakko cheers mate ive changed my diet to carnivore and basically OMAD being bacon and eggs (just need to cut down on beer) hopefully get my energy levels up then back to the gym also ive subbed to you
wow, pretty hardcore diet strategy! I'll be rooting for your success.
Brandon, do you think this Harvard course is similar to the Celta course? I don’t know which one I could choose.
What a great question. The Celta being the "Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages" by Cambridge and is 120 hours. Reading through the program description, it sounds like a mixture of the TEFL program I took and the Harvard course. If you are an english teacher, then perhaps CELTA is the way to go. No schools are asking for Harvard teaching certificates but some jobs are looking for CELTA certificates. The Harvard course is very general since teachers of all disciplines are taking it and is more specific to a university setting where as CELTA is focused on english and teaching a broad age range. There were peer reviewed assignments and submitted videos in the Harvard course but it seems like CELTA is more involved and is more hours of work than the Harvard course.
@@brandonramakko yeah I’m an English teacher. I didn’t pay attention to the Harvard course. So it’s for all teachers. Thank you! It was a great help.
normally you have receive batman arkham shadow and beat saber for free, for the motion sickness, if you don't have seasickness ( who is the ame mecanism) it will gone with time
Yeah, I saw that the new packages on amazon include the new Batman Game. This review is after a year of ownership. I got asguard's wrath 2 when I bought it last year (actually I still haven't tried it yet). I really do get sick and unsteady to the point of falling over and throwing up in some games. Even the games with strong vignetting I'm a little unsteady afterwards with a bit of a headache - still worth it to play some games. I'm not willing to put myself through torture to condition myself to play games with controller movement or something like carve snowboarding. 95% of my use is exercise focused so game playing is sort of low on the priority list and there are enough games non-nauseating to keep me busy. I might be sensitive to this stuff. Floating in the ocean also will also make me unsteady the rest of the evening and I feel like my bed is rocking back and forth all night.
@@brandonramakko The way to get over VR sickness is to play until you start feeling sick and then stop completely until it goes away. Next time you play, you'll be able to play a bit more till you feel sick. Your tolerance will increase. Rinse and repeat until the time you can play without feeling sick is infinite.
Just picked up my Quest 3s yesterday. It definitely has had me sweating. Appreciated hearing about your experiences and advice for VR!
I just randomly found this fine video through the algorithm and when I heard you say: "GO BRANDON!" I was startled and thought I was going down some Trump rabbit hole. Then I noticed your name, lol. Unfortunate for you, like being called Karen from birth and suddenly it takes on a new meaning. In any case, just found that funny. Thanks for the review, have been considering this for my daughter this christmas to help her stay fit
Awesome. I never considered the anti-Biden slogan. I find the headset isn't a replacement for all exercise, but it is the source of 90% of my exercise. I still do some rehab-type exercises (check out my health playlist) to keep my neck and knee problems from coming back and it does feel good to sometimes go to the gym and lift some weights.
Hello Brandon. Thank you for this relevant video. The ads are showing up on TV for VR units.
That's really worrying
I debated about how to reply to your comment as I have a little extra info. I haven't been extradited to Andorra and it is likely they only use the legal threats by a lawyer and they don't follow through - according to an anonymous source.
I tried it after Connection's video, but for some reasons it worked only with the door closers on the inside side of the door. I wonder what am i doing wrong...
The principles should be the same for most modern hydraulic door closers, but the position of the adjustments might change. Maybe you have a strange one with ancient or new technology?
@@brandonramakko Looks the same, but doesn't have letters and numbers next to the adjustments. I guess i need to experiment a little more 😅
I also saw that video and immediately fixed my friend's apartment door. So simple!
